Sim relays the contents of the discussion to the rest of the party and his Summary of what he thinks has happened. "The Leader of this group of goblins was clearly afraid of the one who is "unifying" the tribes. Says the unifier is Magic. Also he said the silver apple is "lost" in the locked temple and there is a beast in the temple, a Beast Big, smart beast of wings and spines. Sounds like a Dragon to me. I am beginning to think we should find a way in on our own and not go back to Mother Orta. She definitely left out the info about a beast and claimed the tribekilled her sister. But Shephard made it clear that it was a joint effort to beat the great evil and lock it away between Yeth, The Tribe and The Mayor and Shephard's Grandfather. I think the dragon either was controlled by Lady Orta, her sister or maybe is her sister. Also there is a cave that leads in but it is blocked by rubble according to the goblin"
Thoughts? I vote for heading toward the tribe to learn more.
Abigail rejoins the group after the goblins head off. "Well, that appears to have ended well."
After hearing Sim, Abigail comments, "Well, no matter how we wish to get into the temple, it sounds like we will need to go through this tribe anyway. Seems trying to get to them should be our next step."

The team continues along the ice path, before heading back to climbing, crawling and moving along the path. The rest of the day is mostly uneventful. A sharp wind howling towards the end of the day. You're unable to find a proper spot that'll fit everyone; some kind of cave or overhand. A few clouds hang overhead, threatening rain. Still, you manage to find a spot that seems to keep good sight lines and gives some break in the wind.

Water: 4 x2: 2
Food: 6 x2: 10
Finding food was rather easy today, having a bountiful amount. However, as a great, it seems that water has been the issue today. Only having enough to refill two people's water-skins. Tomorrow would be a rather difficult day, assuming you don't find more.
You believe to be a few hours away from the Hn'ti settlement. It's visible from where you all are; the fires they have set up marking where they are. Best guess, there's a singular path that leads up a cliff side. You could attempt to climb up as well, coming from another direction. But you are unable to tell if there are walls of defenses around the village. Just the twinkling lights of fire reflecting off what's most likely thawing ice.
During the first shift, while others are sleeping, those of you who are awake hear... something. The sound of beating wings and a large shadow in the sky. Its difficult to make out against the stars and the lights of the old world above. (INT / Nature Check to learn more)
In the middle part of the night, it begins to downpour. The rains coming down hard and fast. With Diadochi the only one who carried a tent up, most of you are caught in the rain. (Two are safe; remaining 3 make a DC 10 CON Save, or fail to have a long rest.) Luckily, the rain does make it so that you can recover (2) more water-skins.
But the sudden rainstorm passes after a few hours. And eventually, morning does come....
Lafetha and Yaalin have a nice night in the tent, while Diadochi and Abigail have a wet, but restful night. Sim doesn’t get much sleep, constantly getting just a bit too wet or woken up by turning and finding himself in a puddle. The creature that flew by in the night’s sky remains a mystery. The clouds making it hard to see it’s odd shape.
Still, you all rise the next morning. The winds a bit stronger today and the ground remaining wet from the storm during the night. Clouds hang in the sky, as you all assume it could be yet another intermittent rain-storm kind of day. After eating some breakfast and breaking down your camp, the group heads off once more. About a hour and a half into your journey, you begin to come across more and more waves of mountain reeds. A strong plant that can be split apart and woven into rope and linen. Matured mountain reed can even be eaten, when properly prepared. These batches are about five feet tall and dense. The patches of them seeming too well spaced out to be naturally occurring. About half a hour trek before you is a raised, plateau like crest of a mountain. The formation does not appear natural, but still it blends into the mountain on it’s own. A singular path can be slightly seen towards the base heading up to the top of the plateau. It at more of a slope than the rest; vertical climb that would be rather difficult based on the shimmering layer of ice that’s catching the morning sun.
You firmly believe that, at the top of the pleateau, is the Hn’ti village. From this distance, and angle, it’s slightly too difficult to scout any information. Especially still being about a half hour away.
'I feel we should send fewer people that our entire troop to make a first contact with this tribe, the Shepard had mentioned them being nervous around outsiders. Maybe Sim and Lafetha? Simply assuming that we,' gesturing at the more animalistic of or our group, ' may frighten them more. Maybe break it to them slowly what and how many we are.'
'however I would like a backup plan for the rest of us to go in if we don't hear from you after a certain time. Does that sound sounds reasonable?'
Sim agrees to be one of the first to approach feeling like he may be able to connect with the Hn'ti on a personal level with them being of the mountains. It is clear to him that the plants are planted intentionally and are being farmed by the tribe.
Diadochi sputters "utterly ridiculous, I feel once they see we're a diverse group of strangers they'll see how accepting we are. Loxodon are known for being friendly, Tortles are known for being gentle, Tabaxi... " Diadochi looks at Abigail "well it'll show how tolerant we are to have one around. Anyways I say we all go up there and give a full frontal assault diplomatically speaking."
"I'm fine with just Sim and I going, just as long as the group is near by in case something happens, but also I can see where Diadochi is coming from. It might not be such a good idea to have so many of us. They could become defensive very easily."
"I too think we should send the elf and human in first. Shepard seemed rather startled at seeing us - and he had no choice but to make friends or die. An extraction plan should be in place before we send them off though; I would hate to try to get back down this rock without Sim."
Sim nods his head as everyone seems to pretty much agree that he and Lafetha should approach first. He then turns and gathers his courage and walks towards the tribe's village. As he goes he would like to take note of anyone he sees out farming or wandering around outside the village. Also to take note of anything that may be useful. If these seem like peaceful farmers vs. warriors etc. to see if they are just trying to make out a living on the mountain. Sim will keep his weapons within reach but not out and walking slowly much like how shepherd moved to appear at ease. perception19
Diadochi sees Sim heading out "well hang on now, we can't have you going up there clearly alone, I'll be just outside the village in case things go pear shaped. " Diadochi will follow Sims up into the village and try to see if there are any easy escape routes perception3
The group begins to approach, making it's way towards what is clearly the easiest access point to the top of the plateau. Sim and Lafetha begin to take the route, noting that it was once upon a time some kind of stone pathway, or staircase. Now pulverized and torn apart by weather across the years. The remainder of the group stays a little further behind as they continue up.
Sim, you're the first to notice creatures looking at you approaching on the path. They're definitely smaller than humans, but bigger than a goblin. Dark amber skin with black hair, and a flat face. Small triangular cat-like noses sit in the middle, as bright solid white eyes peer at you. It's a entirely alien face, no other creature any of you have met before resembles them. A few of them turn, shouting back behind them. The language is foreign as well; unable to determine if the root language is one that's even spoken.
As you both continue to move up, a few more of these creatures begin to take up a spot on the top. Their squat frames clothed in furs and leathers, most of them passing out spears. Feathers and bone fragments adorn their bodies, hair, and clothing. Some have ritual scars on their faces. One takes a few steps towards you all, shouting something as you approach.
Those on the ground can see some of the figures, but not much else. As Diadochi looks around, he assumes the best escape route would be to jump off the plateau and hope to somehow slow yourself down along along the drop.

As sim sees the tribe taking up positions on the top of the plateau. He stops and raises his hands to show he is not aggressive. Then he begins to act out that they are friends and what they are there for. performance4
The group at the top watch Sim carefully as he does his best to break down why you're there. During a few of the motions they clamor and say things. Some mumbling. Others pointing. A few of them take a step alongside the other and toss their hands at you. Clearly responding to Sim and Lafetha
The others down at the bottom can hear new voices beginning to shout at your two friends.
Upon hearing the new voices speak up Diadochi says more to himself than the others "It's okay for now, I told Sims the story about Great Uncle Alexander and the Cannibals, he'll no doubt use what he remembers of that story to know how to signal what the precise kind of trouble he is in, if he is in trouble... which right now he isn't."
One of the tribesmen takes his spear, and hurls it at Lafetha and Sim. It lands between about five feet in front of Sim. Sticking in the ground upright. The figure doesn't move to grab another spear, just tosses his arms out and repeats the same thing it stated before. While it certainly feels like a warning shot, it's possible that he missed.
