Erok: Though the tombs are designed to get you lost, you keep the group headed steadily Southward through the maze.
A door finally opens into a wide chamber (50 ft x 60 ft). The ceiling of this room is only 10 feet high, and it’s supported by square columns spaced every 10 feet. The ever-present glyphs flow into this room from the necropolis behind you. Beneath these symbols, carvings of Anu-Akma leer angrily at you from every bit of wall space. Piles of sand cover the stone floor to a depth of several inches in all parts of the room.
There is another doorway on the opposite side of the room .

“Stay alert, everyone. This looks like a good place for a trap,” Erok warns the others. He is especially intrigued by the carvings of Anu-Akma and moves carefully towards those to investigate.
Erok: You carefully examine the carvings closest to the door, and the craftsmanship is masterful. Anu-Akma is normally depicted as a neutral deity, guiding the dead to the afterlife with serenity. He is rarely depicted expressing any kind of emotion and there is a wrongness to his hateful snarling expression here.
You almost miss it, but worked into the carving closest to the door is a small latch that looks like it opens up a secret panel in the wall.

( XD Your rolls have been TERRIBLE - I think all of Cora's luck has gone to her love life and there's none left for dice- but HEY investigation is the skill you needed and that was the good roll! )
Cora: You investigate the latch and it does not seem to be trapped in any way.
Erok’s eyes widen at Cora’s outburst. He carefully moves in front of her and says softly, “I will open it.” He gently opens the latch, wincing as he does so.
Erok: You brace yourself, but nothing happens as you tug the latch and open the panel. Behind the panel you can see switches connected to some surprisingly complex machinery. It's not immediately apparent what the switches control.

Erok looks at the switches and then turns to Cora with a confused look in his face. “Machinery is not my forte, perhaps someone else should take a look?”
Cora: You try to find what the switches behind the panel might control. Looking around the room, not leaving your position near the door or touching anything, you notice that there are grooves along some of the pillars. Looking up from there, you can see openings in the ceiling where something could drop down. You also see strange 10ft x 10ft patterns in parts of the ceiling.

I slowly move away from under those 10ft x 10ft patterns and recommend we DO NOT mess with this machinery. I have the feeling something might drop down on us. Like, a trap.
"This machinery might trigger a trap from above. Look. The patterns in the ceiling." She points. "Be careful."
Erok looks where Cora is pointing and nods in agreement. “Perhaps we should just move on.” The dragonborn moves carefully through the room, heading for the doorway beyond.

Lilyth doesn't protest to Cora's lead, keeping her eyes wide open to make sure there was nothing ready to pounce at them.

Erok motions to Cora. “There’s some sort of latch here. Can you tell if it’s trapped?” He will step back, pointing out the hidden latch he found.
"Sure." she said, watching her step. "Let's take a look."

"Yes." I slowly turn to Erok. "My investigatory skills have resulting in discovering..I CAN'T DO ANYTING!" she screams in frustration at the end.
