I knew it took a while to put the armor on, so I knew I wouldn't be able to do so in combat, so that's fine.
And these Stealth rolls are pretty great so far!!! Seems like I made a good choice. All we have left to roll for stealth is the rogue lol with the lucky feat :)
Very nice stealth rolls; Dario hasn't rolled yet, but you guys have two nat 20s already, so even if he gets a nat 1, it's still enough.
You wait in various locations around the snare trap. About twenty minutes pass, and then Dario, you hear the rustling of leaves that indicates something is moving through the forest off the trail towards you. A few seconds later, the rest of you hear it as well, and then you see four goblins, similar to those you faced before, moving to inspect the trap. They're not very stealthy; in fact, as they get nearer, you can hear them whispering to each other in the goblin language - you can't make anything out, but they seem to be agitated or excited. When the lead goblin reaches the empty snare trap, he looks at it, then turns on the others and starts screeching and shouting. The noise startles several animals and birds that are nearby. The goblins have absolutely no idea - for the moment - that any of you are there, as they bicker and make threatening gestures at each other. They are all now clustered around where the trap is.
If you wish to attack the goblins, then please roll initiative. They haven't seen you, which means that they will be surprised (unable to act) in the first round, provided you act quickly. If you want to take captives, you can attempt to inflict non-lethal damage - you just need to tell me that's what you intend. Note that non-lethal damage can only be done with a melee attack; ranged attacks and spell attacks will still be lethal if the target falls to 0 HP. If you want to do something else, then just let me know.

I assume that critical with the glaive kills a goblin if there is still one alive when it comes time for my turn. If that is the case, the bonus action attack will be directed at another goblin within range (again, nonlethal damage if it is the last goblin)
Again, assuming the critical is a kill the following happens: Asher begins twirling his glaive around his body, behind his back then again to the front as he brings it up as it pierces the goblin's torso, launching the goblin into the air. Asher slams his glaive's end on the ground as the goblin falls onto the glaive, the cold steel piercing its head.

Dario watches the goblins come down the path. He pulls back the string on his bow and watches for Asher to make the first move. As Asher moves into battle, Dario aims his arrow at the legs of one of the goblins, hoping to take it down alive.

Attack 21 for Damage 5 w/ Sneak Attack 6
I keep forgetting I'm not 2nd level...no cunning action yet. :) and I removed the stealth roll which once again threw an error. Sorry. I just figured I'd delete it since I can't use it...Forgot that removing is the same as editing.
Still need an initiative roll for Scupper; I hope you don't mind, but I'll just make it for you, as I don't think this combat is going to last very long!

First blow is to Dario, who fells Goblin 2 with a single arrow.
Goblins 1 & 2 are surprised and take no action; Goblin 2 doesn't even get a chance to look up before she is slain.
Vaz shoots a now familiar bolt of flaming nothing towards Goblin 1: Fire Bolt Attack: 24 Damage: 11
(That hits; Goblin 1 is now barely clinging on to life, flailing as most of its body catches alight.)
Goblins 3 & 4 are surprised and take no action.
Strix rushes up and jabs at Goblin 3 with his quarterstaff (I assume), but it misses, as does his second strike. Luckily, Scupper has closed in on the same Goblin 3 and a single nasty rapier thrust goes up through the back of the Goblin's neck and pierces its brain; it falls down dead.
Mistweaver has her longbow at the ready, and aims a shot at Goblin 4: Attack: 11 Damage: 6. Sadly it misses, the arrow embedding itself in a tree not far from where Asher is standing; Mistweaver looks over in a vaguely apologetic fashion.
Asher approaches at a run and uses the force of his momentum to carry over into his glaive's swing; it literally cleaves Goblin 4 in half and then, in a single fluid motion, strikes the already frantic Goblin 1 on the forehead, knocking it unconscious. It falls to the ground, and Vaz waves his hands to remove the burning from its body.
Congrats, folks, that was a pretty much perfect ambush. You now have one unconscious goblin lying on the ground in front of you.
Scupper wipes his blade and slips it back in his sash. He looks over the bodies and back at the unconscious one. Then he points to the rather cleanly killed goblin he stabbed through the back of the neck and brain.
"That one. Hardly looks dead don't he? Now, not to offend you, Strix, but if that other gobo wakes up and catches sight of you feasting this friend o' his here what I stabbed in the brain, maybe with a bit of prestidigitation on someones part to help with some screams, we can have this wee shite believing he'll be eaten alive if'n he don't cooperate fully. Now I know this may seem a tad much but greenskins is fowl little monsters who would just as soon eat their own so we gotta be over the top here. ...Plus it'll be hilarious."
I'd like to try the intimidation on that little bugger when he wakes but with Strix helping out with my party trick if he's willing to let the beast out for a bit o' fun. I'm not sure if he's cool with that or not and Scupper is trying to be as casual about the possibility as he can so as not to offend. If not, I'd still like the assistance of any magic user with the wherewith-all to prestidigitate some screams and I could perform torture of another kind on the corpse. Intimidation is my jam.
Its seems that the promise of data coverage in the middle of nowhere was greatly exaggerated The goanna's on the other hand, were plentiful. I am now back in semi civilization but am still holiday. Will post now with better regularity but may be offline for a couple of hours Friday night (Aussie time). We've only started our adventure together but I missed you guys.
Vaz:
I can probably make shome pretty shcary illusiony type things. Mostly illusion. A bit anyway. You should shtand back though.. He says, mildly swaying.
Three things that are now just comin' to the ol noggin..He continues One: How do we wake him up? Two: How long till their mates wonder where they are, and Three..He takes a large swig from his "Water" skin. He then looks about at everyone looking at him. Varinth looks himself up and down. Then looks at everyone again.

The goblin is severely injured. He will awake naturally after 2 hours. You can wake him instantly if you have healing magic (you don't) or if you feed him a Goodberry; you might still have some of those left. :)

Scupper makes to hide as well.
Too right. Now this be the way I fancy having us our own ambush. Sure and it's more to my liking to be on this side of it.
Stealth Roll 10
I love the irony that the rogue with stealth expertise gets the lowest stealth roll of the party lol

Asher would most definitlely jump to the attack as quick as possible. All of Asher's attacks are lethal, until only one goblin remains.

Attack nearest : 19 for 6 damage.
Bonus : unarmed attack 19 for 6 damage. Aimed at same guy, unless he was drowned in which case hit the weakest looking goblin.
If that leaves him more than 5 feet from the nearest Goblin, move so they can't approach the magic user without provoking a reaction.
Edit : might as well have just shouted "here I am!" And left it at that.
That 21 was a 6. Don't know what happened there
Edit 2 - it's a 6 again. Very confusing.

I think you would definitely have advantage on an intimidation check with Strix chewing on a corpse in the background - if he agrees!
