Griff sighs, "Well, we can't be leaving anyone around saying they saw us." Griff holds the point of his greatsword to the goblin's heart, "What about you, Tyrus, you speak his language?"

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Looking at the arrow, it was indeed one of the arrows that you shot at the goblin a few minutes ago.
The goblin seems unresponsive to you, maybe even deliberately so. The critter just doesn't seem to wake up no matter what you do. You can tell it's still breathing, and it's drooling at the mouth.
Continuing down the pathway down the stairs, those with darkvision can see the passage turns right to the east and then continues for 35 feet before opening into another chamber. Continuing cautiously down the passageway, you detect no traps.
"Well do whatever you think you need to, Griff, to make sure he doesn't give us away and put Floon in danger," Briga says, her words weighted with meaning. "Floon's life is still on the line and he's an innocent in all of this." She continues down the passageway, cautiously, as possibly one of the few lacking dark vision in the group.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Goblin!" says Tyrus taken aback by the question. "Why would any self-respecting dwarf speak goblin?"
Then, seeing Griffdar's intent, he says, "No, I don't speak goblin. So stab away, if it ain't already dead... And what about the one behind the other arrow slit? Do we know if it be dead?"
Tyrus will then try to orient himself and work out if the hidden room behind the other arrow slit could be connected to this set of rooms, or must it be connected to some other set of rooms (i.e., Is it on the other side of the sewer from here?) [Intelligence or Wisdom Roll (they both have the same bonus): 9 ].
He will also look around for the alarm he is hoping that the goblin lookout hasn't already set off. Lookouts must have ways to sound the alarm, it's what their job is [ 5 +3 if Perception, +1 if Investigation, is required].
Finally, if the rusted weapons in the other room aren't worth salvaging, and there is time, he will look at the weapons on the goblin? Does it have a dagger with good steel in it?
Entering the next chamber, there are six tattered, straw-stuffed mattresses laid out across the floor. In the southeast corner, there is a door on the Eastern wall. You can hear the sound of activity, like the moving of heavy objects, moving away to the east in the next room. There is a thin wooden door between the two rooms.
Briga approaches the south eastern door quietly, her weapon readied, and makes sure all of her companions are gathered together, braced and ready for combat, before opening the door.
Tyrus brings up the rear of the group, his hooded lantern opened barely a crack to provide a little light for those in the party who can't see in the dark.
However, he is very much aware that goblins, like dwarves, don't need light to see and that any such light will be a giveaway of intruders to the four unaccounted for goblins who must use this room as a barracks.
As the others prepare themselves to go through the door, Tyrus moves to the wall and places his lantern quietly on the floor with the hood completely closed so that no light can be seen. Then, with the sharp edge of his handaxe, he nicks the thumb of his left hand.
With blood oozing from the wound, he stands ready to see what awaits them on the other side of the door.
[OOC: DM, I didn't receive any answers to the questions in my last post. Was there an alarm system? And was the goblin's dagger worth taking. Any steel will have some value to a smithy.]

Tyrus Mountson: Lvl 3 Dwarvish Bard; Waterdeep Campaign (Dragon Heist) Nanoc the Younger: Semi-retired Lvl 2 Rogue / Level 2 Barbarian Human; The Knuckle, Mror Holds, Ebberon. The Honourable Jaden Fellan: Level 3 Human Eldritch Knight; Band of Sunswall
AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
IC: Tyrus having a look around doesn't seem to notice any sort of alarm system. It seems the security in this place was not very good. The dagger is a standard dagger, maybe worth a gold piece when melted down for reuse.
Peeking through the door to the next room, you see a grey dwarf dragging heavy furniture to a door, and a human male you all recognise from the tavern. The man with the tattoos on his head that picked a fight with a half-orc that didn't go so well for him. "It's not gonna work, Zemk" the figure says. You should put blankets down at the bottom of the door, the thing will be able to squeeze through otherwise," the human says to the grey dwarf. "Stop your complainin' Krentz and stop just saying things and actually do something! You go get the blankets and put them there!" Zemk replies. It doesn't seem like they have noticed you at this point.
[OOC: Tyrus will have taken the dagger for resale at some later date (have added it and its expected value to my character sheet). With regard to the lack of alarm system, Tyrus will now keep a lookout for signs of a magical alarm system, in place of the non-existent physical one. Unless the party are in the wrong place and these goblins are working on their own, he can't imagine why a thief or mercenary guild would have such shoddy security. Paranoid much is Tyrus. ;-)]
Arlon will follow Briga and be ready to cast a spell.
"Do any of you speak goblin? Griff says as he kneels behind the unconscious goblin.

"Sorry I don't. I don't have any spell that might be useful. With some luck that goblin knows a bit of common."
Arlon shrugs
Briga shakes her head. "Nope, I can speak a bit of dwarven, but my accent is terrible. No goblin though."
Griff sighs, "Well, we can't be leaving anyone around saying they saw us." Griff holds the point of his greatsword to the goblin's heart, "What about you, Tyrus, you speak his language?"

Briga continues to progress down the passageway, entering the chamber ahead.
Arlon will follow close behind, ready to give some support if he can.

Arlon is going to cast light on a coin and hold it in his hand to smother the light

Briga opens the door quickly and quietly. What does she, and the others, see?
If they see a threat Arlon will throw the light coin inside. He will say just before throwing "Eyes closed" loud enough for his companions to hear.
