Zack would huff out a laugh too, before it faded into a firm-faced smile at Nadia Ah, I see! That explains it. The fanciest language I know is Sylvan, Knew a girl once.. Sold flowers in the market slums. If not for that crazed maniac, my life might have turned out completely differently. Hell, If I hadn't been out on duty......a clear expression of (Perhaps If I wasn't gone, i could have done something) washed over his features briefly, before he shook it off with a nod But you can't change the past, and I can't say I'm unhappy with my life right now! And you can't change the past.. well.. not without magic. Besides, I wouldn't be the me I am today otherwise. Besides, I have a dream I need to make come true, and a path I gotta follow..... But I'm rambling aren't I? Sorry! Ha. Either way, We got a full day ahead of us.
Zack would then begin to laugh both because of, and at Chad, saying If you'd been in the army you'd have been left behind by now! And then punished if you'd caught up for tardiness! Zack would unravel Chad's wad, and carefully show him the proper way to roll up a tent, and it's excess, Like this... Once you see it done it's rather simple huh? he asked, as he got the final roll on. I think you can figure out how attach it to your pack at least eh? he said, giving Chad a pat on the back, and offering him a friendly smile, to show he wasn't making fun of him.
Zack grunted and nodded at Lillith Sure did Lil! Thanks for asking. Hopefully you did too! He'd say as he took one of the proffered berries from Blight, popping it in his mouth, and savoring the flavor. These would have been good to have in the army.. maybe they should have recruited some Druids as cooks.... Oh, also.... Blighttree... he'd say, his tone going conspiratorially playful as he decided he wanted to play a little joke on the dragonborn, whispering in his ear Did you know.. that in Elf and human culture.... offering one of the opposite gender, berries, is a marriage proposal? (Friendly Deception: 8 Vs Insight if you wish to see if Zack is yanking your chain)
If Blight figured it out, he's smile broadly, and slap him on the back, and say Sorry man, I had to!
If not, Zack will simply let it become a running theme....
After all this, Zack would finally head over to the cart, as Blight had, taking the reins with (AH: 2) very little success....

Lilith
Once again, Lilith walks besides the wagon rather than sitting on it and keeps an eye out. She pops the berry that Blighttree had given into her mouth as they begin their journey. "Yum! Thanks, Blighttree."
"Yes, Zack, I get the concept of these crude things. But in execution, they are rather less than stellar. I will tell you one thing, when I get back to town, I will be getting a refund on this defective junk. I've clearly been ripped off." Chad snatches the tent. "I think I can manage from here." Chad will strap it to the pack with a distasteful look on his face. "Anyways, I am one for the finer things in life. Food, wine, half elven women. That's what life is really about. Not living in the muck and the squalor. Thanks for the help, by the way."
Chad will snap the goodberry and start to slowly chew on it. "Thanks, Blighttree. This will no doubt help me keep watch." Chad again jumps into the wagon. There is no way he is going to walk the whole way. That's for suckers.
With the watch being uneventful and not having a partner to converse with, Nadia opted to walk for the time being, deciding only if she ever got really tired that she would hop into the cart. The group was too silent for her liking, aside from idle chatter, so she decides to take initiative and get them talking. "Soooo,"She says loud enough for them all to hear. "Aaaanybody got a funny story they'd like to tell us? Gribz? Chad? Lilith? Blight, you once pick a mushroom and it turned out to be a little mushroom person?" She grins a little bit. "Or Zack, you got any cool war stories that you remember?"

"A story? Well, I once met an a man by the name of Mr Bearington. He was, and I quote, "a pillar of the community, a gentleman of high society, a respected patron of the arts and medicine as well as a known connoisseur of gourmet cooking!" He was a mysterious man of few words. Oddly enough, there were a few people who thought Mr Bearington was an actual bear! He had invited me over for a dinner party and, as we were eating, someone came bursting through the door, sword in hand, waving it hysterically, pointing and shouting at Mr Bearington, accusing him to be an actual bear! I was shocked to say the least. He lunged at Mr Bearington but he managed to swiftly dodge the crazed attacker and incapacitate him quickly. I was very impressed by his strength, though not surprised. He was a very large man. Mr Bearington then called his guards and the attacker was dragged out, kicking and screaming. "Why won't any of you listen!? He's a bear! He's a beeeeeeear!" It was most certainly a night that I won't forget anytime soon. Not only because of the attacker but also because Mr Bearington was a wonderful host and the food and entertainment he provided was fantastic! I haven't seen Mr Bearington since but I would love to meet him again. He was such a pleasure to be around."
Chad turns to Lilith and speaks loud enough for everyone to hear. "Seems to me this Mr. uh- Bearington, was quite possibly a bear. Are you a researcher of the occult? The unnatural? Shapeshifters? There are people out there that are called 'lycanthropes.' They're a person, just like you or me, but then they can change. Most turn into werewolves, which I'm sure you've all heard of. But this Mr. Bearington could have been a werebear. A man that has the ability to turn into a bear. They go into murderous rages in that state." Chad will look around to gauge the horror he has planted in their heads to just get a rise. "Anyways, I'm sure he was a nice enough guy... unless he changed..."
"Oh, I know what lycanthropes are and perhaps you're right. Maybe he was a lycanthrope... but the thing is, werebears are not like werewolves. Most werebears are very good natured. They often help those in need and most certainly do not go into murderous rages like werewolves do. If Mr Bearington was a lycanthrope, he was definitely of no harm to the town he lived in."
You carry on down the road at a fairly steady speed, if anything, slightly slower than the day before. After about half an hour you approach a fork in the road. A slightly weathered sign sticks out of the ground with three large arrows pointing in different directions. The oxen carry on past the sign slightly and there is an awkward moment when Blighttree and Zack attempt to try and get the cart to back up slightly. Upon looking at the sign you see that one arrow points back to the way you’ve just come down and reads ‘High Road North - Neverwinter’ another follows the coast ahead of you and read ‘High Road South - Leilon’ The third arrow points to a small, fairly wide dirt path that makes its way inland and reads ‘The Triboar Trail - Phandalin, Conyberry’
Zack heard Nadia's question, and began pondering about his own stories, and smiled a bit sheepishly as he realized none of them were really of any note except his escape... but, that wasn't something he could risk telling them about... They might decide to betray him in hopes of some reward.... Hmm, to be honest, not really... Atleast nothing that's interesting. It was what you'd expect the Military to be Y'know? My group was a special unit that patrolled. Our main two goals were keeping enemy spies out of the regions, and if we came across a town in distress - like under attack by bandits, etc - We'd intervene. I mean what bandit raid is gonna wanna go against twenty elite soldiers, and at least ten squires right? Haha! The work itself was boring, and nothing to note, but... I was happy doing doing it. As plain-jane as it was, I enjoyed making peoples lives better, protecting towns from bad people, it was ... fulfilling, and it gave them hope, and let them know there were heroes out there. It's pretty boring now that I think about it, sounds so plain, and vanilla huh? WHoa! he shouted as they were starting to head down the wrong trail.... (AH: 18) zack attempts to get the oxen back on the 'correct path' of the Triboar Trail
You decide to take the Triboar Trail and head down it for about half a day, fairly tired from the night before, conversation seems to be at a minimum. Just as you come around a bend, Lilith notices two large mounds on the road with what appear to be dark coloured birds circling above.
"Um, guys." Lilith points out the large mounds and the circling birds.
(OOC - Can I tell if the "mounds" are humanoids or animals that might be injured or something like that? If not, Lilith will move forward ahead of the group a bit to see what they are)
The cart slows down slightly as Lilith points this out. She moves forwards a few feet to get a better look. The two heaps on the floor appear to be two dead horses, one brown in colour, the other, much darker and slightly smaller, both of them are sprawled out about thirty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep, 5ft embankment on the northern side and dense thickets on both sides of the trail.

"Oh no. There are two dead horses over there!" Lilith rush over and check the bodies of the horses to see if they were riding horses or just wild horses.
As Lilith rushes over, she instantly recognises the horses to be those of Gundren Rockseeker and his companion Sildar. She notices that the saddlebags have been looted. Nearby lies an empty leather map case.
Zack reached out to shout at Lillith that Hey! It's dangerous to single yourself out like that.... We can't run out at every interesting thing that pops up along the road... We have a Job to ...
He was interrupted as she shouted about who's horses they were. (Well Shit...) he thought to himself, though he stayed on the Cart, once more shouting to Lillith Anyways, get back here... You're a sitting duck!
