Kobold 2 gets chomped in half, the two pieces falling to the ground.  Kobold 4 squeaks and dodges the claw attack.

The drake, which is looking pretty sturdy still, is set on Soar:

Bite Attack: 17 Damage: 5

Tail:  Attack: 15 Damage: 4

Dodging the horrible teeth effectively, Soar gets a firm thwack to her side, staggering her momentarily.

Also, the drake gets an Opportunity Attack on Elspeth as she passes:  Attack: 15 Damage: 9

Jalt is up.

Seeing the drake focused on Soar, Jalt swings his war pick at the kobold Attack: 10 Damage: 8 

After his attack, Jalt will kneel down with this shield in front of him

The last kobold dies, its little head crushed by Jalt's war pick.  

With all the kobolds gone, Nate, Soar and Elspeth can all act now, before the drake's next turn.

Soar, distracted by encouraging Nate, turns completely to the side and unknowingly dodged what would have been a nasty bite, until she gets staggered by the tail attack, bringing her back to the battle. Soar did drop down to F5 the previous turn to flank the drake.

(Jumping ahead to give what Soar's attack will be if I can't post right away later today.)

Longsword Attack: 15 Damage: 13

Soar slashes at the drake, cutting across its neck and dislodging one of its scales; the gory mess tumbles off down into the pit.   The drake looks a bit more beaten up than before, but not close to going down.  It also looks even angrier than before.

Nate and Elspeth are up.  

Nate decides to take Soar's direction, and will fall back to E7 and take a good look down the pit to see if he can see the eggs.

Perception 25

Nate, with Jalt as your main light source, you peer into the pit.  You see two dragon eggs, each about three feet tall, lying against boulder in the middle of the lower pit area.  You see no sign of any creatures in this area.

Elspeth is up.

With only the drake left, Elspeth moves to rake the monster with her claws, then roars, lunging forwards to bite the drake.

Claws - Attack: 26 Damage: 16

Bite - Attack: 18 Damage: 7

Elspeth's attack is ferocious and deadly.  The massive wolf tears a gaping hole in the drake neck as the jaws close over its snout and rip it clean off.

You are out of combat.  The warrior, drake, and four kobolds lie dead on the ground, and in the pit below, the two dragon eggs that Nate has seen also await your attention.

Jalt remains kneeling there, heavy breaths. He knows he's in real bad shape and takes a minute or two to compose himself. Gingerly, he gets back to his feet and looks at the others. They left Cyanwrath and that drake here because what is in here is important. He makes his way down to the pit below.

Soar is still very revved up and she picks up one of the kobold's bodies and roars, throwing it down the stairs in a triumphant display of vanquishing Kelemvor's enemies. She tries to catch her breath and searches the remaining bodies. She would then join Jalt.

Soar, you find little - only 50 copper pieces and some meat - possibly rat - on the kobolds.  The warrior had nothing at all, and the drake nothing either.  

Down in the lower area, Soar and Jalt see the dragon eggs that Nate previously saw.  You can also make a Perception check if you wish.

Elspeth joins Jalt in the pit before changing back into her tiefling form, grimacing slightly as she dabbed at her wounds. She looks around as well, searching the chambers. "So... do we take these eggs and go? Smash them?"

Perception: 21

Jalt and Elspeth, you see the dragon eggs but don't notice anything special about them.  Other than that they are dragon eggs.  They're really big.

Nate joins the others down in the pit.

"Sorry for not having faith in us... it was just getting bad for a minute there." Nate is limping quite badly from the bite he took from the drake. 

He looks to Elspeth "Smash them.... YES, let's destroy these blasted things and get the hell out of here!"

Jalt looks to Elspeth and Nate... I... I cant destroy those eggs. Dragons are not born evil. That is what I have been taught and what I know. I can't let this cult have these eggs. Do what you will, but I can not be a part of this. Jalt starts to walk away and back towards the chamber where  they encountered Cyanwrath.

Nate listens to Jalt, nods at him silently, and watches him walk away.

He then looks to Elspeth, smiles, wipes blood from his face, and says "So... who's doing it?"

Soar will take a close look around the chamber and the area with the eggs, trying to figure out how they got there, if there is anyone else in the chamber with them, how portable the eggs might be, and if there is anything hidden in the upper or lower chamber. 

"I am very, very, very proud of each of you. I think that will be the last of of the fighting here - I just know it. Maybe we can take a rest in this place and try to bind up wounds. If we can't carry these eggs, I don't like the idea of letting this group of people have When for whatever reason they wanted them. While you all take a breather, I will take a look at these books and notes to see if I can find out more about the eggs. Here's some others if anyone else wants to look!"
