As Briga takes a strike, it once again, this time barely, dodges out of the way before continuing it's approach and stabbing her back.
Nimblewright Rapier Attack vs. Briga: 14 (11 Piercing damage) Nimblewright Rapier Attack 2 vs. Briga: 12 (6 Piercing damage) Nimblewright Dagger Attack vs. Briga: 17 (6 Piercing damage)
OOC: Not trying specifically to get more damage to Briga, but as she is using Reckless Attack, are attacks against her being rolled with Advantage? Up to you if you want to re-do them or not. Just trying to play fair. :)
[LOL. Tyrus is on 1 hit point. DM, Considering the layout of the tavern, is it possible for him to Disengage, Move and put a closed door between himself and his attackers?]

Tyrus Mountson: Lvl 3 Dwarvish Bard; Waterdeep Campaign (Dragon Heist) Nanoc the Younger: Semi-retired Lvl 2 Rogue / Level 2 Barbarian Human; The Knuckle, Mror Holds, Ebberon. The Honourable Jaden Fellan: Level 3 Human Eldritch Knight; Band of Sunswall
AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
In the midst of Rage, with her heartbeat hammering in her ears and the rapid strikes of the construct numbed by adrenaline, Briga surveys the battlefield. Sarah is lying still, bleeding out, dead or dying. Griff is nowhere to be seen. She is unsure if she is harming this thing, as it doesn't breathe, maybe doesn't even feel pain. Though far distanced from the training and conditioning of the icy northern wasteland of her upbringing with the Rheged, she still sees her role as a protector, a guardian, someone who stands on the front lines and fights to the end. Part of her wants to break off, grab up Sarah's light form and rush off, screaming for a priest. But the Rage is still driving the cart.
OOC: It is not her turn and we may still have to re-roll some of the attacks vs Briga to factor in the Advantage vs her due to Reckless attack, just some description of her mindset in this difficult moment.
OOC: I am not sure where we are at in the construct encounter. Is it Briga's turn again? I noted the construct likely needs to ensure it used advantage on the attacks vs Briga, it is up to the DM whether they wish to re-do or just go with the rolls as noted before.
OOC: Are we continuing with this game, DM? Do you think more recruitment is needed, or are the 4 players present sufficient? Do you think we should put it on hiatus? Life does happen, let me know your preference. I totally understand, whatever you decide.
OOC: I'm eager to find out as well. Tyrus has been wanting to make a dash for the door for quite a while now and I will be interested to find out if he survives.

Also waiting to see if Saralyssa makes it through this battle or not...
OOC: Agreed. I think there's a good chance this could result in a TPK as it is, as both the Niblewright and the Wererats seem like challenging encounters for the entire party, but I would rather see the game end in TPK if possible than not resolve it at all.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Sorry about the last week and a half or so - My charger set fire and I've been waiting for the replacement to turn up. The temporary computer I was using couldn't get into my emails so I couldn't get the verification code to log in on there, but now I'm back! Thanks for the reminder regarding the reckless, here's the Advantage rolls for that:

The first two are now hits, let me know the damage or I can go back and find it if it was posted in a prior post, and I will adjust her sheet. I will post Briga’s actions shortly. I assume we should consider Griff not present for the encounter?
OOC: DM, let me know if you plan to NPC Griff for this encounter and have him exit afterwards, or just proceed as if he is not here as of now - whether Griff is here or not would determine if Briga continues to attempt to slash away at the construct, or possibly pick up her unconscious ally and fall back.
[OOC: Thanks, DM. Not sure what the overall turn order is, but—except for a Death Save for Mairi—I'm pretty sure it is Tyrus's turn to act back in the tavern, so I'll state my turn actions now.]
With death, with its claws and whiskers so close, Tyrus will Disengage as his Action and, after seeing that Mairi is down, use his Bonus Action to cast Healing Word on her (verbal component only) in the hope that the wererats think she is no longer a combatant (Hopefully she will be able to sneak away next round).
Then, while yelling 'You b*****ds won't catch me' (to keep their attention on him), he will Move to the nearest door and, with his Free Object Interaction, open the door, go through it and close it again, while remaining just on the other side. He will then start calling for help with his hands still on the door knob.
[OOC: Now comes the tricky bit. What I would like him to try to do is use his Reaction to try to keep the door closed if/when the wererats try to come through it. DM, I will leave that up to you as to whether you will allow this.]

Tyrus First - give me an intimidation check for the taunt. Second, there is a way to do it, but to do it would require a held action. I'll let you decide that.
OOC: Yes, I did use that earlier damage roll of the 11 and 6 to apply the current damage, prior to resistance of course.
Briga sees Griff nowhere, Sarah is unconscious and likely to bleed out, and the construct is showing no signs of wear or fatigue. She believed it beyond her abilities alone. Briga moves to Sarah, sheathing her glaive and instead drawing a single javelin as she goes - likely provoking an attack of opportunity when she leaves the reach of the construct, if it didn’t already use its reaction - and then moved to scoop up Sarah in one arm, and moves as far as she can put towards the Main Street.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[OOC: I don't believe Tyrus has an Action to hold because he will have already done the Disengage to avoid the Attacks of Opportunity from the wererats when he makes a break for it. So just ignore the idea of using his Reaction and instead he will just use whatever is left of his Move—which is presumably not much—to get into the street. There is a vague hope that the wererats won't try to kill him in public.]
Tyrus's Intimidation roll: 8
[OOC: For the record, Tyrus's shout at the wererats was less Intimidation and more taunt to try to get their attention aware from Mairi, who he hopes will be able to slip aware now that the Healing Word has made her conscious again.]

Found it:
So Briga was now hit by all 3 attacks, for a total of 5, 3, and 3 damage after resistance, 11 total. I have updated her sheet.
