OOC: Yep, Briga is going to be before the monster - PCs go brefore NPCs in Initiative :)
IC: Tyrus shoots his crossbow toward the creature as the arrow bounces off and crashes into a window on the street, with a smash. The arrow covered in glass shards and cracked in multiple places.
The dungsweepers quickly run to nearby cover and hide as the creature bursts into their line of site, all looking terrified. They try and barricade themselves so that the creature won't be able to reach them, and look towards the group of you nervously as the creature begins moving towards you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Griff runs forward, closing the distance between him and the creature, while Briga provides some covering fire with her crossbow, that goes straight down the gullet, but the creature continues to slide toward you on it's many legs.
The creature crawls along the side of the building, about ten feet in front of Griffdar at this time, when a tentacle from the creature slams towards him.
Carrion Crawler Attack against Griffdar: 26 Tentacle Damage: 5 Griffdar con save: 13
Griffdar gets hit by the tentacle of the creature, and he can feel that there is some toxicity to it, however he is able to push it out and avoid being affected by it this time, as the tentacle retracts, the creature still ten feet away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Griff will close the last bit of footage attacking at the creatures left side leaving a line of sight for Tyrus. Griff raises his maul overhead and slams it straight down.
Maul Attack: 24 Damage: 11
Great Weapon Fighting rerolling the 1: 6 -- sweet, thats 17dmg
OOC: Since the monster advanced, and I advanced 30 feet last round, if I move 30 will I be within reach to strike it with my glaive, with 10 foot reach, on my next action?
In his next round, Tyrus drops his crossbow out of fear of accidentally hitting one of his friends now in combat with the monster.
He then Moves forward 25', which I believe puts him within 60' of the monster seeing as it has charged forward to engage with Griffdar (correct me if I am wrong). He will then use his Bonus Action to Inspire Briga and his Action to mock the creature with Vicious Mockery (Wisdom Save versus a DC 12; Takes 1 Psychic Damage and target has Disadvantage on its next attack if it fails; No effect otherwise). If allowed, he will also pull his hand axe from his belt to have it in hand.
Inspiring speech & Vicious Mock (all in one): "Briga, just think of it as a polar bear with more legs than it knows what to do with and show me what you can do." [OOC: Best I can do at the moment, but I like the callback to what Briga said before.]

OOC: Briga: It was 100 feet away last round, so if you dashed last time it would be 40 feet away, it closed 30 feet so is ten feet away from you, you could make it this round. If you didn't move/dash last round, it would be 40-70 feet away, and would require a dash still to reach.
OOC: I did a regular 30 foot move, not a dash, but I do have a reach weapon. I gather, then, that with another 30 foot move, it would still be just out of reach?
OOC: I am posting this action assuming the above is correct, that I moved forward 30, and it moved forward 30, putting us at 40 feet apart right now, prior to taking this action.
Briga uses a Bonus Action to enter Rage, fires the Heavy Crossbow once more, advances 20 feet (placing her now 20 feet apart from the Monster) and draws, and holds, her Glaive, (dropping the heavy crossbow in the process) ending her turn thusly.
"Right on, Tyrus! Take this, you too-many legged, not-bear! There's a crossbow bolt in your, whatever your anatomy is, part of your middle body! Aargh, quips in battle are hard! I'm flippin out now, boys!" With that, Briga enters rage, closing to back up Griff in melee with the beast.
Firing one more shot with the crossobow, the bolt pierces right into the carrion crawler, only just managing to pierce it's hide as it continues to writhe and wiggle. The creature is starting to bleed from it's multiple wounds and looks like it won't be in the fight much longer, but now it is acting like an enraged animal and takes a swing with it's tentacles towards Griffdar
Carrion Crawler Tentacle /Attack Roll:18
The tentacles make impact with Griffdar as they secrete the same substance as before.
Carrion Crrawler Tentacle damage: 5
Griffdar Con Save: 4
This time as the tentacle makes impact, the substance that secretes out of it makes contact with Griffdar's neck. There is a burning sensasion that starts where it made impact that quickly spreads throughout the body, as the feeling spreads, Griff finds himself unable to move.
((OOC: Griffdar is Poisoned and Paralyzed - however at the end of your turn I'll need another con save from you Griff)).
Once the tentacle had done its work, the crawler bites down with its sharp maw.
Carrion Crawler Bite Attack Roll against Griffdar: 23
The carrion crawler bites into the now paralyzed flesh of Griffdar, beginning to devour it's next meal.
[OOC: For this move, Tyrus is going to cast a Bonus Action spell and a Cantrip as described here.]
Tyrus Moves 25' closer to the monster and then casts the cantrip Vicious Mockery as his Action. As a Bonus Action in this round he casts Healing Word on Griffdar.
[OOC: Monster needs to make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 12 to avoid taking 4 Psychic Damage and be Disadvantaged on its next attack.]
[OOC: Griffdar is healed 4 hit points by the Healing Word.]

OOC: OK, thanks. Griff is up next then. Briga will follow Griff's action.
Griff pulls out his maul and heeding the words of his friend tries to stay out of the line of sight. He dashes 60ft forward.
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Briga moves forward 30 feet, angled to not hinder Tyrus' line of sight, draws her heavy crossbow, and fires off a bolt at the creature.
5 - To Hit Roll, with heavy crossbow
5 - Piercing damage from heavy crossbow, if a hit
Edit: It was a critical hit, extra 1d10 damage: + 4 piercing damage, for 7 total.
