Respar and Kiven each eliminate a sailor. Odenkirk moves out onto the gangplank and splits the skull of the man who'd dived into the water to extinguish himself. The captain is hit by Eya's bolt, he is badly wounded at this point. But not hurt enough to prevent him from charging at Respar and dealing him a harsh blow.
Respar cries out in agony as his opponent drives his weapon deep into the rogue's thigh, far too close to his vitals. Knowing he needs to end this quickly, he says, "You and your men fought well. I'm sorry it has to end like this for you." His rapier lashes out...
The man before Jesla throws down his weapon, and cries out, "Mercy! Mercy! I surrender!"
Captain sambryl weathers the blow from Respar, and then an arrow from Kevin, and lashes out in kind, striking hard at the rogue and cutting him down. The warrior's victory is short lived however, as an inch thick javelin from Grumblejack passes through his stomach and pins him to the deck. The captain's sword drops from nerveless fingers.
Meanwhile, the fire starts to lick its way up the mast. If not dealt with soon, it will soon be nearly impossible to control.
Respar is struck twice for 12 damage and is now at -2 hp
Seeing the fight wind down to it's conclusion, Martha moves out from behind the cargo as she slings her crossbow behind her back. She sees Jesla about to rip apart the man begging for his life, then yells out to her, "Wait! Don't kill him. He may be useful to us yet. Just tie him up if you could please while I deal with this fire."
Wearing a cold, neutral-yet-strangely-intimidating expression as she looks towards Odenkirk and his crew, Martha elegantly steps forward towards the center of the ship. Then, she begins making mystic symbols with her hands as she mutters an incantation in a strange language, "Ayun'ma theroon." Suddenly, small whirlpools of water form around both sides of the bridge between the ships as a dark grey storm cloud forms over the fire.
A sudden downpour erupts from the cloud.
Once the flames are mostly extinguished, Martha makes her way over and pulls out a wand from her bag. She kneels beside Respar and pokes him in the side with the wand, "Yeah, yeah, get up already." After a few seconds, Respar wakes up to the familiar comfort of infernal, blood-boiling healing.
Using repeated casting of Drench, however much it takes, to put out the fire to a reasonable degree and give us enough time to get Respar and the prisoner off the boat. Infernal Healing on Respar so marking another wand charge off. Since he is at -2 HP, it will take like 18 seconds before he becomes conscious again.
As the man is pleadimg for his life, Jesla hears Eya askimg her to spare him. She barely manages to control herself and changes back into her normal form, the undisguised one. Pulling out her dagger and rope, she laughs. " You came so close to dying. Dont make me angry or you will regret it. " She takes out some rope and binds his hands behind his back. After doing so she walks him over to their own ship.
Glancing down at Eya kneeling by Respar she says, " Will he be ok? Anything that i can do to help?"
As Respar comes to consciousness, he squirms and sits upright quickly. "Damn it! By the gods that's painful!" As the agony finally lessens, he looks up at Eya, Jesla and Kiven. "I guess if I want to avoid such pain I should stop running into fray, huh?"
Jesla shakes her and hides a smile. " You are like the berserkers of my people, rushing in without thinking first. You are brave...but foolish. Maybe this will be a lesson for you "

Respar is about to reply to Jesla's remark when Eya uses the wand once more, so initially all that comes out is grunts of pain and cursing. He finally is able to get his breath back enough to speak. After a few deep breaths he looks to Eya and through gritted teeth says, "Thank you." He turns to Jesla and with a slightly self-mocking tone says, "Well, aside from completing or mission, impressing the ladies is always high on my list of objectives." The tone makes clear he appreciates all her words.
After surveying the scene he slowly gets to his feet. "I'd recommend that after we search the bodies and ship, we let Grumblejack eat one or two, then weigh the rest down...ballast weights maybe...and dump them. The ones that already floated away we can hope the local denizens will eat them. Then we do our best to scuttle this thing. I don't think we have enough crew for two ships anymore. If we do, keep it. But otherwise hopefully all anyone finds is maybe some bits of flotsam and jetsam with charring, so they figure the ship burned with all hands lost." The rogue then helps search the bodies and the ship.

Noticing one Mitran alive in the water after a few moments of observing the scene, Kiven moves smoothly to the nearest edge of the ship and nocks an arrow. He takes aim and unleashes a single arrow at the swimmer.
The prisoner is soon secured, and the fire is temporarily tamped down.
The last sailor not bound or already dead is swimming off to the west, using a method of swimming intended to conserve energy for a long haul. Kiven's arrow finds the man's leg. The sailor flounders for a time, then keeps swimming, but the projectile is already clearly messing with his rhythm, and will no doubt get worse as he continues to exert himself.
Odenkirk kneels besides his man that Captain Sambryl cut down, he calls out, "He's still alive, we could use some of that unholy magic of yours over here."
Respar whispers to Eya, "Save the sailor. When things turn, he may hesitate, or even be willing to join us. But keeping what crew is left on our side is critical. We're very short-handed now." He then proceeds to search the body of Sambryl, and look around for anything else of value on the ship.

Eya rolls her eyes and walks over to Odenkirk and the sailor. She glares a cold, soul-cutting glare towards the captain, then stares down unsympathetically at the injured sailor. She squats down and places the tip of the wand to the man's forehead and mutters an Infernal phrase.
Without acknowledging or tending to the sailor at all, she immediately gets up and walks over to the new prisoner. She glares at him too for a moment, then demands, "Everything you know about Balentyne Keep. Now. Or I will feed you to my ogre alive."
Jesla walks a little unsteadily for a moment after she drops the prisoner by Eya. She walks to the rail and takes a few deep breaths as she tries to recuperate from the stress of the change. Sauntering over to the others she unsheathes her great sword. " I want to chop his limbs off first. It will be easier for Grumbles to digest him. Besides, it will be fun. i hate these bastards. "
