"Stupid piece of shit bird--" Natasha didn't expect that hit to hurt as much as it did, her free hand now holding at her bleeding side, but before she could even think about attacking the kenku again, Misha stepped forward and missed the attack which would have hopefully put the creature in the dirt. Regardless of the miss, Natasha found herself grateful to have even interested the paladin. I can't believe I feel like I'm going to have to take her on a date to repay her for how much she's helped me.
"Thanks, Misha, I'll try--" Natasha bit her bottom lip to suppress the urge to groan in pain, distracting herself by listening to Misha's conversation with Kleric. "Wh-where do you even come from? Place s-sounds awful." The elf manages a chuckle.

"Misha promise to explain when battle is over, flower. For now, stay close and aim better!" She laughed, pinching Natasha's cheek quickly before bearing down on the Kenku again. She took a moment while she swung her warhammer to remember.
ACHERON AVALAS, THE FIRST LAYER 13 YEARS AGO
Acheron is the Plane of War. It is made up of numerous immense iron cubes of various size floating in infinite space, very different than other places I have been. It has four main layers. But, it is my home. When I was 13, by His Command, I was allowed to visit the different cubes of Acheron. Avalas, the first layer, is where I spent most of my training to become a Paladin of Conquest. It is often called "The Battlefield". It contains the highest density of metal cubes and is thus host to the most fighting on the plane. The cubes are dotted with fortresses and covered with battlefields, hence the nickname. Collisions between the cubes causes them to break apart in to smaller cubes, hence the smallest cubes are the oldest on the layer.
Taetanicus, The Great Commander, the one responsible for my military training, took me one day on my 13th birthday to see the edge of the Cube. Already stronger and more disciplined than others of my creation, I remember that day like it was yesterday, when he showed me, it was unlike anything I had seen in my life.
The Infinite Battlefield. My home.
When Taetanicus spoke, his voice rumbled and shook my core. I had deep respect for him. He made me strong. He made me tough. He gave me discipline and forged me into a weapon of Conquest. "Acheron is the bridge between the ultimate order of Nirvana and the regimented evil of the Nine Hells, our Great Enemy. As such, each layer is emphasized order over evil. You were created NOT to be a pawn in this War, but something Greater. A Daughter of Conquest. Your destiny has been written long ago. Soon, you will fulfill it.
"With your great wisdom, I understand, Commander." I said, saluting him. It was the best birthday ever.
Feeling his hatred turn into a bit of resurgence, Oni snarls at his allies, "Quit babbling about your lives and homes." Looking at Jill and Misha, "You claim to be battle worn, yet you have spoken nothing of strategy. If you want to live long enough to end this onslaught, formalize a unit and focus targets." As he speaks, the tougher he tries to sound, the more scared he seems. His adrenaline is wearing down and desperation has kicked in. He swings the hilt of his sword and speaks in a lower tone, "Lets get this done." Focusing on the battle has distracted him from keeping up his appearance. In the midst of the battle, most of his hair has fallen off, revealing some remaining white hair, but much shorter and slicked back. On the top of his head above his temples, there are two horns that grow about four inches before unnaturally stopping. They look almost manically filed down in an effort to hide them from view. His eyes are a dark black, while his skin has brightened to a golden red.
Who died and made this guy general? With the appropriate finger raised, Jill comes up with a retort to Oni. "Here's a strategy for you. Shut up and stop riding my a- What the ****? You have horns!" Her clever comeback is cut short when she starts to see his Tiefling features come out.
Jill downs her kobold foe with a vicious thrust, and the creature's last moments of life are spent in a pitiful attempt to keep it's guts from spilling out.
Jill, do you join the defenders fleeing to the keep or the warriors remaining on the battlefield?
Kelric hits the kobold sorcerer swith an arrow to the leg and delivers a savage blow to one of the kobolds, removing an arm with one deft flick of his wrist. (You may roll for critical damage)
Kelric, do you join the defenders fleeing to the keep or the warriors remaining on the battlefield?
I need to get out of here. Jill mused. But I need to get Misha out too. If I get the girl, I bet I'll get her too. "You're wounded, mademoiselle. Let's get you back to the keep. Misha, please give me a hand in getting Natasha out." And Jill will reach down and try to lead the elf girl away.
Misha turns her head to listen to fellow teammate with horns and hair problem, but looks to Natasha and Jill after he squeaks out his words of fear, she smiles at them, and holds up her gauntleted hand to show her thumb and index finger very close together, as if indicating the size of the yelling man’s sexual organ. She has a very cute look on her face as she does so, as if his words did not affect her, nor matter.
She picks up Natasha, and yells out to Jill, and the rogue, and everyone else.
Grum staggers away from his foe, relieved to still be conscious. Barely able to walk, he calls out, "Wait for me!"
He grabs up his longbow from the floor behind him, and uses it to help him stay upright as he desperately scrambles back to the keep, right behind Misha, Natasha and Jill.
Natasha gives Jill a small smile of appreciation when she came over to help the elf get out of there, even if the pain at her side made her want to cry. “Jill, thank yo—!!” She lets out a squeak of surprise at being lifted and carried bridal style by Misha.
The ranger wasn’t too sure if she was hot because of an incoming infection, or because she was in the strong arms of the paladin. Justdon’tlook. “Thanks, uh...” She lost her train of thought, but snapped out of it hearing Grum’s plea. She turns her head and calls out to the blood hunter. “Jill, help him!”
