"You're in the back of a wagon. You were tied up, as was I and the lady next to you. The others happened to come by and rescued us. You're safe now-- well we will be, we are about to head out of these wretched woods", Dartis takes off his small leather coat and places it on the freezing human, if he accepts it. "My name is Dartis, and the others are...... OOC: Dartis introduces the names of the others that he has learned already... "
The mule starts abruptly, yet slowly, back into the forest. It navigates the wagon in between the less dense areas and progresses forward with ease. The mule makes its way back to a path after a few minutes. It's as if he knows the way as part of a routine. The cold fog clogs visibility, but the rain has now lifted.
Black pools of water stands like dark mirrors in and around the muddy roadway. Giant trees loom on both sides of the road, their branches clawing at the mist. Braying feebly, the mule trudges forward. It appears he has a destination in mind. Would anyone like to take any actions before he goes too far?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Euron will go a step ahead and keep an eye on the surroundings and stay alert for undeads and other threats.
Perception: 22
He's also trying to orient himself to keep the wagon out the right way.

I have Forest as favored terrain.
Your proficiency bonus is doubled for proficient skills when you make an INT or WIS check related to it. While traveling for an hour or more in your chosen terrain, difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel, your group can’t become lost except by magical means, you remain alert to danger even when you are engaged in another activity, you can move stealthily at a normal pace (while alone), you find twice as much food while foraging, and while tracking creatures, you learn the exact number, sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.

Johnny sits up and waves the proffered garment away, realizing he's no longer freezing to death as the wagon begins to move.
"I appreciate the thought," he says to Dartis the Halfling, "but I'm alright now. Insofar as one can be in a strange wagon going who-knows-where in the company of strangers."
He peers around, and maintains his position sitting on the floor of the wagon.
Gazing backwards and forwards, all you can see is thick fog and ancient trees surrounding. Being familiar with the woods helps get your bearing, despite having a visibility range of about 45ft. The trees are growing moss on the opposite direction you're going, so the bearing is currently North. That direction goes deeper into the forest and away from where you once entered.
Looking at the mist for quite some time leads to some disturbing details. The way in which the mist flows and pulls apparate ghoulish forms in the mist. They claw towards the clearing at all sides, screaming soundlessly, but they seem to be struggling and unable to exit their misty shackles. The mule doesn't seem spooked though, and you've heard animals nearby but a moment ago. The road itself is without general tracks due to ill-repair and pocketed with puddles, but it doesn't seem to be any recent activity.
Euron's shivers inside and yet he also seems to be a little curious. That's wrong... something's wrong, i need to get this people out and find the source afterwards he thinks.
He says loudly, "We should hurry and get you out of here we are on a good we're still on the right track. There's something in the fog...or it's the fog itself. It's not natural. It's like it wants to grab us. "

Put your spoiler here.Feeling for the weave reveals a magical nature, but you're entirely unable to read which school of magic nor purpose. It's a bit spooky though.
The wagon goes down the old road, hitting potholes and other uneven ground, but it seems sturdy enough. Without any direction, the mule proceeds without evident need of direction. After some time, the fog sounds out away. Ahead, jutting from the impenetrable fog, are high stone buttresses.
Huge iron gates hang on the stonework, rusted an ancient. Two headless statues of armed guardians flank the gate, their heads now lying among the weeds at their feet. As the wagon approaches, the gates slowly swing open with an eerie squeal. Without stopping, the mule proceeds through the gates as they close behind. This side of the gates is lined with towering trees which are lost in the heavy gray mist.
The mule continues onward. The scent of death proceeds a body that lies dead center in the middle of the road.
Is anyone driving the mule? If not, and if it's stopped raining, Rumble will climb up on top of the wagon and sit where the driver would. Once he sees the body, he'll pull the reins and pull up the mule short of the body.
The mule has been progressing along it's route on its own accord. With the reins bring pulled, it immediately stops and cowers in fear of you. It's clearly been advised by the welts and cuts on the mule's hide.
Rumble knocks on the carriage behind him as to indicate the others should come and look.
Rumble will keep an eye out for possible ambush. This situation reminds him of another story he heard in a tavern once, involving one Gundren Rockseeker ;)
Rumble, looking at the surrounds doesn't reveal any sense of potential combatants nor danger, and there were some birds cawing in the distance recently.
Allen, the gates and statues are unfamiliar. They look time worn and weathered as such.
A loud knock can be heard from outside the wagon as Graeme slowly approaches the downed man. The death stench is strong when you approach. He's a man of black hair who looks rather ordinary. Dressed in ancient and tattered clothes, he appears to be a commoner. The clothing is ripped apart with claw marks, covered in mud and blood.
It appears he's been dead for several days, his arm outstretched straight up with a leather-bound envelope. Opening it up reads.
Euron seems to be completely perplexed. "That...This shouldn't be here...we ran in the right direction. I came from here! There was no Gate here. And nowhere in the Lurkwood should there be such a gate!" He looks at the statues and the gate. "That looks very old!" A mixture of awe and curiosity can be heard in his voice.
When Euron notices Graeme going to the corpse he pulls his sword and stands next to him. He swings out and separates the head of the corpse from the torso. "You should be careful when approaching a corpse, you can't know if it won't stand up and attack you." The way he says it sounds instructive but not offensive. As if a master wants to teach his student "What have you found?"
“He’s dead.” Graeme says watching the head roll away from the body. Holding the note aloft, Graeme continues.
”This says there’s a lot a‘ loot in this villiage... oh, and a vampire, if you can imagine. Seems like this things been killing off people here for hundreds a years.”
