Kif tears himself out of the creature's grip. The burning acid rips at his skin as he comes free, but he has saved himself from a deadly situation.
Fope and Kif, you may both go. You may also both attack with melee weapons, because you're pretty small. I'll allow it here, against a larger target in a narrow hall.
Føpé, noticing the creatures attention is partially diverted by the big dwarf's ax, will attempt to slide the point of his blade into an exposed infected bit of gum - Attack: 24 Damage: 12
And you give it a good stick, right in the eye! Or something! It shrieks again, but it does not seem to lose its vigor.
It bites again at Kif, but without the element of surprise it is unable to catch him in its teeth. Barnaby, you're up. Then I'll take care of the others, then we'll go back to the top.
Barnaby, straining to get a good view over the heads of his companions will hop a bit for a better vantage as he points a stubby finger and launches a firebolt at the door.
It's just too crowded for Puddin or Ireena to do anything. Ireena is concerned that Kif might be hurt, but she's also concerned that Shar might not want her to spend too much time healing, compared to other things.

I like creatures that can take a beating. They make good practice. Føpé, watching the creatures attention follow the axe concurrently tearing away its flesh, will dive in again: Attack: 17 Damage: 13
Kif delivers a tremendous blow, finding a soft spot and burying his axe deep within the monstrous creature. Fope's blade is not so fortunate, failing to penetrate the Mimic's thick, acidic hide.
As Kif attempts to pull his weapon free, though, he is dangerously exposed. The Mimic delivers a savage bite, and lands a second crit!!! Kif suffers a combined 21 points of piercing and acid damage!!!
Let me set the stage for the rest of you, my friends.
Kif is gripped in the mouth of this creature, who just took its turn. Before it goes again, there will be Barnaby's turn, then Ireena and Puddin *might* go, if they can do anything from around the corner. Then Kif will roll a death save. If he fails, and the creature goes again, it is quite likely that the creature will just bite him again, and (because he is unconscious) crit again.
Will Kif survive, if the Mimic gets a second bite at him? Maybe we'll find out.

Oh dear! There's so little I can do.
Barnaby goes wide eyed seeing his friend, bloodied and unconscious, being eaten by a door. In a panic, he casts Flaming Sphere on the door, careful to avoid singeing Kif. The door must make a DC 13 dex save to take half, or, on a fail, take all of the 5 damage.
I brainlessly rolled it in Roll20. Wasn't thinking about it, but there it is! A natural 1. The creature takes all 5 points of damage, and growls menacingly, shaking Kif in its jaws.

Oh, am I grappled or anything, or is the mouth's grip just for flavor (see what I did there..hehe)
Yup, make an Athletics or Acrobatics check, your choice, at disadvantage to escape a Grapple. It would be good if you succeeded. :)

Nice! The 16 is enough.

If that hits 7 damage
Definitely a hit!
Kif sinks his axe into the nasty, biting door. Definitely put a dent in it, though it only becomes more enraged.

To hit: 20 Damage: 6
It's actually not that hard to see, considering it's the height of the hallway. You hit it!
