The floating stones don't seem to stop moving away as the voice responds, "I do not know what you are capable of, A Skameros's not food. If I have answers, I can go find you in the place not where the King tells us to stay?"
Rodolfo says, "Well... that was something. It's also good to know that all the oozes will kind of react in case they spot something. They are all linked. Don't know yet if it's good or bad, but it's something."
He looks around - any way to explore further from here or is it all blocked by oozes? Anything on the ceiling?
In the darkness, darkvision doesn't reveal coloration. All you can tell for sure is there are some darker splotches interspersed randomly around the ceiling, and none of them are moving.
Your party is currently near the top right (north east) corner of the ruins of Blingdenstone. You cannot go any further east, and if you wish to proceed south along the eastern edge, you will have to deal with the chamber that has the dozen or so oozes and the Gibbering Mouther.
Rodolfo says quietly, "Before we head back - Beegred, can you take a look around from the ceiling? I'll give you ability to walk on walls and ceilings for the next hour."
He casts Spider Climb on Beegred. While doing so he holds a small stone that briefly flashes green, then hands it to Beegred as well. "This will protect you from acid. Give it back to me once you return please."
(turning Transmuter Stone to "resistance to acid" and giving it to Beegred)
Beegred follows Rodolfo's instructions, especially after the Spider Climb and acid resistance.
(I assume it is to take a closer look at the ceiling dark splotches?)
If there are nearby areas that need scouting, he is willing to do that.

With Rodolfo's magics, Beegred is able to move up a nearby wall and upside down on the ceiling. Approaching one of these dark splotches, Beegred is able to confirm that it is not an ooze, but something equally dangerous: green slime.
Normally these hazards tend to drop onto the heads of passersby beneath them, but this particular patch seems to be dormant at the moment.
Beegred will climb down to the party (avoiding going underneath any of the blotches) to inform them of the green slime danger.
Hands back the rock to Rodolfo.

The return to Inner Blingdenstone is uneventful. You find Senni who redirects you to go report to Burrow Warden Jaeger about your news of the Pudding King and the Prince and Princess. The ghost immediately leaves to inform the strike team of your findings.
You are once again left to your own devices, as the gnomes and wererats are engrossed in their drills and preparations.
Thurnir says “I be hearin about ye findin some drow of some sort someplace in the tunnels? Whot say we go clear them out? Mayhap they gots some magic weapons we kin use. Or if ye wants to go deal with oozes, I’m ready fer that now. Either way, but let’s get movin... I’m not one fer sitting around and drinkin pints…”.
Rodolfo says, "The drow will probably still be there afterwards. The most help in preparing for the battle would be to clear out some of the oozes up north where we just were. And the slimes as well."
After coming to an agreement, your party gathers their equipment and heads off into the Rockblight. When you reach the great doors, you find them unguarded and unbarred. The dangers of the Rockblight seem to have been mostly eliminated, and other pressing matters are keeping gnomes too busy to babysit a door.
As you walk through the Rockblight, you realize how much of a hazardous place it was with the ghost of Udhask haunting the nearest chamber, the medusa further in, the gargoyles and elementals hiding or waiting, with Ogremoch's Bane ready to possess any creature made of earth and stone. As you enter the crystal chamber with the lone petrified gnome holding a piece of crystal in front of his eyes, and look into the darkness of the cavern leading to the petrified drow, you realize that these are the last dangers you were able to find in the Rockblight. Once the petrified drow are gone, Ogremoch's Bane will have nothing left to possess. It will have to leave, or wait patiently for creatures it can possess to wander into this area again.
“Right! Let’s smash some drow statues n mayhap deal with this nasty dust some..” Thurnir says. He seems pleased to be heading out. He takes the lead, his rapier and shield at the ready, moving quietly with practiced steps, eyes looking into the darkness.
Thurnir leads the way into the chamber. The scene is familiar for the party, but new to Thurnir. Standing in the center of the room are two dozen statues standing erect as if at attention during a military parade. At the entrance where Thurnir now finds himself, are rubble of half a dozen destroyed statues. In the back of the cavern are rotted remnants of furniture, their orderly arrangement and shapes reminiscent of beds, tables and stools. Most are nothing but silhouettes of dirt on the floor and those that have any remnants of their former shape look like they'll crumble to dust at the merest touch.
Upon setting foot in the cavern, a large cloud seeming like a sand storm, fills the entire chamber. When it occupies the same space as the members of your party, you all feel a sinister consciousness, and it bleeds malevolence. Powerless to harm your party as a cloud, it quickly concentrates into 6 funnels attached to 6 of the nearby petrified drow. When the cloud is fully absorbed by these 6, their heads swivel towards the entrance and their feet dislodge themselves from the cavern floor. Stone weapons and shields are raised in your direction.
(I rolled initiative in the VTT and corrected for the initiatives already rolled in the OOC thread. Beegred begins, with Orubis next)

Rodolfo says, "Yeah, this is a rough area. No wonder it wasn't claimed for living conditions."
He puts the stone away, "Lets head back then and report what we found out about the Prince and Princess, whatever they may be."
