Tallow moves to line up the two sahuagin attacking Wakka, and using some of his sorcerous power to protect his allies, flings a line of caustic liquid! (DC16 Dex: B4: 14 -- C1: 9.) If they fail, they drop to the ground thrashing about in anguish as they die a quick, but horrible death!
Ronkur swings at C3, his gauntlets crackling and booming with arcane energy. The first attack misses, but the follow-through drops the monster!
The last 2 sahuagin make a break for it - disengaging and diving into the pool, ending the combat!!
The light from the clam fades, leaving you standing in the silence with only your own lights. Exploring the connected caves, Genren notices a boulder atop the 10-foot-high platform in this room mostly covers a small hole. He sees the edges of the hole around one side of the boulder. A character can move the boulder to get to whatever is beneath with a successful DC 13 Strength (Athletics) check. The priestess had a shark tooth-covered staff that could be used as a melee weapon (deals 2d8 piercing damage). The sahuagin blademasters all wore a uniquely designed set of plate armor and a shield, and carried a sword that looked part trident, part cutlass (deals 2d8 slashing damage). You can recover 2 sets of armor and 3 swords to keep or turn in to the Guild armory.
"This is amazing Manfred!" Tallow looks around the hut. "I have a jug that can give us a lot of beer if anyone needs help getting to sleep or just a nice cup of tea. Ya want some?
(Are the swords light and/or finesse in property?) Genren hops down from the ceiling and examines the corpses. “No wonder the town has been demolished. They’re so many of them and these weapons look well made as well…. But why?”
The hole beneath the rock contains a black pearl worth 500 gp, plus a pile of 1,321 sp and 426 gp. The swords are neither light nor used for finesse work. A crude journal inscribed on an old piece of driftwood seems to indicate the sahuagin priestess believed they were doing the work of their goddess, Sekolah, by raiding the village.

Ronkur turns the strange trident blade over in his hands, checking the balance and the heft. He then pulls out his ani-tool and begins examining the material and the crafting in detail, lost in the strange and alien design.
Once satisfied he's learned all he could (albeit all of something of limited value) he turns to the plate armor and does the same, checking the joints and the fittings, searching for weaknesses in the design and anything he can learn from its craftsmanship.
Investigation 23 (with flash of genius)
Making his way towards the magical hut, the gnome squeezes a bead on the inside of his left gauntlet and the massive suit of armor splits, folds, and collapses in on itself until all that is left is an oversized iron gauntlet on his left hand. The tiny gnome has no trouble slipping into the Tiny Hut, looking about appreciatively as he does, impressed with Manfred's creation. He nods to the bard and accepts the proffered jug of beer from the strange little .... chef, but keeps his counsel to himself, muttering quietly under his breath and fidgeting with a small puzzle ball in his gauntleted fist.
“I think we need to make sure the rest of these caves are completely cleared… that said I wonder what that priestess was doing, a ritual perhaps?” Genren crouches down and sits in the hut as he pulls out a healing potion. “Anyone need some healing in the immediate?”
Ronkur's keen insight and investigation reveal that both weapons and armor are cleverly crafted to allow combat underwater - they are streamlined and close-fitting. They are surprisingly not any lighter than plate armor he is familiar with, speaking to the exceptional strength and swimming ability of the blademasters to wear this underwater.
(Barring any other conversations/actions, you can peacefully pass the night (long rest) here in the hut.)
‘So… I think we need to make these caves inhospitable to make sure they know not to come back, and make sure we search the rest of the caves to make sure there aren’t any prisoners left alive..?’ Manfred sighs, looking around ‘I think my magic could make quite a dent here, but lets make sure we’ve cleared it out first…’
Ronkur nods his head as Manfred speaks, squeezing a bead on the inside of his gauntlet and leaping up into the air as his armor surrounds him.
Two small plates slip off the back of his armor and float underneath his boots, a modification of the familar broom of flying that better suited his needs.
Turning back to the rest of the adventurers, the armored gnome calls out 'Let's be about it then, up and out sleepy heads!'
The severed heads of six humans on spears line the south wall of this cavern. The bodies of these humans are thrown at the back of the cave.
Clam Cavern
(Your current location and where you stayed in the magical hut.) A large clam made of coral stands atop a 10-foot-high cliff, filling this chamber. The clam stopped shedding light when you killed the priestess (I forgot to put that in when it happened...). At the center of the chamber a 10-foot-deep pool is filled with seawater.
Training Cavern
A boulder atop the 10-foot-high platform in this room mostly covers a small hole where the sahuagin hid their treasure.
Ritual Cavern
A circle of sahuagin symbols are drawn in blood around the bones of a giant shark.
’First thing first…’ says Manfred, more somber than usual. Using Mage Hand he removes the heads from the spears, and pairing them with their bodies, he uses Mending to reattach the heads to the bodies, so they can be interred or cremated decently…
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Genren heads to the ritual room to copy down the symbols and see if he can find any clues while he's at it. He inspects the room thoroughly (perception: 16 ) he whispers to himself "Could they be sacrificing people for some reason? Gods I hope this isn't blood magic..."
The bodies of the humans were covering a patch of floor where the glyph of warding spell was cast. Checking them and trying to reattach their heads trigger the glyph, and it erupts with magical thunder in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on it. Each creature in the area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 thunder damage on a failed saving throw, or half as much damage on a successful one. The glyph disappears after it is triggered. (So Manfred and Ronkur were in the blast radius for sure...if your character would have been close by, please make a saving throw!)
The symbols around the shark skeleton are magical in nature (Genren, give me an Arcana check!)

‘I think you can manage this easily, Wakka, while I rustle up somewhere safe to rest…’ Manfred says (1d6 bardic inspiration for Wakka).
’Gather round everyone…’ he continues, before casting Leomund’s Tiny Hut as a ritual, making sure everyone is included in the spell.
Tallow attempts to move the boulder. 16

‘Some beer would be good, thanks Tallow. That was a tough fight - I didn’t like those close quarters. I’ll have to get some practice in.’
Manfred gives out a long sigh. ‘I think we need to either burn or bury these caves, or the village won’t be safe. Any ideas?’

‘You won’t need potions. It’s safe to rest here…’ says Manfred, idly strumming his lute ‘Nothing else can enter without my permission…’

(DEX ST: 21)
Manfred spots the distinctive runes at the last moment, diving out of the way to avoid the worst of the damage…
’Damn, that hurt!’ he swears ‘I’m going to make a point of paying those scum a visit when we’re better prepared…’
