"Down we go..." Taman says, a bit less enthusiastic than Three. He moves to the ladder and looks it over, trying to see how slippery it might be, prior to starting down it.
"That's uh... that's uh pretty deep ain't, Mr. Thimblebum?"Three comments from just behind the gnome as she peered down into the depths. "Pretty crazy, right? Good thing boss man made with these." Three takes a moment to pack away her boots, so that after a bit of flexing, nails, bones, and even flesh shifted into claws and gecko-like pads for her to climb onto the walls and start to descend along side the ladder a short ways. Such was a her plan at least....
"Down we go, yea?"She asks of the others before getting too far down.
(OOC: Three has a natural climb speed equal to her walking speed 40ft)
@Three please give me 3 Athletics checks.

You head back to the ladder and are standing near the edge of a cliff with a long fall down, should you misstep. You hear the rushing of water as the river to the West is flowing down into the chasm.
The stream running through the old dwarven bladeworks meanders through a natural cavern before tumbling into the great chasm. You can see nothing but darkness below, although the splashing of waters deep below is barely audible over the roar of the waterfall.
Thistle. Darkvision. He looks around seeing what's what. Some Guidance please. Perception: 5
You can only see just a little ways into the darkness of the cavern, along with the top part of the ladder.

Everyone descends the ladder, except for Three, who slides down scrabbling for a hold onto the rocks for about 30-40 feet before she finally gets a solid grip and is able to make it down the shaft. As you each reach the bottom, you notice:
A thundering spray of water fills this chamber, pooling and flowing out to join a larger river to the north. the air is damp, and the roar of the waterfall is deafening. A broad ledge heads north toward the river and then turns out of sight to the east. the muddy bank of the pool looks disturbed by tracks of some kind.

Despite the close call at the start, Three reaches the bottom looking just as chipper as ever as she dusts off her slowly shifting back digits. It's not until after she's got her boots back firmly on as well that she truly begun taking in the sights and looked to be in awe. She suddenly startles and looked about worriedly, before then finally turning back to the others, motioning from her eyes to their surroundings in warning.
Hoping that to be enough, her attention turns to their surroundings as she'd proceed to warily travel along the center most point of the ledge, figuring their next destination would lie in that direction.

Rivon gets to the bottom of the ladder and looks at the point that Three indicated, trying to see if he can determine the source of the tracks. However, Rivon cannot recall what may have left these tracks.
Three heads towards the northern part of the landing, where she notices:
A fast moving underground river roars from east to west under a stone bridge. The bottom of the chain ladder is near the south bank of the river. On the north side of the bridge, a ledge continues to the east.
on the eastern side is the water fall from the river above and a small, but fast moving, river the travels north to meet the other river. Across the river is another narrow ledge that leads south to the waterfall, and north towards the bigger river. At either end of the ledge, it looks as if there is an opening.

Half deafened if not completely so by the nearby falls, Three squints at Rivon for a moment or two before grinning and giving him two thumbs up. Then in typical Three fashion, she looks to the options before the group and started to point towards each them in quick succession while singing a song too to really understand the lyrics. She pauses at least twice with brows in frustration each time before picking up the song again, seeming to start over each time.
For better or worse, the Chimera at least seemed too distracted to go wandering off ahead while Taman scouted things out with his owl(?).

Taman, looking through his familiar's eyes grabs onto the closest person (to keep his balance) as his familiar flies over to the other ledge to look around. it goes to the closest opening (south) and flies around noticing a few smaller crevices in the wall, then following along to the north to emerge out of the opening to the north. He also noticed another path continuing to the northwest, following the river.

"If we go that way..." Taman points, still keeping his eyes shut, there is a path that goes northwest and follows the river. Shall we head that wayfirst?"
"Huh?"Three perks up and regards Taman. Seeing him point to the northwest and presuming them to be orders more than a suggestion, the chimera happily heads for the northwestern path, leaping over whatever stream or river happened to be in the way if need be, so long at wasn't more than ten or so feet at a glance. If it comes to that though, she'd stop and make sure others are able to make the same journey(backing away as necessary for room), before continuing to lead the exploration along the path.

Rivon studies the tracks, using his, uhh, years of outdoor experience to deduce their nature.
Survival: 10
Or perhaps Nature: 12
(The dice never lie!)
Taman lets the others move out in front of him, taking up the rear position as they move along the ledge.

Taman closes his eyes, then sends his familiar to scout the ledge more closely, looking through his familiar's eyes.
"I think these tracks are either a Tyrannosaurus Rex, or possibly a duck."
