“I agree with Brom. Let’s see if Quinn has better luck than me with figuring this thing out. Omnia, have you seen any traps similar to this device in your travels?”
(Quinn inspects the trap. It looks like a standard pressure plate trap: If something heavy enough goes on it, something will happen, and it probably won't be good.)
DMs note: Omnia, as a Rogue, remember that you have Thief's Tools that are made for this kind of situation. If you use them, you get to add your proficiency bonus, so your roll would be d20 + 5 + 2. There are other options, but I want to let you guys do your thing.
(Omnia reaches into her bag of tricks and pulls out a set of tools that seem to have been used for this purpose before. She gets on the ground and starts working on disarming the trap. After about a minute, a slight 'click' is heard, and Omnia announces that the trap is now disabled.)

After a failed attempt to climb the wall and a more thorough inspection of the bridge the party discovers the nature of the trap and Omnia steps up to disarm it. Something she accomplishes remarkably quickly. Idalie grinning at her success before nodding in agreement with Nate's words. "Onward and downward." She says, stepping onto the bridge.

I guess I'll roll for Brom: Perception: 15
(As you reach the other side of the bridge, you see a slightly open door. You all peer thru it, carefully.)
Spoiler for Omnia, Idalie and Quinn:
As you peer inside, you see a large Bugbear, a kind of super Goblin, who may be the leader. He looks pretty tough, with thick furs and armor, and a giant Warhammer over his shoulder. Next to him, a regular Goblin in robes stands before a makeshift altar, chanting words that appear to be part of a ritual. You adjust your angle and see that there are 2 Goblins standing about on the right side of the room, talking among themselves, not really paying much attention.
Spoilers for Brom and Nate:
As you peer inside, you see a large Bugbear, a kind of super Goblin, who may be the leader. He looks pretty tough, with thick furs and armor, and a giant Warhammer over his shoulder. Next to him, a regular Goblin in robes stands before a makeshift altar, chanting words that appear to be part of a ritual. You adjust your angle and see that the makeshift altar is in front of a large statue that looks like the leader of the Delian Order, Sextus Varius. You adjust your angle again, and see that there are 2 Goblins standing about on the right side of the room, talking among themselves, not really paying much attention. As you make one final adjustment, you see that on the far left corner of the room, a small girl is squatting in a small cage, her dirty, tear-stained face covered in dirt and mucus. She sobs softly, as if she has been crying for hours and hours and is just about cried out.
"Don't stop", bellows out the Bugbear at the Shaman Goblin (in common), "we're so close. Soon, this place will become a proper temple for the Goblin God, and we will consecrate it... with the blood of the innocent! Nothing will stop us!"
The Bugbear lets out an evil laugh as the Shaman Goblin continues to chant and perform the ritual.
As the party peers through the door, it takes Nate everything in him not to burst through the door and attack the goblins. But he doesn't.
Nate whispers: "There's 3 goblins that I can see along with a really big one who looks like the leader. And guys.... I can see the little girl.... she is in a cage."
Nate then turns to Omnia and whispers:
"Omnia... are you seeing that statue in there by the Altar?! It looks like the same man that you were describing from the carvings on the wall in that other room. Could Sextus Varius be part of this?
Nate glances back at the girl who he sees is in a cage.
Quinn feeling bad for letting Nate walk on to the bridge alone, follows him and also tries to investigate the raised plate form.
Investigation Check: 16
Why don't we throw a rock at the plate and see what happens if need be I am sure we can kill anything that comes up
