Was the original roll higher (the forum ate the rolls and spit out something else)? Or was there confusion about Beegred's AC ?
The original rolls were higher. Thing is, I needed to see the breakdown of rolls to figure out how much necrotic damage Orubis took, and hovering the mouse over the damage wasn't showing it to me, even a couple hours later. So I just edited it to add some text (no new rolls, and only to the end). That was enough to trigger the manipulation warning, which caused all the rolls to re-roll.
7? Pretty sure when I looked, it had been 31 in total, so I'm not going to argue, but wow. What a difference
You're not down to 7hp, you took 7hp worth of damage. And you have to reduce your HP maximum by 7hp.
I haven't touched your character sheet.
Ok, I reduced my total and my max hp by 31, as that's what I understood from the description. I didn't draw any distinction that some damage was necrotic and some was not, nothing was labeled as such.
When I did that, I still had hp. Now I look back, and I'm down to death saves. This happened after you made a distinction of damage.
I don't actually care if I'm down. Stuff happens, it's part of the game. Worst case, I roll a new character. But I have never had this issue of things being changed in my character sheet in any other campaign, and I've had this more than once in this game.
What is going on? As far as I'm aware, no one but you or me is able to change things.

I have no idea. I have not altered your character sheet in quite some time. The other players can speak for me, I don't alter their character sheets either. The only times I have, and it is rare, I mention it in the thread for whatever reason I chose to do so.
To be honest, you can all be cheating and I wouldn't know.
Beegred tries to burst out of the webs that are restraining him. (If this is a STR save, or an Athletics (STR) check, then add +3 to the next roll for proficiency.)
STR check vs. DC 12: 18
I think it was a saving throw. Either way, you made it. Do you want to move or do anything with a bonus action?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yeah, risk moving to J14, to limit the movement of the creepy gnoll.
That is another save for greased web movement. DEX save vs. DC 10: 21

The grease you found is only applied to hands and feet. It is understood that your characters make an effort to not get the rest of their bodies stuck to the already existing webs.
The glob of webs flung by the spiders hit the body as well as the surroundings, to restrain you.
Spiderclimb allows you to 'stick' to a surface. It doesn't prevent you from being stuck to a surface. (I did home rule allowing it to navigate the existing webs without the difficult terrain penalty. But I'm not extending that to creature attack features, sorry.)
Since I'm playing Orubis on this turn, I went and fixed his character sheet. His Max HP was reduced by 31 hp. I undid that and reset it to 31 based on what he said earlier in the thread. Then I reduced his HP by 20 and his max HP by 7. He currently has 11 hp.
Out of 8 attack rolls (halfling luck and disadvantage at work), I got two 1s, two 2s, a 3 and a 5. So 3/4ths of the rolls were in the bottom quarter.
Nice to know the die roller is still doing its annoying behavior.

Not sure why you didn't choose to use Gust and make the check with your spell casting modifier?
Because I completely missed your reply to it :)
So either adding +4 or +7 will beat 12.
I will... not edit the post, but instead add another one.
Point of order
Does spider climb or the applied grease have any effects vs webbing by the spiders?

I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks, but not going anywhere so I should still be posting every day.
It is Orubis's turn. Will give him a day before taking their action for them.

Sorry folks, missed a couple days...
Going over the main thread, it's Beegred's turn. Is Quasimodal around?

Checking in.
This is the second round of combat Orubis has missed. Last time he posted, he seemed upset.
What do you all think? Is he gone? Should I play him on autopilot?
Possible - they've been active on the forums according to their profile, just not in our game. Perhaps DM them to see if they answer?

Going to reach out via DM.
Sorry for the hold up.
Well, Nshrock (aka Orubis) is not posting anymore and is not replying to my DM's. Yet he is still active in the forum.
I can only assume they are not participating anymore... I will play for Orubis and get a post out as soon as I can.
Understood. Thanks for checking with them. It is what it is.
Nshrock/Orubis has removed their character from the campaign. Message is pretty clear.
So I played him, repeating the same attack he used in the last round. And he crit. And nearly maxed out damage.
Don't know what RNJesus is trying to tell me...
Oh wow, that's a massive hit indeed! And he's still up?! Damn..
