As the arrow comes out of the opposite slit, from the other side of the room Tyrus looks around not seeing the goblin as another small arrow slit stands about five feet on the wall opposite, about 3 inches wide and half an inch thick. He begins cursing in gnomish, for the moment the goblin reveals himself.
Arlon, being closet to the goblin, releases a fire bolt [ooc: as the spell does NOT state you need to see the creature, just that it is within range, that will still be possible]. Unfortunately, due to the narrow arrow slit, it only meets the reinforced concrete wall of the sewers.
Next Briga attempts to deal with the other goblin with her crossbow, but again the arrow slit provides enough cover for the goblin to not be affected by the released arrow.
Griffdar throws a spear at the arrow slit, trying to get through to the goblin on the other side, but is also unsuccessful as it bounces back off the wall and splashes into the one-foot-deep sewage water below.
The goblin then shoots another arrow at the now closest to the arrow slit, aiming for Briga.
(due to the circular nature of the room, getting out of sight would require five foot more of movement for Briga, however I will give you 3/4s cover, so that gives you a bonus 5 AC against the goblin)
Attack: 18 Damage: 7
The arrow releases just as Briga turns the corner, and getting out of sight from the arrow slit.
[OOC: Everyone is before the goblin, so will wait for y'all to post this time :)]
Tyrus keeps back, watching for attacks from other directions with a Vicious Mockery cantrip prepared [Perception Roll (if needed again): 16 ]. All this noise could attract unwanted attention.

AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
IC: Tyrus gets ready in case anybody else joins the fray. If they know, they are either too busy to deal with you or think that everything is handled as nobody else comes down the sewers. He gets himself ready to cast a spell in the case someone or something comes around the corner.
As Arlon curls his lips into a smile, he releases three arcane bolts of energy that pass through the arrow slit with no trouble, you hear a grunt as the three bolts hit the goblin simultaneously, followed by a thump as something hits the ground on the other side of the arrow slit. (Not gonna charge for javelin or crossbow bolt as the creature is dead)
Having dealt with the issue, the smell of the sewers starts to get to you all. The sewers continue both north and south, and there is also the door that you noticed before getting shot at on the west wall at this end of the south exit from this "hub".
"Everyone doing alright? I'm going to try the door." Briga glances at the door and area around it for traps, secret doors, or ambushes prior to opening the door on the west wall, or trying to open it.
The door is heavy, but Briga is able to open it without too much trouble. On the other side is a corridor going right, to the north - 15 feet to the end of which is another arrow slit, which would be in a similar location as the northwest slit in the original hub room you were in. There's a door leading to a room to the west just before the slit in the wall.
Carrying the hooded lantern, Tyrus will catch up to the others at the door. "Be careful," he says, "I still be thinking there's more goblins about."
Considering they've just been walking through the sewer, he uses the lantern to look for dried dirty footprints on the floor of the corridor to see if this is way that is commonly used, [Base D20 roll: 8 ; +3 if Perception or +1 if a Survival roll is required.]

Tyrus sees many different sets of footprints coming in and out of the door towards the west, though most of them are old tracks, and it's impossible to tell what type of humanoid left these tracks.
Stepping through the second door to the west, it leads to a passage leading to the left (south) and to the right (north). The passage south opens up into a room littered with rusty weapons and threadbare clothing. The Northern corridor continues ten feet before opening up into another room which can't be seen into from the northwestern door of the first corridor.
Tyrus mutters something in dwarvish under his breath and then says aloud, "It be making no sense. If it be important enough to have lookouts, why leave the door unlocked? And why not have someone manning the door checking those that come through. I still not be liking this."
He will then examine the door to see if it can be locked, and see if there is any reason why the door wasn't locked [Investigation roll 15 ].
Then, if there's time, Tyrus will investigate the 'rusty' weapons Griffdar mentioned to see if he might be able to use his dwarvish artisan skills to refurbish the weapons with his Tinker Tool kit so that they can be made into saleable items. [Intelligence or Wisdom Roll (both have same bonus): 2 ; an extra +1 if Investigation skill is useful.] Can he also tell if the weapons are of goblin make with this roll?
If there is any value in them, and there's time to do so, he will gather the useful items into a pile so he can collect them on the way out, if they come this way.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Who can say what their logic was? It's a sewer hideout. Maybe they usually have a lot more guards manning these areas and they lost a bunch of people in that Zhentarim v Xanathar gang skirmish earlier in the warehouse," Briga opines.
6 - Perception, as usual on the lookout for traps, ambushes, secret doors, et all.
Briga will then try to open the north door, after allowing Tyrus time to collect whatever he wants from the rusted weapon storage.
Tyrus has a look to see if the door was able to be locked, and it was. For some unknown reason, it was unlocked - maybe they weren't expecting uninvited guests? It's hard to say.
Having a look through, all of these weapons are old and rusted from water damage. It would be more expensive to buy the materials needed to restore them than to make a new blade from scratch. They aren't of goblin make, but contain standard daggers, shortswords and longswords that are covered in thick layers of rust.
The corridor to the north doesn't have a door to the next chamber, where you see a goblin with an arrow in its chest, unconscious on the floor. In the Northwest corner of the room, there is a staircase continuing down to the north leading to another corridor. The staircase travels about ten foot down.

"I assumed you already had a crossbow, Griff!" Briga responds, while taking her action.
She moved again to line up with the slit, fire her crossbow, then moves completely out of the way.
OOC: I am assuming that attack roll of 18 against me missed if I was receiving the bonus of 5 to AC from cover that you noted, is that correct?
16 Heavy crossbow attack roll
6 Piercing damage

Arlon lets a soft gasp as the fight ends.
"I'm hurt but still here ." he says. " Good thing I got those potions." he adds but doesn't drink one yet.
"Yeah, don't die on me, Arlon. We need you, man," Briga says. "We need all of you."
Briga will try the door further west, after waiting for her companions to regroup.
"No worries, I m planning on telling our tales and adventures to your grand kids... " he tries to laugh a bit but just hisses in pain. " Damn it."
He will drink that potion. 8

Briga will continue heading north, for the staircase, as it looks like the only path further into the complex.
