Zeph would cast dancing lights before drawing his crossbow and keeping his eyes peeled for threats. Sending the spheres of light around the room, he would hold one above the triton, casting light upon the prisoner.
Carefully moving forward Zin approaches the triton shackled to the wall.
Just as Zin starts to moves toward the prisoner something moist, green and slimy drops from the ceiling above onto ZIn. He immediately feels a burning sensation as he takes (1) HP of acid damage.
Zin immediately tries to brush the green slime off of him as he looks up to where the slime came from. Is it some ooze monster about to fall on him? If he can't see anything more he'll continue to move towards the Triton.
"Watch the passageway that runs west." He calls over his shoulder to the others. "The figure we saw likely went that way."
Tiro looks up at the ceiling but keeping one eye on the sea elf, as I don't know who to trust yet. I listen to the voices to see if I can work out how many of them there are. I'm ready to use my feet and legs as necessary for defence.

"What's down there? Find anything?!" Zeph would shout down the stairwell, controlling the dancing lights and keeping his crossbow focused on the darkness below.
Zin immediately tries to brush the green slime off of him as he looks up to where the slime came from.
Zin - can you provide more details on how you go about brushing the slime off. As you look up at the ceiling you can distinguish what looks like another patch over the passageway heading west.
Zin uses a waterskin to pour water into the slime to wash it off and use his sleeve trying not to touch it with his skin.
The Green Slime does not seem to readily wash off but by using his sleeve, Zin is able to scrap the little bit that got him (it only did 1HP of damage after-all) off. However where it touched the slime his sleeve has huge holes in it.
Keeping a careful watch above him Vhon follows Zin and getting to Triton waits for his answer before asking "How many of them are there here, are we outnumbered?"

My name is Tirohia te Moana, but just call me Tiro. I think I counted 11, mostly human, but they did have a couple of hobgoblins. I've just finished my training and left home to save the world. Instead, I was caught by slavers who manacled me here while they sorted themselves out. They also said something about an ambush, but I couldn't work the rest of it out.
"Shame about your shirt," Tyro says to the sea elf, "but it was starting to look a bit tatty anyway."
Any chance you could let me down from here and help me find my gear? And by the way, who are you and what are you doing down here?

"Good idea Zin." Vhon turns back to where the others are. "Come down, we've made a new friend, I think, but be careful there is some slime dripping from the ceiling, seems acidic."
Vhon then moves carefully back to the Triton "We'll get you out, Vhon's the name, me and the lads are here to put a stop to these people that have you locked up. We aren't really the sort to save the world, we are more the other guys, the ones you call on to investigate creepy houses but we are always looking to move up, if you want to come along for the ride you are more than welcome. What sort of training did you mean by the way, hopefully something that could help us out, if you've just finished your training in bookkeeping I suggest sticking at the back, at least to start off with." He says with a wink, before signalling to the group coming down to be careful with the slime above them.

Is it possible for Gilly to use a combination of his prestidigitation and shape water to clean/move the acid so it doesn't drip on anybody else?
The spell lets you reshape 1 cubic foot of material. As the slime occupied an area of 25 square feet and was on average 0.5 inches deep that is close enough to one cubic foot so go for it to your heart's content. You could shape it into a ball or anything that takes Gilly's fancy.

If he's able, Gilly fires a bolt at the green slime!
Crossbow attack: 22, damage: Unable to parse dice roll. piercing damage
Gilly is still back on the stairs when he hears Zin's muffled yell and is not in a position to fire!

Floki turns his head back to look at the commotion. "Everything alright guys? Or do we need to take a quick break? Captain?" he whispers back.

Zin grimaces at the hole in his shirt. First a shipwreck and now slime has put holes on his shirt. I'd better buy some new clothes soon.

"Slavers eh? We're here to clear out slavers."
Zin recalls the time he was once shackled like this in the hold of a ship. It angers him to see this man tied up. This anger is reflected in his face.
He examines how Tiro is tied up to see if he can release him.
"Cap'n, lets get the others down here. Just watch that slime dripping from the ceiling."
He then gets an idea and wonders if he could use the acidic slime to burn the chains and release Tiro.
