Standing there in the long silence, Maya would finally break it. "So uh. We going in?" Then after another brief pause. "Oh. Right." Realizing they might actually have been waiting on her, Maya would (finally) cast Pass without trace. She'd then ready her shield and prepare to lead the way.
Thanks to Maya's craft the party crosses the causeway without incident.
You now stand on a rock ledge about thirty feet wide. Ahead, set into the vertical rock surface, is a set of large stone doors, each ten feet high and five feet wide. The surface of the doors is featureless, with no visible handles, except for a rectangular aperture six inches wide by four inches high cut into the center of the left hand door, about six feet above ground level. A flat metal plate covers the aperture from the inside.
Toonary knocks hard, almost a pound on the door. "Hello?" Toonary's volume is almost a yell. For the party some of them mioght rember back to when they first met up, and Toonary shoved his head into the table's area and said "Hello" looking for new friends.
(Gridolpho) You determine that the doors , and the area around them contain no nasty surprises. You also. realize that the doors can only be opened from the other side.
"I have an idea." Maya would place a hand to her chest and take a deep breath. She'd dissolve into a Gaseous Form. She'd slip through the cracks of the door to materialize on the other size to open it for the others.
Maya opens the stone doors leading into the fortress. once inside you see the following; A bare Spartan room. Ahead , a short corridor off the room ends in a bronze gate. To your left, a single stone bench runs along the east wall. To your right on the opposite wall hangs a large metal gong. Standing by the gong are 4 sahuagin, with one of them holding a short metal bar, ready to strike the gong.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Awe biscuits..." Maya would mutter under her breath as the realization of their situation would don on her.
Determine the strength of the sahuagin forces. How many warriors, lieutenants, and other battle ready troops are present.
Locate important areas within the fortress: where are the warriors quartered. Same with officers. Most importantly, where are the leaders housed.
Discover any notable defensive measures: traps, areas specifically readied for defense, and other dangers the attacking force must avoid or overcome.
Discover how advanced the sahuagin preparations are and when they might mount their attack.
"I cannot stress this enough. Your goal is to gather information without attracting attention to yourselves. Above all else Do Not Get Captured! The sahuagin are masters of torture."Eliander warns.
"We come in peace?" A myriad of thoughts would roll through the druids mind. She needed to think, fast. They needed to reduce the amount of attention drawn to them as much as possible. Her eyes would fall on buddy with the gong mallet.

(If no one's got a better idea like sleep, command, hold person or something... This is what I'll ready up for Maya):
"Yoink!" Maya would move in to be within 30ft and gesture wildly with her arm, calling upon a vine to lash out towards the gong wielder.
Attack: 14 Damage: 7 Get pulled 10ft towards Maya if successful. Thorn Whip

(Toonary) You hear the faint sound of running feet from beyond the stone doors.

You could batter the doors down, but you would really alert the inhabitants of the fortress.
