Orubis will try to lead this pack away, using the grease Rodolfo found to expedite our trip on the webs.

Should have added a note saying my post would be continued after rolling checks in the OOC thread. The spiders wrapping the corpses in cocoons was just flavor, not an encounter.
Moving on (Ignoring the above post):
Your party makes decent progress, quickly adapting to movement on the webs with slippery hands and feet. Nearly an hour passes before a cloud of mist floats in your direction, weaving around the webs with sentience. Before anyone has a chance to process this, the mist transforms into a gnoll 30 feet away. The gnoll speaks in a yippy barking language no one recognizes, except for one dreaded name: Orcus.
(Beegred, with a passive perception of 20, notices movement around the body of the gnoll)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Skameros rushes up to the gnoll, who deftly sidesteps Skameros's swing. Skameros's second attack hits the gnoll square in the chest as it seems to decide to just take it, and the edge of the greataxe doesn't seem to do as much damage as would be expected from such a great blow.
Skittering around the body of the gnoll are three tiny creatures that appear to be nothing more than severed hands. They leap off the gnoll and bury themselves into Skameros's fun, digging their filthy claws into his flesh:
Severed Hand attacks vs. Skameros:
Attack: 18 Damage: 2
Attack: 5 Damage: 2
Attack: 4 Damage: 3
The gnoll emits a bone-chilling cackle. Everyone makes a DC 15 Wisdom Saving throw. On a fail you are frightened for one minute. You repeat the save at the end of your turns. On a success, you become immune:

(On a crit, double all dice, so Hunter's Mark also doubles: 6)
Thurnir shoots twice. The first bolt gets stuck in some webs and the gnoll simply unflinchingly stares at Thurnir after the other embeds itself in his torso. The gnoll pulls it out and it doesn't appear to have penetrated as deep as it should have.
But it does introduce the chance of falling due to slipping if you fail on a DC 10 DEX Saving throw. This save has to be made for every movement during combat. A fail on the saving throw means you become prone and restrained by the webs as your body (not hands or feet) land on a strand of web. Removing the restrained condition requires an action from yourself or an ally, and standing takes half your movement as usual.
Beegred carefully rushes forward to assist Skameros. DEX save vs. DC 10: 8
With the extra burst of speed for the first round of combat, he goes to N9. If he is able to kill the Hand at O8, he will move to O8 to be able to use his remaining attacks on the other Hands.
While he would prefer to use the sword, it would be easier to use the +1 dagger to target these monster hands that are near the bugbear. Dagger drawn, Beegred makes 3 attacks (the last is Dread Ambusher for the first round of combat).

By all appearances, it looks like Beegred rushes up to Skameros and stabs him three times. However, when he pulls the dagger away the third time, a small severed unmoving hand is impaled on the blade. The gnoll yips and growls in an unknown language at Beegred with an air of contempt.
(Before anyone says anything, these Crawling Hands had their HP increased by an order of magnitude when this encounter was designed by me. I anticipated the encounter correctly, as Beegred would otherwise have killed all 3 in one round.)
(Rodolfo's turn. Then Orubis)
(Reminder: at the top of the round, there's a 25% chance spiders show up.)
Rodolfo scampers across webs, nearly falling off as a foot slips out from underneath, but manages to get to where he wants to go. With an angle on the gnoll, Rodolfo extends his hands as he casts a beam of cold.
The gnoll sees this and swats the beam aside in a dazzling display of un-gnoll-like speed. (this is flavor. You missed his AC)
(Orubis's turn. Only difference on the map is Rodolfo is now at N14)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The demeanor of the gnoll was calm if not even amused at the antics of the party, until Orubis casts guiding bolt, threatening it with radiant fire. The gnoll becomes noticeably alarmed and makes a visible and impossibly fast dodge, causing the bolt to miss. (Flavor. The attacked missed vs. AC)
The gnoll no longer seems amused and stares at Orubis with loathing.
(On a 25 or less, Spiders join the combat as 3rd party combatants: 86)
EDIT: Skameros's turn. In case I trigger a manipulated warning, the roll was a 30 something.
Distracted by Orubis, the gnoll gets hit by two of Skameros's massive blows. As solid as the hits are, the axe just doesn't seem to sink in as far as it should.
One of the crawling claws jumps out of Skameros's fur and onto Beegred's face, where it tries to dig in its claws. The other hand on Skameros also climbs up to the face and tries to dig claws in:
vs Skameros: Attack: 7 Damage: 4
vs Beegred: Attack: 5 Damage: 5
Some of the gnoll's gash wounds made by Skameros's axe can be seen to knit up on their own.
The gnoll appears to practically float as it moves, circles around Skameros to get within 30 feet of Orubis. Then it releases a Sickening Gaze at Orubis.
DC 15 CON Saving Throw: 6
On a fail, Orubis has the poisoned condition for the next 24 hours.

(Thurnir's turn. Beegred, Rodolfo and Orubis on deck)
Thurnir casts hunters mark on the gnoll, and shoots it with his crossbow twice.

Thurnir attacks with his crossbow again and manages to hit once. The bolt is easily plucked out by the gnoll, not penetrating as deep as it should.
(Hunter's Mark doesn't do radiant damage, unless there is some feature you have that does this.)
(Beegred's turn. Then Rodolfo and Orubis)
(away for the next couple of days, posting early)
Rodolfo releases three magic missiles at the hand that just jumped at Beegred, doing 9 force damage.
