Hox shakes his head, "No good...pick is broken. Hox go look for traps in hall." He scampers away from the door so Gruun can do his smashing, while he checks the rest of the hall. He'll look for traps carefully before just running down it.
"A quiet entrance does not seem to be an option for us..." complains Therien. "I suppose we can ignore this hidden door for now, do some further exploration of these tunnels, and return here later."
The door remains locked and Therien is unable to open it, but he can see that the frost gathering on the lock mechanism does seem to have had an effect. Enough cold gathered on the door's lock and hinges may cause it to weaken enough to snap open.
Each ray of frost hits its target, and the weight of the door proves to be too great for its now-brittle hinges and lock. With loud cracking sounds, the hinges and the lock snap and the door falls forward to the ground.
The opening reveals the same room you entered through, with piles of fist-sized diamonds covering the massive cavern. It is very clearly the same room, as you can see the wooden doors that Gruun smashed along the same wall. Curiously, however, the walls of the room have some additions.
The west wall is now lined with bookshelves. To your left, a beautiful mosaic is centered along the north wall, depicting an angelic woman looking down at two humans from the sky.
Tracking: There are four openings in the north wall - one leads to a passage, two lead to a separate passage that you entered and re-entered this room from, and the fourth is the door you originally entered the room through. There is an iron door along the east wall, which leads to a cave-in. There is a stone door along the south wall, which is locked. There are bookshelves along the west wall that were not here the first time you entered. There is a mosaic along the north wall that was not here the first time you entered. This massive room is filled with piles and piles of fist-sized diamonds.
Therien deduces that the mosaic depicts a goddess of love, but does not recall a name of which goddess it represents. He also sees that cleverly hidden among a number of rocks drawn on the mosaic is the painted knob of a door hidden within the mosaic. The books appear to all be histories and lineages of Ascore.
Gruun does not see any skeletons that seem out of place from the last time that he viewed the bones beneath the massive pile of diamonds.
"Yes yes, many treasures are cursed, but the real treasure tends to lie behind that which is curse, else why go through the trouble of cursing it, hmm?" Bartle ruminates.
OOC: Correct, Therien sees an actual door concealed within the mosaic.

Therien takes hold of this newly-discovered wooden door and attempts to open it.
Therien discovers that this wooden door, like the others, is locked firmly in place.

"Your lock pick is broken, right, Hox?" asks Therien, who then steps aside and looks at Gruun. "A few more swings of the axe maybe?"
"I would rather have a quiet entrance if possible. I have a spare dagger if it's any use Hox. If not my Axe will do"
Hox shrugs, "Hox can try, though pick might break."
Lockpick: 13
Hox struggles against the mechanism, not sure if he'd even be able to pick it with a fully intact set of tools, and the door remains locked.

Hox haphazardly runs down the length of the hall, but doesn't set off any traps in doing so. The hall turns to the north, but ends in another cave-in.

"I'm curious..." says Therien under his breath. "What would this do to an old lock?"
The elf then utters a few words, makes a few simple motions with his left hand, and casts Ray of Frost, aiming for the door's lock mechanism.
Therien then takes hold of the door handle and tries to open the door.

"Not entirely useless it seems," remarks the elf. Therien then targets the lock a second time...
After which he applies the same spell to each of the hinges...
"Let's see if that moves us any closer to our goal.."

Therien narrows his gaze at the mosaic, wondering if it contains any significance to their current situation...
He then makes his way carefully to the shelves containing the books. "What purpose might these serve?" he wonders aloud.
(If Nature or Religion is a more appropriate skill for either of the above, then subtract 2 from the corresponding roll)

"Bartle, do the legends mention anything about cursed treasures?"
(Therien sees an actual door, not just an artistic representation of one, in the mosaic?)
