Velon grins as Silas intervenes to help Lia but then gets annoyed as more cultists attack from afar forcing him to use shielding magic. He spins around with his shield to protect him and pulls out a (superior) health potion to quickly heal for 24. As he comes back around again he is also swirling with gold arcane energy as he quickens another large fireball behind the Marilith again to hurt it and the two cultists in the area. A large spectral gold dragon head appears above the three creatures just for a second and breaths flame down upon them.

Cratol is happy to see yet another demon go down and then sees a cultist trying to escape (using his passive perception of 18 to see the cultist running away). And tells the others that he will stop the cultist from escaping. He will move at his full speed using another Ki point to enhance his speed to stop the cultist from escaping.
Poljen's pride wants him to go after the balor, but he see it is engaged with Silas, and now Velon and Lia and Lawrance only now have a few cultists, and the strange snake-lady to deal with. He feels confident they can deal with those threats and focus on the balor, so he turns to the remaining hezrou. Once again he slides around it, so it is directly between himself and Mari. He grins at the rogue. "Let us finish this fiend!"
OOC: Move for flank so he can gain Advantage without Reckless, but as usual, will go Reckless if need be.
Mari nods at Poljen. " Good idea. Sick of these creatures. " Blood is dripping from her many cuts. Her blades are a blur once again as the dextrous rogue strikes.
Lia shakes her head to regain her senses. She moves a short distance to get within rangw of Silas and summons healing energy. Brilliant white light arcs out and heals her friends nearby.
OOC: Mari uses her bonus acrion to strike with her offhand weapon.

Lia moves 3 squares across the map to be able to range Silas. Lawrance, Poljen, Mari , Cratol and Silas gain 31 hitpoints each. Lia gains 7 hit points due to blessed healer domain feature.
Cratol dashes off to the fleeing cultists and brings him down with a quick series of blows. Mari and Poljen together strike at the last remaining Hezrou, but it stays on its feet for now and continues to strike at Mari
Lia meanwhile casts her spell to heal the wounds of her companions, and Velon throws off another fireball, hurting the Marilith and killing one of the remaining cultists. The other fires an arrow back at Velon, but misses badly. Lawrence meanwhile rides around where the Balor and the dragon are still tussling, and attempts to end the spell summoning the serpentine demon. With a pop of air, the Marilith vanishes.
Lawrance, smiling at the effectiveness of his Dispel, rides on. Thinking to the group #I have a different spell to focus on, I think. Stay clear when it comes and I'll see if we can't do some damage to these demons! Gamliel, help Silas land his blows!#, he then drops the Radiance spell and summons a familiar sphere of whirling wind. The Storm Sphere, placed to envelop the Balor alone and the space behind it, deafens normal conversation as it brings a piece of the elemental planes into the Realms.
Storm Sphere STR DC 19 at AL3 20' radius. Lawrance rides to Z14 and summons a lightning bolt into the Balor. Attack: 23 Damage: 16

Velon is about to finally face off with the Marilith when it suddenly disappears while Lawrance rides by. "Hey, that was mine!" The paladin smiles however and admits "nice move, Wizard."
Staring down the last cultist that's pestering him, Velon calls upon Bahamut to enchant his weapon to help him finish this battle. He then swiftly casts his Haste and is quickly upon the cultist, hoping to take him out with one swift blow. With his magically enhanced speed Velon then starts to move back to help Silas.

Lia sighs in relief as the creature hurting Velon vanishes. She moves with Velon staying close enough to protect him while targeting fhe Balor. Whispering in Elvish she makes the Balor her sworn enemy. Taking quick aim she releases an arrow wreathed in lighr directly towards the evil creature.
Mari uses bonus action for her extra attack. She gets sneak attack and advantage due to flanking. Lia uses the oathbow's special ability to name the Balor as her sworn enemy.

Poljen grins at the lovely rogue. "Be my guest, Mari!" And he continues to inflict damage where and when he can.
OOC: Once again moving to give Mari and himself flanking advantage, 15 feet to AC-6. That leaves him 25 feet of leftover movement if the creature drops, plus another 40 for Bonus Dash. Heading for AK-4 to flank for Silas. Of course if the hezrou remains on its feet, he will stay with it. And if Mari drops it, or if his first attack finishes it, any leftover attacks go for the balor.
Cratol will move towards the Balor but stays away from it at the same time (moving on a straight line from W,3 towards final spot of AE,5) He will shoot his crossbow a couple times at the Balor as he moves.

Between Mari and Poljen, the final Hezrou falls, long legs twitching.
Velon moves after the last cultist, who is frantically reloading his crossbow. He doesn't quite manage to get it up before Velon smacks him in the face with his hammer, leaving his features a bloody ruin.
Suddenly the Balor is the last enemy on the field. It doesn't look particularly intimidated, even as Lawrance zaps it with lightning and Silas rips into him. Lia strikes home with an oathbow shot as well.
The demon responds by lashing out at Silas once again with its longsword, and snaking its whip towards Lia. The fiery tendrils wrap around her waist and threaten to drag her in close.
Lia takes 26 damage, and must pass a DC 20 strength check or get dragged over to the Balor. If this occurs she'll take an additional 3d6 fire damage at the start of her turn from the fire aura.
For some reason the map is not responding to my attempts to edit, so its not accurate at this point.

After the hezrou dying, Poljen grins at Mari. "Time to help our benefactor! Cover us!" He dashes towards the balor, and immediately feels the intense heat begin to cause him damage. He grits his teeth and does his best to ignore it, and starts laying into the creature. "If you leave now, foul spawn of the Abyss, this will cause you much less pain. But if you enjoy the bite of my axe...open wide!"
OOC: I know Poljen will be taking damage each round, and with each melee attack. But since he is flanking with Silas, hopefully this will help out a bit.
Mari laughs as they race off. She sheathes her short swords and unslings her bow. Nocking an arrow she smiles in anticipation as she lines up her shot.
Lia smiles in satisfaction as her arrow sinks home. The smile is wiped off quickly as she is caught in the grasp of the fiery whip. Her eyes widen in fear as she is pulled into the Balor. She screams in agony as her armor catches on fire. Lia feels as if she is being cooked alive. Desperately she summons healing from her goddess. The cooling effect from the healing eases her pain slightly but she is still in agony. She moves quickly away to get some distance.
OOC: Mari uses up her action and bonus action to change weapons out. She moves up enough to be within normal short bow range .
Lia casts cure wounds level 2 on herself for 19 hitpoints restored. She failed her strength saving throw so takes the 3d6 damage. She will move '35 away from the Balor and behind Poljen and Mari.

Cratol, Mari, and Lawrance each step up to fire at the Balor. While Mari is still stringing her bow, Lawrance and Cratol open fire, but they have little success, save for with the lightning bolt from his ongoing storm spell.
Poljen and Velon meanwhile close in for melee strikes, each hammering at the tough creature before them, and each suffering burns as a result. The paladin in particular deals very harsh blows to the creature. Lia heals herself and blindly runs away from the flame covered demon. It swings its sword her way as she does, grazing her back and shocking her with lightning.
The Balor strikes out with its sword at Poljen, hitting home with steel and lightning. It flaps its horrid wings and takes to the air, as it does so, it lashes its whip out around Velon, the fiery tendrils coiling around the paladin and threatening to yank him off of his feet. It flies over to where Mari, Cratol, and Lia stand, laughing as it seeks out what it considers the easier prey.
Lia takes a total of 34 damage from the AOO. Poljen takes 21 fire damage as backlash, Velon 29. Poljen also takes 18 slashing damage, and another 9 lightning. Velon is hit with the whip for 17 slashing damage and another 7 fire. In addition, Velon needs to make a DC 20 strength check or be yanked into the air and forward. This would result in 1d6 falling damage, and landing at AL4, inside of Lawrence's storm sphere, suffering the consequences from that spell.
The fire damage came first, so I think its safe to say Velon would activate the absorb elements rather than shield. That would reduce the incoming damage by quite a bit. Yes, all three smites landed home.
