“Well, the pudding king is dead. What’s gonna happen with the rest o’ em now, I wonder? Hey- don’t eat him! He’s on our side yeh big jelly!” Thurnir yells at the gelatinous cube to try to stop it engulfing the elemental.
he will check around to see if anyone is badly injured but can be saved.
Of those that aren't unconscious, the one standing Strike Team member is badly hurt. His arms are mostly dissolved and there's a lot of open flesh on his chest and legs. His eyes look wild and angry, which is probably all that is keeping him standing.
The unconscious strike team members all have serious damage to their flesh.
Narstin is walking but is nearly blind from the acid damage to his face. His hands are also nearly dissolved.
Beegred took some splash damage.
Otherwise, there are two dead gnomes just outside of the cavern.
Thurnir mentioned that the rest of the party should do something useful while he is doing triage. The short-attention span halfling will start poking the throne area.
If Rodolfo is willing to Investigate around PK's throne for items or anything useful, then Beegred will Help him. If PK had healing potions, that would be great to help the fallen soldiers. If PK was using a magic item to control the oozes, then best to discover it so it doesn't fall into other evil hands.
(Beegred and Rodolfo are the only party members with Investigation proficiency. The INT 8 halfling is better off giving Advantage to Rodolfo's +7 check roll. I'm not sure how passive Investigation would work, but with his Observant feat that is a 17.)

Rodolfo looks around carefully, wary of any oozes ... oozing in. "Hold on Narstin, we might have won. We'll take one last look around the room and then go back to Blindgenstone."

Thurnir goes to each of the unconscious gnomes and carefully touches them, saying a quiet prayer to Moradin. He has 5 HP left in his lay on hands pool, so he will restore consciousness to as many as he can.
He will cast cure wounds on the one who is standing 8
the scent of a hot forge follows him around as he works.
As Rodolfo and Beegred search, Thurnir uses his divine gifts to heal the Strike Team enough they can at least limp along on their own two feet.
The earth elemental flails around in the now transparent form of Glabbagool who struggles to contain it.
After examining the throne and the foot stool, Rodolfo and Beegred find the footstool to be hollow. Inside is a small pile of coin (55gp, 30ep), a potion bottle with familiar looking red liquid in it, two spell scrolls and a large varnished eyeball.
Giving up on the pointless struggle, Burrow Warden Jeager abandons the lump of stone that remains of the elemental. He easily floats out of Glabbagool's and chides you all for not fleeing immediately. "Go now. This one will strike at you next! I will fetch more help to aid your escape."
Outside of the cavern, shapes can be seen moving past the entrance, oozing along silently.
Beegred: "We are not fleeing. We are carefully moving to a better strategic position."
After collecting what Rodolfo found, he flees back to the city. (If there are unconscious soldiers, he will assist in carrying one.)

Thurnir says “ya, let’s get out o’ this place. Glabbagool- I thought yer on our side? there’s better stuff to eat than that rock. Eat some of these oozes!”
Glabbagool doesn't respond, and begins to approach the nearest of the group, although he appears weighed down by the still massive earth elemental corpse.
Outside of the cavern is a chaotic scene of oozes heading in random directions. Up walls, on the ceiling and every which way. Some are visibly disappearing in small fissures that no one would have noticed until the oozes could be seen seeping into them. The way back is not without peril. The Strike Team can't move very nimbly and the oozes move erratically, without direction or purpose.
(Make a group Survival check to navigate around the oozes. That means 2 rolls: one character with advantage or two individual characters each roll Survival.)
Skameros the bugbear feels in his element as he skulks and times the party's movements to remain out of the range of the oozes senses. The large shape of Glabbagool, unmistakable as it digests an earth elemental tries to pursue, but is inconvenienced by their last meal and can't keep up.
The members of the party feel like an encounter is imminent on several occasions, but Skameros calmly dismisses what the others fear. With some well timed distractions, travel is sure and steady. Then Burrow Warden Jaeger appears again, with a pair of Galeb Duhr, who make the escape even easier. Once in the protection of the Menhir, the Galeb Durh return to their spherical forms and Burrow Warden Jaeger orders all of you to stop and recover.
The oozes frequently move past but seem to veer away from the Menhir, providing your party with a view as several hundreds of oozes and slimes of various kinds make their way past into the Rockblight and beyond. Even Glabbagool passes by quietly, without stopping or even a goodbye.
The exodus of slimes and oozes takes many hours, trapping you next to the Menhir for the immediate future.
Rodolfo guides Narstin to the Menhir as well and explains that it's safe. He then promptly falls over and starts quietly snoring (recovering one level 2 spell slot and two level 1 spell slots as well as some health).
Once he wakes up he asks Beegred to take a look at the spell scrolls and the varnished eyeball. He will ritually identify all of them.
Thurnir gladly takes a rest. before resting, He casts cure wounds on the most injured amongst the group -twice 14 and 6. Either on the same or on different individuals.

Beegred will use 4 hit dice during the short rest: 27
One more, to get near full health: 8
After that, he will watch after the items while Rodolfo the Identifying.
He will also discuss (in a hushed voice with the group) what to do with the pile of found coins. His suggestions is that everyone takes 10 gp, 5 ep. The remaining coins (5 gp, 5 ep) can be handed to Narstin, to be donated to the city's widows & orphans funds.
(If someone wants to divide the coins differently, that's fine. Maybe give the city gnomes a bigger cut. The party still has a number of gemstones, that are worth a lot when they can get back to the surface.)

After resting for an hour, Rodolfo takes another half hour to ritually identify the two scrolls and the varnished eye. He discovers a scroll of conjure minor elementals and a scroll of speak with plants. The varnished eye is a single use crystal ball of true seeing.
Thurnir heals the most injured of the strike team, who's exposed muscle and bone begin to be covered up with new skin.
Rodolfo hands all of the items back to Beegred and pulls out the two books he fished out of the acid. Time permitting he will identify those as well.
