"Farewell pure spirit. We will take your advise and leave Wazzok in your care."
Looking at Kestrell she smiles, "Good choice friend. We have much to do and the people of this area need us, they need you."
Altani looks to the other, "I say we leave Wazzok in Cypress' care. She will look after her and hopefully she will heal from this trauma. As for what Cypress said, I am confused. Didnt we meet some gnomes or halfling near the first murder site we visited? "
The paladin walks over to Wazzok and kisses her on the head. "Brave Wazzok, you will do well in Cypress' care. Let her and Mielikki heal you for it is not your time to enter the Munkh Khukh Tengri."
Kestrell's unusually bashful response is met only with the sounds of breeze-rustled vines, frog croaks and the buzzing of dragonfly wings.
Wazzock's skin feels warm to the touch and her breathing seems steady to Altani as the centaur bids her farewell. Swamp grasses seem to grow noticably around Mazin's feet, blooming and waving in the slight wind, almost as though beckoning the massive warrior to relinquish his unconscious burden.
A previously unseen path down around the Eastern shore of the lagoon lies open, leading back towards the South and the difficult track that the party had first followed along the creek from the still distant town of Ambersilt.

In Orcish, he will say to Wazzock, as he lays her down in the soft moss by Cypress's tree:
"Take care, priestess of Gruumsh. May he watch over you as you slumber, so you may once again fight in his name. We shall meet again."
He will turn back to the others. "Did we meet some gnomes? Was it after I went back to town? Perhaps we should return to town and let them know what we have learned. They might be able to point us in the right direction."

Altani ponders for a few moments. “They where gnomes, remember. She e had two wands and they lived in a house which overlooked the first murder site we visited.”
”Yes if we follow this path we will go past the location of the murder Cypress’ mentioned and head towards town. The sun is climbing towards midday, let us move onwards with our quest.”

"Let's head back to the other murder sight and see if we can find any clues. "
The centaur takes in the wilds as she walks forwards, her nostrils flaring with the smells of the forest and lake and her legs trotting high with energy and enthusiasm.
As the adventurers make their way from Cypress's lagoon-glade back towards the upsteam murder site of lizardwoman, they do so with a uniform sense of peace at leaving Wazzock behind with the fey but demonstably benevolent tree-spirit. Marching determinedly onwards, the group soon comes upon the indicated area, though little sign of disturbance or trespass remains after so long. The wild-flowers and long grasses along the stream bank look all-but undistrubed after the passing of the ten-days since the supposed murder of the village woman.

As they stop to examine the murder site, Kestrell takes out his waterskin for a drink only to find it empty. He sighs, and then brightens unexpectedly: "Oh yeah! My new decanter." Kestrell takes the Decanter of Endless Water and says "Stream", which produces a gallon of water. He looks around at the rest of the group, hoping they are impressed.
"I would wish to partake in some of the cooling water as well" Altani says as she holds out a half empty waterskin. "If you would oblige, it would be appreciated."
"So it all comes back here, according to Cypress." The centaur walks a slow circle, taking in the scene. "We definitely need to take our time and look around here, see if we can see anything that was left by these little-people and there pets which could give us a hint."
"Of course, Altani!" Kestrell fills up her waterskin, refilling the Decanter if needed.
"Yes, let's look for clues! I'll help you, how about that?" Kestrell starts following Altani around and pointing out tracks here and there, and any remnants or garbage he sees.
OOC: Trying to give Altani the Help for her check.
From the information provided by both Leetha and Cypress, you estimate that almost a full lunar cycle has passed since that 1st murder took place here. The river bank looks largely undisturbed by civilised hands, long lush green grasses and a smattering of red and yellow wild flowers carpeting the area. The backgroud music of crickets and marshland birdsong blends with the noise of the running water to create an altogether pleasant sound quite at odds with the horrific deed that you know took place in this location. The only other thing that a cursory look around reveals is that the banks are fairly high here and the river water appears to flow quite swiftly.
[OOC] Feel free to make a [skill] perception [skill\] check with advantage for Altani.

As their other companions glance about uncertainly, worried that the passage of time may have erased any possible clues as to what occurred here those tendays ago, Altani paces back and forth low to the ground, occasionally responding to a prompt from Kestrell. Almost ready to cease her efforts as futile, the purposeful warrior finally notices a drop off along a small portion of the bank, which upon closer examination reveals a sharply sloping section of riverbed below. Barely visible just beneath the water's swirling surface about ten metres out from the bank (roughly 1/3 of the distance across the river), Altani spots something unnatural moving loose and fluidly beneath the fast flowing surface.

Stepping up to the edge of the bank, Kestrell casts his spell and reaches out and downwards to try an lift the object from the water. However, while the magical hand manages to grasp the item, it fails to free it from the fast flowing river's grasp and lift it above the surface of the water. It seems that the object is too heavy, perhaps caused by the additional weight of the water.

Stashing her shield on her flank, Altani takes out a lenght of rope and starts to tie it off around her midsection. Making sure it is sturdy, she tosses Kestrell the other end.
"It's clearly too heavy for that little witch hand. You're going to have to go in and get it. I am by far the more sturdy of us so I will be the anchor. Mazin can help me to secure the rope as well. Tie it off around your waist but be careful in the water. I hope those eels do not live around here as well but I would say the water is too fast-flowing for them in these parts."

"Alright, good idea."
Kestrell removes his equipment and places it on the bank, and then his clothes as well. He keeps his Arcane Focus, a crystal, tied around his neck, and then ties the rope around his waist.
"You got me?" he asks Altani. Seeing her nod, he walks about 15 feet upstream, and then begins walking out into the river.
