After doing as much as he can for the injured, and with the tavern now being used for more serious activities, Tyrus will go around any patrons that still remain and give them each a scrap of paper with '1 free ale' written on it in common as well as the rune for 'Mountson' in dwarvish [OOC: DM, how many please? I hope not too many]. He then urges them to come back soon and ushers them out the door.
Having hopefully cleared the tavern of most of the bystanders, Tyrus approaches Saralyssa with her scrap of paper. "This was a terrible thing to have happen during our opening, Mistress," he says to her politely in gnomish. "But please don't let it put you off coming back... At least here we don't have ravenous trolls, blood-sucking stirges and a gaping hole in the floor that might let other monstrosities in at any time, so it should usually be a nice safe place to come and drink once all this excitement is over."

Briga sighs, saying, "Yeah, Mairi. I think we have to. Gotta talk about the exploding elephant just outside the room. What in the hells and the abyss happened there. Anyone have any ideas? Mairi, Sara - hope I can call you Sara - you guys were talking to some of the locals. Any clues? You, Tyrus? Griff, you did a great job getting that under control and helping out those people. I just kind of froze up there. Real fearless heroic barbarian, here."
The child nods and takes the gold, offering the necklace in exchange.
"You have offended me, and I will tell the watch, unless you have a badge, I do not need to speak to you," the noblewoman says after turning around to address you as you ask the question, and continues walking away from Mairi as she gets called over by the rest of the group.
"That's pretty interesting, Sara. Might be a clue. Does anyone know if this is important? Mairi, did you learn anything from that noblewoman?" Briga adds to Tyrus, "Elephant in the room is just one of those things people say around here, just a turn of phrase I picked up. No actual exploding elephant out there. I think so, anyway."
"Since we can probably rule out exploding elephant, anyone have any idea what actually did cause that?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mairi snorts, only to immediate cover up her mouth. "... A-ahem... mn.. Sorry. Just the idea of an exploding elephant tickled me wierdly."She smiled sheepishly. "But that aside, and maybe me being in a spot of trouble again for being too nosy -- well, I did learn one thing. And that being the culprit not likely being normal like us, and having thrown something before the big Kaboom."Mairi admitted with a sigh towards the end. After a moment passes however, she quickly does a double take at the necklace.
"May I?" She would ask, if noone else had already offered, and look over the necklace before handing it back. "Curious... Very curious. And likely evidence you may or may not want to hold on to. Perhaps even the source of the blast, assuming it wasn't just some happenstance drop off by some random thief in the alley."
“Do you guys think it was a fireball, like a magic spell type fireball, and maybe that necklace had something to do with it? See what you can find out I guess,” Briga says.
“Look, I know it’s kind of presumptuous of me, but you both seem to know your way around these things, you helped out, and you kept a level head. We’ve got people dropping fireballs right outside our tavern. We can’t just let this slide. We would be terrible amateur heroes if we did. Mind helping out a little more? I mean, that’s really all that separated me, Tyrus and Griff here, and Arlon, wherever he went, from the other people drinking at the Yawning Portal when that troll attacked. We were the people who stepped up when danger climbed out of a hole. Maybe that’s all it takes, and maybe you two can be heroes a little longer, while we work this mystery out?”
As Saralyssa is going about the casting of her spell, Tyrus politely says to her in gnomish, "Excuse me, but if it's of any use, I know the Identify ritual."

As the ritual comes to an end, and Saralyssa finishes her ritual. As her eyes open and the weave becomes visible to her, the necklace glows with an aura of evocation magic.
Meira initially answers Briga with a strained smile just prior to opening her mouth to say something. But the rejection snags in her throat. After a moment or two of mutely of furrowed brows and lip chewing, she lets out a defeated sigh alongside a few nods. "Look, I'm not much for the hero business. They usually don't last very long, and I like breathing far too much."She admitted, a small and apologetic smile toughing her lips. "But, what I do know is that you either have to be a complete madman, a fool, or a rather bold one to dare to do something as brazen as throwing fireballs in the city all willy nilly!"She adds, counting off points on her fingers.
"... But! This is does have the making of a good story, and I've never been good at resisting those. So.... count me in! If y-you'll have me after all that."Is all Mairi says, blissfully ignorant of the gnomish tongue.

“Getting involved with these things is a risk, Mairi. It always is. I wouldn’t want to have you being hurt on my conscience from bullying you into something you’re not ready for,” Briga says. “I think you might be braver than you think you are. You can make it about the story, that’s fine, but the safe thing to do was to stay inside. There was one explosion. There could have been another. You figured out that a spell caster blew up a city street with a fireball. That mage could have had a second fireball up their sleeve, or something worse.”
”You too, Sarah. You both made a call to step up. Maybe I’m taking this fate thing too far. I met some great comrades when a few of us stepped up to danger. Maybe I’m wrong about history repeating itself. But it might also be that sometimes it takes something like that for you to see something in yourself you never would have recognized otherwise: heroism.”
”Ask Tyrus if he ever would have seen himself as a hero, and I can guess his answer. Any of us can be more than we think we are. I could be totally wrong, seeing it in the two of you, and I wouldn’t hold it against either of you if you backed away from this right now. I never would have seen myself as a knight, but here I am, a woman from the frozen north in a peasants dress, and I’ve been formally knighted. If others see something great in you, maybe you owe it to yourself to take a second look in the mirror. Maybe there’s a hero staring at you.”
In response to Brigga's mention of him, Tyrus just grunts and says, "As a hero, I make a pretty good barman... Speaking of which..."
At this point, Tyrus hurries away to see if the coins he stashed away are still secure. If nothing has happened to them, he will take them out of the taproom and leave them in a more secure place somewhere else in the tavern before coming back.

(Will respond to others after I hear from the DM on the interaction with the child. Need that finished before I know what Saralyssa does next...)
OOC: Yeah, sorry to confuse the timeline.
[OOC: If Saralyssa is still outside, then Tyrus would be approaching Mairi instead and would have likely heard Briga's comments to her.
"There was being an olifant outside?" he exclaims. "Are ye sure? I did not be seeing any of its bits and pieces."

Saralyssa looks over the necklace closer as she returns to the group as well.
