Bernard regards the blood and general state of the returning party, before putting his hand on Quodithas' shoulder. "I think it best to leave them to rest a few days, my friend. I am sure we can find another couple of layabouts who can help us."

(OOC: I actually want to stay with Shadow Hunters but Yuno on the other hand would be itching to battle bandits for backstory related reasons)
When Bernard asks about finding others to help with the Bandit problem, Yuno speaks nervously, "I... I want to help! I want to help fight the b-bandits. Bandits killed... my sister. I don't want more like them to hurt anyone else."
Quodithas considers Bernard's words for a few moments, then speaks softly. "Forgive me if I spoke out of turn, it is not my place to speak for either you or Janter." He shakes his head softly. "Apologies, but it seems to me that these 'layabouts' are lacking in drive, skills, or ambition... Though it's true that any hand can swing a weapon, those without proper training are often more burden than boon. Mayhaps it would be wise to wait a few days for these who have already been tested in battle to rest and spend the time gathering more information?"
(OOC Quodithas hasn't considered that this group is anything other than a posse responding to notices on the board, he's not trying to break them up or deter them from their purpose)
"I'm sorry for your loss" He smiles gently at Yuno.
(@ShadowHunters & Newcomers: Since Biri needs /at least/ a day to prepare, I'm at least fine with her staying on the bench for a while. That way the rest of the party and newcomers can get to adventuring again sooner. Unless we lost Sanzor too, and I missed it. In which case, even less of a worry of breaking the 6 man limit.)

He looks from person to person, checking for obvious injuries.
You see a tall, lanky human who looks like he should be nowhere near a fight visibly limping and holding his shoulder, but he does not ask for any aid. He stays back and observes the discussion before speaking up "It may be wise to team up. If you are willing to give me the night to rest I will come along in the morning."
"We should determine a proper course of action, the morning may not yet see us adequately prepared, but your assistance will be welcome." He shakes his head and smiles wryly. "Forgive me my lack of manners." He bows deeply, and the amulet suspended from his neck on a chain swings forward. It is a small white fist clad in a gauntlet. "I am Quodithas, servant of Torm."
He's a lithe half-elf clad in clean, well maintained chain mail, head shaved smooth, hazel eyes squinting against the sun. There is a mace slung through a ring on his belt and a shield currently slung over his shoulder.
"I am not the decider of these matters, I have just arrived and would not presume to dictate to anyone."
Bernard steps forward, plants the butt of his pike into the dirt and offers his hand. "Bernard Churchmire." He then takes a small wine skin from his backpack and offers it around the returning party - they look like they need it.

"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." -Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
Elwin eyed the board as he approached the gate to the keep. He smiled as he slowed, recognizing the postings: bounties! And quite a number! He could barely restrain his broad grin at the thought of finally being able to make serious use of some of his patron's magic.
The young man raised his empty right hand, palm up, and concentrated as he murmured a few arcane words. Immediately motes of white light appeared, spinning around his hand, to finally coalesce into a tiny illusion: a stack of gold coins. It was a well-practiced cantrip, and it had its uses, but now.... The illusion vanished as he closed and then dropped his hand. His left adjusted the spear it held against his shoulder, shifting the weight of the backpack looped to it and pressing on his back. He wasn't tiring from the load yet, but adjusting it every now and then, ensuring it was there, still felt... comforting.
Even after two years of preparation, of training and then acquiring what he needed, carrying around his equipment still left him feeling a bit exposed. The contents of his backpack held more possessions than he'd ever owned as a street urchin, and even though it was unlikely anyone would simply run up and try to steal his property anymore... the background thought, the habits such caution formed, persisted anyway. Had he tried to keep such things before he ran across the soldier....
Elwin shook his head at the brief reverie, his grin softened to a smile. All that was in the past. He was a proper man now, fit and strong (if a little undersized,) and more than capable of holding his own. And with his patron's power and assistance, new opportunities that he had only dreamed of beckoned toward him. He had only to bravely stand and fight for them, either alone or alongside others--whichever was needed.
Resolved to succeed, the young warlock continued through the gate, and entered the keep.
Janter looks over the returned group with wonder. "I don't think I am in such a hurry to be bruised and bloodied that another quiet night couldn't be enjoyed. Though, if some of us are to venture out sooner, this fellow walking into the keep looks as fresh as me. The more the merrier, they seem to say, except for uncle Waflo who always sulks in the corner."
"You there! by the gate. With the fading handful of coins. Are you as new an arival as I?" He shouts to the man entering the gates. "what say you to helping with some pesky thieves, and getting some real coin of your own?"

It took Elwin a second, and a glance around to confirm he was alone passing through the gate, for him to realize he was being addressed. He smiled. If they were as interested in coin as he was, this would work out just fine.
"'Ey!" he loudly replied to the shout, adding a slight nod. "Looks like you's already gettin' a party together, eh. Need anotha' hand?" He adjusted his weapon again. "Or spear, as it ma' be?"
He approached, trying to figure out who all exactly was in his new friend's group. "Name's Elwin," he said in the general direction of the bunch. He then smiled broadly, almost proudly. "Elwin Cold."

"Kosh." The pale young man offers as a name. "Kosh Halakosh."
He raises a hand in refusal of the wine, "Sorry. Not until The Work is complete."

Me, Myself, and I
(when shouting, he looks to see if he can see any suspicious reaction to anyone around, in case they may be informants to the thieves)
Me, Myself, and I
(You're checking people outside of the PCs right? Or are you checking the PCs too?)
(he doesn't know anyone yet, so looks for any suspicious reacions)
Me, Myself, and I
You don't see any suspicious reaction from Yuno but you feel that something isn't quite right about her. Not sure what though.
"If you don't mind me asking, what were you all fighting that caused so much damage? Are you all sure nobody needs medical attention?"
