Brom would look at the food and barrels with a slight bit of suspicion he didn't like it, no one was here but theres half eaten food and the tracks came here. "be on Guard everyone" Brom would pull out his hammer and sheild and approach one of the barrels checking inside.
Nate, you poke and pull and manage to find where some of the Redbrands had hidden their wages... or their spoils. In any case, you turn up a total of 18 gold, 88 silver and 148 copper pieces.
You all gather in the room with the cistern. There are steps leading up, but aside from that, the only place you have not yet explored is the area north of the Redbrands' gaming room.
Nate shows the coins to the party. "Guys... this is quite the haul. I found all of this in the Redbrands beds. I'll keep a hold of it until we get back to see if it might belong to someone."
He snatches up the coins and then says: "Doesn't look like there's anyone here. Let's go check that door up where the game room was."
Nate will let his comrades finish up their inspections and then will head back through the hall, jump over the pit, through the cavern room hoping the creature doesn't try and talk to them and then remembers what Delmon said the previous door and will take a listen to the door that we haven't opened yet instead of barging in.
He will be at the middle of the pack when the party heads out, spear at the ready.
Brom, you haven't heard anyone in the town talk about people who were taken, although it's not something you discussed with many people.
Nate, you reach the door, with the party following you. Listening, you don't hear anything coming from behind it, at least not immediately. Make a Perception check.
"Hard to tell Brom. We might have to come to terms with the unfortunate reality that a number of the folk that were taken were... [Leo pauses before continuing] put to the sword."
Nate looks to Leo and Brom "Hmmmm.... well I'd hate to know the fate of the person who might've seen their last days down with that... thing. Seems it must be sleeping right now or something as I haven't heard it in my mind since we just went through it. Maybe we can head down there once we check out the rest of this place."
Nate, you hear a slight bubbling sound from the other side of the door, as though liquid were boiling. Very slight, though. And no sound of any creatures.
Nate, this room appears to be a wizard’s workshop. A rat scurries across the floor and takes refuge under a large worktable set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of it stewing and bubbling away, though it looks as though it hasn't been tended in the last few minutes - one pan has clearly burned dry and is starting to smoulder slightly. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchment and strange-looking tomes. There is another door in the corner.
"All seems quiet in there... ok one of you big guys can open this one! We might have to go back to the cavern as one last stop to make sure there are no others, but let's see what's in here."
Nate half cowers and half gets into a ready stance with his spear gripped tight with two hands waiting for one of his comrades to open the door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Delmon will look about the room at a glance as he moves up to the door in the corner. (Perception: 9 Looking for large containers, dresser, wardrobe, chest that someone could hide in.) Once he reaches the door in the corner, he nods at Nate and opens the door.
Delmon, around the room there are some scattered books and a few shelves with books on them, but nothing large enough to hide a person. You get the sense that the person who was working here was trying to make potions of some kind; anyone with proficiency in Arcana can attempt to figure out what, if you like.
You find a book on one shelf that looks particularly well used, and has several bookmarks in it. You open it, but it's in dwarvish. (Does anyone in the party speak Dwarvish?).
You open the door, enter look into a room that could not be more different to what you have seen before. The walls of this bedchamber are covered with drapes of scarlet cloth. The furnishings include a small writing desk with matching chair, a comfortable-looking bed, and a wooden chest at the foot of the bed. The drapes, furniture and whole effect is of luxury and opulence; it's easy to surmise that this is where the leader of the Redbrands lived. However, there is no sign of an occupant now.
You do see that there is an opening in the far wall; not a door as such, and if it were not open you might not have noticed it. It's a panel that has opened up, large enough for someone to exit through.

Leo will return to Delmon and any others at the entrance to the room with the cistern.
"Looks like the way is clear ahead. I think this is the Redbrand's food and water stores. Nothing much out of the ordinary."

Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
Brom, you manage to open the barrel fairly easily, taking your time not to damage it. You find that it's full of iron nails.
Nate looks over to Brom and grips his spear tightly, readying himself, listening to the Goliath.
He will use his spear to poke at the beds and rummage through the blankets to see if he can find anything/clues.

Whenever the party gets to the caravan room, Nate will ask the others "Guys do you think a prisoner might be down there?"
"it could be worth checking we want to be sure we find all those who was taken... do we know how many was taken?"

Perception check for the door 22
Nate, you hear a slight bubbling sound from the other side of the door, as though liquid were boiling. Very slight, though. And no sound of any creatures.
"Sounds empty everyone... actually I think I hear something cooking... it might be their kitchen!? Let's go...."
Nate will slowly open the door normally and head in.

"Hmmmm I think someone was here recently..." Nate will take a listen to the door in the corner to see if he can hear anyone perhaps hiding in there.
