Soar grabs Cyanwrath's head, and then moves to join Nate and Elspeth, a bit disappointed at finding nothing interesting on Cyanwrath or in the room he was guarding. She holds up the head at the figures, and says a little bit above speaking voice, "Hello there! Lay down your weapons and come on out, or you'll end up like the big half-dragon fellow."
Nate hands over the potion to Jalt, and smiles when Soar grabs Cyanwrath's head. He's surprised that there's no response from the movement to the east they saw, and will remain at DireWolfElspeth's side until they move forward.
Soar agrees, warily looking at what the figures are doing, where they went, and trying to search for any traps as she goes, hoping Nate or Jalt will help her. She doesn't want to fall down stairs that turn into ramps again.
Elspeth warily peers further down their path, growling a little irritably, then continues advancing into the eastern cave, relying on Jalt's torch to see for now.
You move east, down some steps. The chamber that opens at the bottom of the stairs is immense. A wide ledge runs along the left wall and drops away to a pit on the right. Many stalactites descend from the ceiling, and the sound of dripping water echoes continuously. In the pit, you think you can almost make out the outline of some large eggs... but your attention is drawn by what faces you. The warrior who retreated from the other cavern stands here, a small group of kobolds at his command, and a large drake he has just released from its chain. He eyes you coolly, points to you and gives a command word: Kill.
Roll initiative please. You can also adjust your starting position if you want.
Nate would've said, once he saw the enemies and what he thinks are eggs sticking out of that big pit...
"Guys.... you sure we can do this alone? That blue thing looks like it can do some damage... and I saw some eggs. Yes, I'm sure of it. See them over there? We should get the hell out of here now and report back."
Elspeth moves through the others until she is facing the warrior, hackles raised. She lunges forwards, fangs bared and aiming for the warrior. It's clear that she is willing to see this through to the end, or at least help cover the rear if the rest of the party decides to flee.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Elspeth, you grab the warrior's arm, making him struggle to keep hold of his weapon.
STR saving throw: 23
He staggers a little, but is able to keep on his feet. He growls at you, sounding almost as much like a wolf as you do.
The guard drake hisses and growls as it runs towards you; its tail swings powerfully from side to side and seems to be part of how it drives itself forward. It reaches Elspeth and prepares to attack.
Jalt is up. I'll update the map later, but you are in melee range of the warrior, and could potentially move round him to engage with the drake which is in G5 if you wish. Elspeth occupies E5,E6,F5,F6.
The warrior laughs as he deflects your war pick with his massive axe, but there's no actual joy in the laugh, not even the joy of battle. He seems grimly determined.
The kobolds edge a little closer, but are not approaching the main battle yet. Instead, each kobold uses a sling to launch a rock at the most obvious target, WolfElspeth:

With the silence, Jalt motions for the marching order to resume. This fight doesnt seem to be over. Prepare and let us move forward.

Jalt lights his torch again and starts to move forward towards the shadows, with his shield in front in case of an attack that might come his way.

Nate has his little flame lit on his shoulder as well, beside WolfElspeth for some added light.
