"We can't risk flaming any innocents. Do you have anything that might just disorient them so we can charge in and get the jump on em? Or Salty, could you cast an illusion in there if you peek through the key hole?"
“Other than a fire ball all I have left is to send them a message or make the door light up that’s all I have left used up majority of my strength on asstaff and my current disguise.”
"That might be it! Larno was a wizard. They would know that. How does message work? Could you send them an order in Goblin like, "This is Glasstaff. Come to my office for a mission."
"Agreed. Let's go." Rand opens the door and steps inside, immediately saying in goblin, "Glasstaff wants us to be ready to attack the town at dawn." He will take quick stock of the room, and if there are indeed prisoners being held against their will, Rand will quickly add, "He wants us to take them to the cells." Hoping to get the innocents out of harm's way.
(So, do you 1)Stride in like you own the place? 2) Nuke them from orbit - I mean, fireball through the keyhole? 3) Message them to come to Iarno's room? Or 4) Burst in and start swinging? Pick one - or another plan that all agree to =)
Penumbra stays just outside the room attempting to look as much like a cronie as she can while trying to position herself where she will have a clear shot if a fight breaks out.
”Well then let’s get this party started” and still disguised I walk into the room once everyone is cloaked up and yell out “What the hell is all this racket!”
Valefor throws open the door and yells, “What the hell is all this racket!”
This 15' x 25' barracks room contains four roughly built wooden bunks, with heaped-up blankets and dirty dishes scattered about. A strong smell of unwashed bodies and rotten meat fills the air. Three tall, furry bugbears are lounging among the mess, barking orders at a sad little goblin that demeans itself for their amusement. Your sudden appearance causes the goblin to faint.
The goblins turn to look at you, and one wearing a jeweled eyepatch merely shrugs and answers in broken common, "Wha? Jus' havin sum fun wit da gobbo. What da glass staff want now?"
Valefor sighs at Salty Joe "You don't have much patience do you?" as he smiles and raises his hand toward the farthest bugbear launching a Fire Bolt! "Neither do I!"
(You get a surprise round, then a Round 1 action, so write them both up and let's see what you all can do with two full actions before the bruisers use you for batting practice =P
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bankur springs into the room and begins moving towards the bugbear wearing the eyepatch. As Bankur advances he throws his hand out and barks a command word, hurling a small streak of green light towards the surprised bugbear.
(Casting Sacred Flame at the bugbear with the eyepatch) 1
Bankur continues towards the bugbear, feints low with his mace, then launches a backhand swing at the creatures head as he moves to the side of it.
Attack: 23 Damage: 4
(I'm assuming advantage from a failed saving throw from Faerie Fire in my second attack)
Surprise Attack: "Valefor, I thought you said it was going to be a ball of fire! There's four of these things!?!?!?" Rand rushes in and attacks the yellow bugbear with his sword (Attack: 12 Damage: 12). After that attack, Rand tries to decide between offense and defense. Making up his mind (cause this looks like it could get bloody), Rand grabs his holy symbol and utters a prayer causing the air to shimmer around him (shield of faith as a bonus action, bringing my AC to 18).
(If faerie fire applies, my advantage to hit roll is: 10) (Using inspiration to increase my to hit roll by: 6)

First Round Attack: After a successful blow thanks to Salty's inspiring words, Rand brings his sword back across the body of the yellow bugbear. (Attack: 22 Damage: 21).

"Well we are still wearing the red cloaks, we could always use the "walk-in and start giving orders" approach. It worked somewhat in the last room."
”I can send them a message if I can see them so peeking in through the lock I could, but we are wearing these crappy capes might as well use them.”

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
I think we have reached consensus around using our capes to stride in and give orders. (We may have both posted at the same time).
(Looks to me like we are going with option 1.)

As quickly as she can Penumbra looses two arrows at whichever bugbear she has the cleanest shot at.
