I assumed that the tide of oozes left their fights with the gnomes and are coming to greet us (soon), but that Beegred would initially react to the gnomes cheering as support for the PK's speech.

Thank goodness. But I'm pretty sure there are still a million ooze monsters mingling around
After PK is down, I think we can oblige that obnoxious city guard and leave right away, so they can take all the credit for winning the fight. That would include the cleaning up the million leftover oozes.

City guard?
I think he's talking about one of our child warriors that Jaeger trained. The one that wanted to claim the city defended itself
Thurnir looks around at the army of oozes- are they still attacking?
Do you leave the cavern to go see? They didn't arrive before TPK died, but they can't be far.
We've done our part, and then some. I vote for back to a restful room, after finishing up any antics with Glabagool. Hopefully the dirt gnomes can handle the oozes now that they aren't being directed by a madman.

I wasn’t clear they were Not in this cavern too. Thurnir is going to help the gnomes that are hurt in this room, then go with the group. He will look around to see if there’s any treasure or anything in the king’s area.

though Beegreds survival is WAY better - we still might make it home safely
Also I'm wondering if the Pudding King was some vessel for the sentience that the oozes displayed including our poor friend Glabbagool who looks like they want to eat us now.
Not sure we want Glabbagool to 'eat' the pudding king so we can come back when everyone is more civil heh
But I dunno if we're about to be over run by oozes etc or why the gnomes were cheering

If you want to do an investigation, that will take time. Roll an investigation if you're ok with that.
For the Survival check, Orubis definitely (+6).
Skameros is the other one with proficiency, so he should either roll or Help.
(EDIT: Nevermind, Skameros has already taken charge of the situation, by rolling with Advantage.)

Can we take a short rest at the Menhir?
Your party and the injured Strike Team can basically do nothing for several hours. Feel free to take a short rest.
