Rivon, not being at all familiar with the jungle and therefore not knowing how long bodies take to start rotting, is on high alert. As the others probe the corpse, he tucks into the shadow of a tree, bow at the ready and watches for trouble.

Three is very much the epitome of a tourist, minus the annoying question every 15 or so minutes, as she's prone to nearly wandering off the path or stopping to look at greater length the more dazzling bounties the jungle had to show right from the start! Though after only a couple of hours, her mood did begin to sour to the point of grumbling about the heat...
"Hmm~ I don't think there's any chance we'd be able to cut out enough good bits from that one, huh?"Three commented on the frog, and in presumption of it being safe enough, even approached the general area about it to examine it first more closely, and then area around it. "Hm! I wonder if this is the work of the batari all those guides back then were talking about back then?"
-Searching for Tracks: 18. (Namely looking to see if there's any signs of other humanoids having recently been in the area near the body)

Three looks around for tracks and finds some small humanoid tracks possibly belonging to a young Dwarf, or possibly a Halfling.
Shere says "Not the hilt?" Thinking of the rotted flesh, he immediately uses his mage hand and his dagger to open the wound further.
Shere uses his Mage Hand to open the wound further and a partially digested body of a Halfling falls out of the frog, still holding the shortsword in its grip, though just barely.

"Uhhhhh... Not... technically?"Three shrugged. "Boss warned me I shouldn't use the old meat puppet technique, because its very, very rude and disrespectful.... And also because most people would get very, very, VERY upset if I did that."On that note, Three took to rooting about her pack in anticipation of being asked for a shovel or the next closest thing. Neither of which she had, but that hadn't stopped her from keeping busy for a bit.

Shere steps into the woods to keep a hidden eye out and as he's finding a good spot to hide, just barely notices the sticky purplish sap leaking from the tree that he was just about to lean his hand against.
Rivon, searches the body and doesn't recognize the Halfling, or the clan that he came from, but does find a small pendant and chain around its neck (both made of gold) and a small pouch hanging, jus barely, from his belt.
Fujin goes over to help Rivon and notices that the Halfling has a small white tattoo of a scorpion on his inner right wrist and a dagger that was hidden under a wrist guard on his left forearm.
All around you hear the sounds of he jungle: the birds singing, the insects buzzing, the wind rustling the leaves of the trees. Off in the distance, the deep bellows of some of the larger dinosaurs. As you're investigating the body of the Halfling, Rivon suddenly notices that the sounds have all stopped with the exception of the wind rustling the leaves in the trees.
Flask of Wine also notices the lack of sound and quickly and with a loud whisper says "HIDE!" as she then ducks into some of the bushes near the dead frog.

In a moment of panic brought on more so by others over the actual sound of approaching dinosaurs, Three glances about for the tallest tree she could find in the heat of the moment. Then not unlike some lizards or geckos, she quickly scaled it in hopes of finding safety among the boughs, forgetting in her haste just the sheer size the beast of Chult! However, short of someone having snagged her ahead of time and dragged her into a different hiding spot, the humanoid chimera would have to make due hoping the thick greenery above and the fragrant scents of the area overpowered her no doubt alien one for the time being!

Toot Toot quietly flies up to Three, touching their shoulder and casting Vigilant Blessing (advantage on next initiative role) and then draws his crossbow.
As everyone hides in the bushes and amongst the trees, a loud crashing sound comes from the forest behind Toot Toot as he starts to fly into the forest and coming face to face with a huge dinosaur. The dinosaur just barely noticing Toot Toot for his size, snorts a blast of air from its large nostrils.
(Toot Toot - please give me a DEX save.)
This huge lizard-like creature might be comical if it didn't look so dangerous. Its body seems to be built so that its tail provides balance for its enormous toothy maw - two powerful legs act as a fulcrum. Tiny arms, hardly long enough to scratch its chin, twitch and quest the air near the base of its neck.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex, continues to lumber through the forest, heading for Fujin as he struggles to stop the shaking of the bush he's hiding in and forgetting that the quick movements of his arms and torso cause the chainmail he's wearing to make loud metallic noises. The Tyrannosaurus stops just in front of where Fujin is at, bending down and starting to sniff. As it gets closer to Fujin, it seems as if its attention has just been drawn elsewhere. It turns slightly, spotting the dead frog and Halfling, and being a creature of opportunity, slams its right leg down on the Halfling and bending over to take a bite; ripping the body in half, it moves back up to a full standing position as it lifts its head to swallow the morsel it just plucked from the ground. It bends down to grab the remaining half.

"Well, that solves that problem I guess," Rivon thinks to himself. As he draws the obsidian string on his duskwood bow, a spectral arrow appears out of nowhere, nocked and ready to fire.
Rivon waits to see if his team is going to engage or hide. At the first sign of battle, he'll pincushion the lizard.

Though startled at first seeing the great size of the beast, Three went on a small emotional rollercoaster as it proceeded to sniff dangerously close to Fujin's "hiding spot", before eventually finding herself looking on enviously as it chowed down on the remains. What bit of drool began to slip out she'd soon enough wipe away to focus on looking for the others, and then try handsignaling a question of 'Sneak Away or Beat up?'
