Looking for any signs of life, Autzen peers down the shaft they had just ascended. He's eager to capture on of these goblins, there is certainly untold treasure... and traps... still to be found in these caves.
Perception: 20
Autzen looks down the fissure and see's the fleeing goblin at the bottom on the ground, groaning and bloodied. The goblin appears to be getting up to flee, scared out of his mind.
Solaris thinks it’s wasting time waiting for this stupid rope he picks it up walks over to the goblin J7 and ties him up 16
(OOC: Tying someone up is not an automatic hit. For a monster that is not incapacitated, you need to subdue, e.g., by a grapple . I will assume you attempted to grapple with your roll (which is a STR-Athletics check). I'll add your STR bonuses. The goblin can contest via a Dex or Str check (I can choose). Because the goblin is scared his ability roll will be at disadvantage. On your next permissible action you can roll a DEX check for tying up the goblin. Note that the goblin has the right to try to wiggle out of a knot with an appropriate ability roll. I will add +3 to your 16 roll as that is your athletics bonus).
Solaris grabs the rope and tackles the Goblin.
"Get off me! I surrender! Let me live! I'll tell you everything you need to know! I know where the human is!! Please, don't kill me! I was just following orders!"
The goblin clearly thinks the companions are here to rescue Sildar, the captured human. The prospect of death cause the goblin to grovel like the condemned on the hangman's scaffold.
"Please, don't torture me! I can't handle pain!"
The goblin attempts to wrestle with Solaris, trying to break fee (Dexterity Check: 6 )
(OOC: Combat over. Solaris needs to roll DEX for the knot (it is an automatic hit as goblin is incapacitated). I can have the goblin attempt to break free with an ability check if you do something which realistically would warrant it. Feel free to move within the room and do any actions. If you plan to move outside the room I'll need specific locations and description on how you are approaching. 110 Experience each. Please update character sheets accordingly).
Solaris calls Adolmain and Rastin over and as he ties up the goblin 13 as he s tying up the little bastard he says “oh you’ll talk alright“
(corrective ruling - goblin is NOT incapacitated. He's restrained. Please note the advantage/disadvantage mechanics on restrained creatures if you do anything to the goblin.
Adolmain says “Tell us what you know goblin or my dragon friend here will deep fry whatever balls you do have with his fire breath” intimidation19
(Goblin Saving Throw: 9 with disadvantage)
The goblin begins to wimper pathetically, fearing Adolmain and clearly intimidated. "I'll tell you anything you want to know! Just don't cause me pain! I can't stand pain! Don't even like the sight of blood! I never wanted to be here. I was sold to Klarg and never liked him. Glad he's dead I am! I know this cave! Filled with traps and soldiers it is!I can take you to the human! Ask me anything!"
Adolmain asks”who hired you to kidnap the human and the dwarf? How many soldiers are left for us to kill? Show us on the map where they are and where the soldiers and traps are .” Adolmain asks knowing he will never trust this creature and that we will still be on the lookout for traps. I will wait for him to respond and if he marks the map or gives some lame excuse I will reply with this “Know this goblin you will be with us and have seen us kill your leader if we hit any surprises you are the first to die. Now mark the map and lead us to the captives.”
Solaris searches the room with a keen eye, first going to the unopened chest in the room. The contents of the chest, stained with the blood of the former owners of the contents, glitters. Solaris finds the following:
600 cp 110 sp two potions a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes. The frog statuette is small enough to fit in a pocket or pouch
"Yeermik will be pleased you killed Klarg me thinks!" the goblin says as Solaris checks the chest and the dead. "Nobody like Klarg!"
The goblin eyes the the map of their secret hideout and points out that Yeemik, the second in command at the camp, has Sildar in the "eating room" in the NW corner of the hideout. Sildar is guarded by Yeemik and five other goblins. The captured goblin notes that there are three goblins in the room just north and adjacent to Klarg's den, and another goblin guarding the bridge to the eating room. The sounds of water flowing through the cave likely masked the sounds of battle in Klarg's cave.
"I'm but a lowly servant," the goblin continues, "All I know Is that my King, Grol, wanted us to take the human and dwarf on the orders of the Black Spider. The little man isn't here. He's with Grol in his glorious castle. Klarg and Yeemik kept the human for some……..*gulp*….questioning….."
Solaris senses the goblin is telling the truth, but he can't be certain. A check of the bodies reveals nothing of value, other than Klarg's massive morningstar.

"By my math, it would seem the coin splits 150 copper, and 27 silver, a man with two extra pieces, I say we flip for those two. The frog looks like something I could move quite easily once back in town. I'm happy to give each of you 9 pieces of gold now for your share."
Now what to do with this goblin, Autzen contemplates to himself. There is no gain in letting him free, though convincing these religious types of that might prove difficult. Speaking to the group in a low voice, so as to not let the goblin hear his fate being discussed, Autzen presents his case to the group.
"I'm of the opinion we've learned what there is to know from this pile of dung. I would prefer we put him down. There is no honor among goblins, he will say what he must to be freed and report back to his lords. We can not allow that." Now having spent time with Rastin, he hopes this term "honor" pays dividends
"If there are those of you who would prefer to not take part in this, I'm happy to do what needs doing. If you are against this, then we compromise, we bind him further and cut out his tongue. We can't risk him alerting his brethren while we push on. I could be convinced he might provide some value as a head bobbing navigator through the rest of these caves."
Solaris replies “although the goblin seems honest I think we can use him still, why not throw him into the next room as a surprise tactic we gain the advantage of surprise if he was honest we will immediately know and if during the fight he should somehow die eh as they say shit happens”
"If he's to be used as a surprise, I would prefer we toss his severed head into the room. I fear once reunited with his people he'll find a way to turn on us... "

Adolmain examines the potions and the frog statue with the aid of Autzen arcana 23
Rastin examines the Morningstar, although he knows he may need a little help as discerning the properties of items is not his strong suit (aracana 5)
Adolmain quickly determines that the potions are Potions of Healing (success)
The frog statute is not magical, but will likely fetch around 40 GP to an interested merchant.
Rastin quickly determines that the morning star doesn't have any magical properties (success - low DC so you did it Rastin!)
