Laucian watched as the pinhole appeared, a black claw and red fingers emerging from it before opening up the hole more and more for them. It was now wide enough that they can walk through it. He let the others go through the portal first, to be better safe than sorry on his part. Finally he is the last one to walk through the portal, ready for anything as he observes their surroundings.
One by one, you step through the portal and into the fiery depths of the earth.
Environment description: You emerge in a large cavern dotted with pools of lava. The ceiling of this cavern is 60ft high and the room is brightly illuminated by the pools of molten rock. On the opposite side of the cavern is a passage continuing to slope downward.
It is immediately apparent that you are not alone.
Standing near the center of the cavern, waiting for your arrival, are eight angels (40ft away). Seven of them are the size of normal humanoids, carrying maces drawn in one hand; but the last one standing front and center is a large being glowing with radiant power. It holds a greatsword in one hand and a massive longbow slung over one shoulder
(Those of you with a high Passive Perception look around the chamber and are very confident there is no one else present)
The great angel speaks in a voice that rings in your minds like a huge bell being struck.
“You who come forth for power in the name of darkness; I will only warn you once. Repent and turn back now, or face your death.”
Gilra drops out of the bat form and shivers for a moment (using Symbiotic Entity as an action to gain 80 temp HP). "Oh, I've forgotten what excitement is! This is refreshing!"
But she's not acting yet, waiting for some of the more armored companions to start the fray.
Ah, Barosh started already!
Gilra will cast Chill Touch on one of the smaller ones. Attack: 16 Damage: 15 (and if it hits, he won't be able to gain hitpoints until the start of my next turn).
Valrakas will conjure up a fireball in his hands. The flame growing larger and larger, building into a deep orange glow of magical fire. He approaches the Angels, unfazed from the threat of death. "My ancestors used to be like you at one point. Up until the time we broke free of the chains and made our own destiny. I suggest you let us pass and be on our way." Valrakas starts to form demon wings from his back. As they form, they spread wide and move slightly.
He then lets out an unnatural aura of pure chaos (Using an action for dread lord)
Once per long rest, as an action, you can surround yourself with a 30-ft. aura of gloom for 1 minute, reducing any bright light in the aura to dim light. Whenever an enemy that is frightened by you starts its turn in the aura, it takes 4d10 psychic damage. Creatures that rely on sight have disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures within the aura.
Before wagging a finger at the main angel (Compelled Duel WIS Save, DC 19)
With his some of its companions not having any patience for parlay, Raze marches forward and interposes himself between the group and the sure to be approaching angels. Anything unable to see invisible creatures, notice that the form warforged shimmers with a flash of blue energy and then disappears. The monk awaits to engage when the smaller angels come within range.
Intitative: 18
Initative should be 17, added my prof bonus by mistake.
Empty Body
You can spend 4 ki points to become invisible and gain resistance to all damage but force damage for 1 minute as an action.
I'm sure the angels have truesight, but doing it for the resistance.

The Solar resists your spell, but you seem to have its attention anyway
(Because timing in PBP is weird and out of fairness if anyone else has something that takes an action that they want to do as the fireball is cast, they may.)

"You should not have come here to try to stop us," Ileanis says as he lets his invisibility fall and lays a curse on the great angel. He then draws in the darkness around himself, turning the light dimmed by Mankur's aura into complete darkness for 10 feet in every direction around himself. The man himself is completely obscured by the shadows at the center.
(Hexblade's curse on the great angel as a bonus action and Shadow of Moil as action while Barosh casts his fireball)
(I generally use theater of the mind - I make a lot of my posts from my work computer so uploading pictures isn't always possible- I CAN post a map of the cavern in general when I get home today if you all would like a visual)
(Yah, seems like a nice little combo. Not sure how much the actual darkness will matter. I imagine at level 20 just about everything we fight will have darkvision/blindsight/tremorsense to be able to see anyway. On the other hand, I get to be heavily obscured by Shadow of Moil anyway, and against anything with just darkvision I'm also invisible to them while in darkness, so there's that)

(No, you have darkvision. Unlike the Darkness spell, Shadow of Moil doesn't say creatures with darkvision can't see through it. I just have the gloom stalker feature that makes me invisible to creatures that rely on darkvision to see while I'm in darkness. And Shadow of Moil makes me heavily obscured regardless of vision)

"Fear not, my friends, for I have already repented."
He then uses subtle spell to cast fireball centered on the lead angel without giving any notice.
