Kiven curses when their foe bursts through his web and decides to try to cut her off going north, although he doesn't actually try to block her path. He only hopes to find her and keep shooting. He starts running north (towards C8), slapping Hexor with his bow on the way and yelling "you could make yourself useful and catch her". Once he rounds the corner to the other side of C4 he listens and looks for footprints in the dirt.
The group rushes after the Lillend. Eya detonating a fireball among the webs. Blau rounds the corner and manages to pinpoint her location for a time as she keeps moving, within a few moments she is out of his range to sense, but he has a decent fix on her trajectory.
Meanwhile, Hexor says slowly in response to Kiven, sounding confused, "Are you saying you don't have this in hand?"
Last known position on the map is designated as LK, she headed north from there and didn't have much movement left at that point. I assumed that respar would hang back out of the firey webs a bit given his state. Blau and Brax take 6 and 8 fire damage respectively (before applicable resistances)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Blau attempts a last, desperate shot at the foe, who is sure to return in force. Praying for aid from Asmodeus, he looses the bolt at where he thinks she's heading.
Roll to get it right 1 2 is a success.
Crossbow shot Attack: 24 Damage: 3 plus Unholy 2

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
His frills flare in irritation. " Tiamat's claws," he curses. Realizing that she is about to escape he whirls and races at full speed towards the cave entrance. " Come on Jack. We will take care of this the right way. " Once they reach the entrance he will have Jack stand in a way that they will block a path out.
Blau's shot veers off into darkness, and the last sounds Calliaste had been making fade away.
Abraxxus and Grumblejack move to guard the main entrance, but don't see anything.
All right, I'm going to end round by round combat here. You do still have a chance to catch her, but we'll handle it a bit more fluidly. Just give me your approach for trying to reestablish contact and we'll see how it goes.

Making his way to guard an exit (South C4 ) , Blau hesitates when he can't see her. Feet firmly planted on the ground, Blau listens intently to the fading echoes of the area, trying to hear the creature's wings or see any suddenly appearing blood droplets that reveal her location, using his ability to feel through the stone to help locate her. Perception 27
Option 1 : He locates her in the same room :
Further than 5' - Feeling her slithering body caress the rough floor, Blau lifts his crossbow and shoots at her, yelling out her exact location to the others. Attack: 16 Damage: 3 + Unholy 1
Within melee range - Sensing her right near him, Blau infuses his body with shimmering acid droplets and attacks with feet and fists, pummeling her invisible form with flaming blows! Attack #1: 11 Damage: 10, Flaming 2 and +2 Acid. , Attack #2: 20 Damage: 10, Flaming 5 and +2 Acid.
OOC - if any used attack rolls a nat 1, reroll base attack :17
Option 2: He senses her around the corner or out of sight:
Feeling the distinct vibrations of her movements, Blau calls out loudly, revealing her location as precise as he can to the others. He then runs in that direction, trying to get close enough to attack. (Moves to second position near LK)
Option 3: He doesn't sense her at all :
Unable to detect her presence, Blau turns to the nearest wounded party member and calls on the last bit of granted magic to heal them, saying loudly "She's not anywhere I can sense, keep searching!" Cure Light Wounds (probably on Eya) 11

Respar decides the only thing he can do is head for the exit and stand right in the middle of it. If the large creature tries to get by him, hopefully he'll feel or hear it and have one last chance to attack it.
Kiven gives up his pursuit, preferring to stay safe with others rather than run into her alone in the dark. Replying to Hexor, he chides "no, you fool." "She's wounded but invisible and getting away, likely back into the caves or up into the tower. Destroy her!"
Everything is quiet by the front cavern as much of the group gathers there. When Grumblejack stops resisting him, Vexor pushes on past and then starts wandering around in a haze, apparently uncertain what to do.
Elsewhere, Hexor stands up, shaking his head, his already threatening face visibly angry. He growls out, "I'm going to wring her neck." He vanishes as he teleports away somewhere.
You can hear a commotion of some sort deeper in the caverns, it sounds like the Boggard shaman, Zikomo, is yelling about something.
Shaking his head, Blau commands Vexxor "search for her and finish her off, you fool! She's clouded your mind!"

Kiven moves towards Zikomo's temple. The shaman is gibbering something about interlopers. He points up the stairs towards the upper floors.
Most of the group remains guarding the front entrance and only Kiven and Hexor hunt for Calliaste. Some time passes with no further word. Eventually Snowball shows up, reporting that he saw her fly out from the third floor balcony.
Some investigation shows that she hasn't messed with anything. From the looks of it she just followed the main passages until she reached open air.
Vexor remains charmed by her, fortunately he'd already completed the one order she gave him. It will likely wear off in a few hours on its own. The effect could likely be dispelled, or he might be shocked out of it early with the right orders.

During the search for the invisible foe, Blau uses the remaining fragment of granted magic he has to patch further, healing the wounds remaining. "Now we have to shut the doors she knows about. How soon can we get some stoneworkers in here to build barriers against her inevitable return?"

Abraxxus curses in fury. He turns upon Vexor. " We had her if it wasn't for you, fool. Now she can recover and find more reinforcements to attack us. " He punches the wall and chunks of stone fall.
Seeking out Hexor and Vexor, possibly with Blau along if he'd like, Kiven demands an explanation for how they plan to be useful if they are so easily manipulated and furthermore cannot hunt their enemies down once they are inside the horn as well.
Hexor shrugs, "Can't do much about the one thing given our bindings. The guy who made the plates made sure we were more susceptible than normal to such magics. He wanted plenty of ways to keep control. Understandable I suppose, but prone to backfiring, especially when a master of enchantments like her comes around. Fix the plates if you can, or just let us make use of that warding magic you guys were using."
Vexor continues, "As for the other bit, I suggest restoring the eye of vigilance. Enemies won't be able to hide from us then."
Hexor replies, "The eyes of Vetra Kali you have recovered are more than mere gemstones, they are known as the Eye of Vigilance, the Withering Eye, and the Eye of Hatred."
Vexor Continues, "Bathe them in a little blood and they will awaken, unite them in the shrine at the peak and they will serve their greatest functions."
Hexor states, "The Eye of Vigilance will allow you to spy on anything within the confines of the Horn at a whim, The withering eye baths the horn in a lovely aura that bolsters undead and daemons like ourselves, and the eye of hatred reacts when divine magic belonging to that meddler Mitra or any of his allies is used near the horn and pinpoints exactly where it is being used."

Kiven returns to the entry chamber of the caverns to find the others and smugly gives thanks to all of those who did not at all help in defeating her.
