Along with Larth, Buppido and JimJar were the only other two keeping watch that night, Bupido after Larth and Jimjar for last.
Buppido: I wasn't paying much attention to camp because I was looking for threats from the outside, but I do get fixated on perfection, and I can tell you that were as many bodies sleeping when I left guard as there were when I started keeping watch. I do notice those details.
Jimjar: I haven't seen anyone leave camp, but I betcha we'll find them soon enough. Maybe not alive, but two kids like that won't go far in the underdark under normal circumstance, and certainly not now that it's being overrun by demons. Wanna wager 1 gold piece we'll find one of them dead a few feet down the road?
Jimjar then flashes 1 gold piece in front of your eyes
Jimjar semed really eager to make the bet with you, but alas he accepts the fact that you don't want to bet with him. He bets Sarith 1gp that you'll make someone tear their hair out in frustation by the end of the day. The drow laughingly accepts the bet. Everyone is now up and ready to move close to Sloobludop and a place to regroup and decide how to get out of this inferno, but first you have to find yor way forward, as the stalactites falling have changed the area slightly.
Choose someone to be the navigator and roll for survival to find your way out. You can also roll to forage for food with a separate survival check. Please deisgnate one person per role, someone else can help with foraging and navigation as well, in which case add an extra +2 to your roll. Also let me know at what pace you'd like to travel: Fast (8mi/day, no foraging), normal(normal foraging rules, 6mi/day), slow (foragin is easier, can sneak, 4mi/day)
These two left the camp at some point during one of our shifts. We are in no position to lose more people if we want to survive. We can use there help if we want to want to make it to town, especially when taking into account all we have been through so far. Are you sure neither of you saw anything at all that seemed weird? Because if we are being followed still like this then it spells trouble for the whole group.
Buppido looks at you, Larth. His eyes narrow: Maybe if you think we are being followed we should start moving, don't you think? Plus, two less people in our group means two less mouths to feed. Let them be off and get killed somehwere if that's what they want to do, it only makes it better for us. Can we go now? I grow bored.
During your downtime, you manage to find a 10 feet tall young specimen of Zurkhwood. This massive mushroom has an inedible, wood-like stalk. However, the spores are edible and can be harvested for food. If you decide to venture the climb, you'll be rewarded with 7lbs of food. You also find a bit of water pooled up nearby, which yields you 8 gallons of water.
Harry turns to his compatriots and says, "I will carve of pieces of the mushroom for everyone. They will fall freely so someone will need to catch them as they do." He chants something in Arcana and disappears in a shroud of smoke. He reappears on top of the large fungi, pulls out his sample-carving knife and prepares to carve. Once Harry is ready, he waits for the signal from another member below.
"It will be a shame to destroy such an extraordinary creature, but we do what we must to survive," Harry ponders.
After harvesting as much as possible from the mushroom, yuk-yuk (one of the goblins who started following you after the silken paths), gives you directions on where to go next as he is familiar with the area. The only way forward is to cross through some sacred grounds, and he warns you all to be on your toes. After a few hours of marching, the passage narrows to a 5ft wide staircase leading down. The staircase is adorned on either side by torches that light up a blue hue as you go by them, and turn off again as your party passes by. As you near the bottom of the stairs, Jimjar warns you of a possible trap, as he points out a pressure plate on the last step.
"Thank you ,Yuk-yuk. I believe I underestimated you."
Harry turns to the group. "Okay, everyone. On my signal, carefully run towards the stairs and lightly jump into the air. I will make it so that we safely glide towards the bottom, missing the trap at the base of the stairs."
Harry pulls his quill out of his backpack and holds it in his hands. Chanting in Arcana, he grants his party with the properties of a feather. Once the ritual is complete, Harry raises his hand, motioning for everyone to follow his lead. He takes a running start and jumps forward, gliding above the staircase.
You now find yourself in a large, circular room. On the walls, a multitude of frescos faded by time bring to life a tale made up of epic wars against drows and minotaurs, while on the floor, there are piles of bones scattered, with some forming a few mounds. As you look, the only other thing worthy of note in the room is an altar burning a blue flame, and a drow staring at one of the paintings on the wall.
Harry halts, silently directs the group to stop, and turns to look at Stool. In hopes of tying to initiate Stool's telepathic abilities, he points at the various members of the party and then draws his fingers closer together until they touch. "I'm not sure how this works." Harry, speaks in his mind towards Stool. "But if you can hear me, can you connect our thoughts now?"
He then addresses the group. "Careful, everyone. For those who can't see, there is a Drow ahead. We can't have him warning the others. Larth, follow me and we will try to ambush him. Everyone else, stay here and wait for my signal. If you hear commotion, come and help."
Larth is reluctant to take the first shot as he is not feeling so lucky after his his last few performances. But us willing to give it a try if needed.
There is a lot of tension in the room. As your group decides on the next steps, the drow perks up and stares in your direction. Suddenly, the temperature in the room drops by a few degrees. The candle on the altar goes off, and some of the piles of bones tremble as their shape changes. Before your very eyes, the piles grow and reassemble to form a large, monstrous mass of decaying flesh and bones, Its glowing purple eyes staring right at Harry, while two more smaller skeletons appear to its side, dancing their swords and threatening to attack the first unfortunate soul to cross their path.

Drawing his scimitars, the drow’s eyes dart between the risen dead and the surface-dwellers. He swings wide to his right, giving the minotaur bones a wide berth, and slashes twice at one of the skeletons.

"By Yondalla , what manner of creature is this!?" Harry reels back in horror as the mass of decrepit rot rises from the floor.
The halfing steps back and reaches out with his staff. Murmuring in Arcana, Harry summons light from his staff once more and sends four shards of energy hurling towards the largest monster.
Harry is moving one space west and one space north. The monster takes 16 damage.
"Do not lose focus, everyone" Harry telepathically signals to the group. "This Drow does not seem to be in league with these beasts. But he still might make a run for it. We must not let this happen, so stay sharp."
Larth draws his bow hoping his luck is going to change and shoots an arrow at one of the smaller Skeletons.
Attack roll 13
Damage roll 7
If Larth chose not to shoot the arrow, then takes a few steps back and attempts to cast Vicious Mockery on one smaller Skeleton with a Spell DC of 15. "Hey you hunk of bones and rotten flesh, you think you're cool being mostly dead. I've had a harder time starring at a dead fish than you"
Tyrin's large movement gives the skeleton enough times to prepare for the incoming attack. As the scimitars start slashing at the skeleton, he raises his shield and blocks both incoming attacks. Disatrcted by your actions, the largest of the skeletons is caught in the back by the magic shot by Harry. This causes the minotaur skeleton to move closer to Tyrin, and slashes at him with a greataxe. Following this, Larth lets loose an arrow which hits the unguarded drow skeleton's back while he was busy blocking Tyrin's incoming attacks. The impact causes it to recoil in pain, and he lashes out at Tyrin with his sword. The other skeleton instead approaches Larth and slashes at him instead.
Harry takes steady steps back towards the door. "This is going to get dicey."He signals to the group telepathically. "We should think about making a retreat, or at least getting these things into a choke point."
Harry twirls his pignut hickory staff while speaking an Arcane phase. A small mist of frost forms around the staff as the air chills around it. Harry can feel the staff get chilled as frost creeps down the wooden shaft. He reaches out with the staff and sends the bulk of frost towards the creature attacking Larth. The ensure his success, Harry channels the Weave into the monster, distorting its ability to resist the attack.

He then starts his beat and begins to scavenge for food and drink as the party packs up the camp.
