Nate heals all the NPCs aside from Saran. You see Toller talking to a group of travellers who are part of the caravan. There’s a lot of attention on the newly-rescued merchant and his group, and also on Nate the healer, as the caravan rests for an hour. Is there anything else you’d like to,do, or anyone you want to talk to, as matters are being decided for the next part of the journey?
(if Nate gets to short rest as well, he will use his Natural Recovery feature to recover both of those slots back with the short rest. If Nate doesn't get time to short rest, that's ok. Let me know!)
I think, Edheli replies carefully, that your services may be much in demand. However, you are under my employ and I expect you to remain at my side, unless I say otherwise. Is that clear?

To Saran, Boar will lean over him and say, "guess Kelemvor didn't want you yet."
When Hannica grabs onto Boar, she makes a show of sighing and rolling her eyes, and bends down and whispers, "Must have been scary, huh? You can hold on there as tight as you want. It can be a fun little game. We'll go for a ride. Here come the wagons, and we'll get you and your da sorted right after a rest."
She then stands up and begins walking around, with the little one holding onto her shin and sitting on her foot. She will make a play of trying to shake her off and being annoyed at having a stowaway, but is secretly happy to give the girl a distraction. She hobbles around the wagon as the other wagons pull around, and finds Lasfelro. She gives a fairly bored report of the brief fight, tells him about the others asking for a rest, and asks him if he needs her to do anything. If he asks about the girl on her leg, she'll pretend to have just noticed her, and turn around back toward the wagon grumbling about having to get "it" removed somehow, with a few extra shakes on each step, trying to make her giggle.

Nate will absolutely try to figure out what is up with Edheli... but will also absolutely listen to her to keep his cover which seems to be working nicely here. "Oh gosh Madam.... that is clear as a crisp neverwinter mornin's day. You are my boss and well I respect that more than anythin'. You got nothin' to worry 'bout with me, my lady. Let me know how you want to proceed once all of this gets sorted. For now I will remain at your side." Nate will tip his cowboy hat to her, and also to the others who might be looking at him. "Thank y'all for allowin' me to help out."
Can Nate notice if any of the cultist wagons are near while in his current position beside his boss? How are the cultists reacting to all of this (battle etc.)?

Boar, Saran is still very groggy as he wakes from unconsciousness. You’re not certain what he heard or understood of that.
Hannica remains firmly attached to your leg for the full hour. She’s not very communicative at first, but after a while you hear giggles in response to your attempts to shake her off, each one leading to a noticeable tightening of her grip. She’s very strong for her size and age.
Lasfelro listens to your report, looks down at the girl, looks up, and shakes his head. Return the child, then return to me, he intones.
As you return to the front of the wagon, you see two horses being hitched to the cart. You have seen them being ridden by travellers in the caravan, but both look as though they might have been draft horses in the past. From the body language of the travellers and Toller, it seems money has changed hands to everyone’s satisfaction.
Toller approaches Boar first. She does that sometimes, he says fondly. More since we lost her mother. Thank you for letting her get it out of her system. Come on, sweetie, time to go.
Is Saran okay? a small voice asks.
He is well, Toller replies. But eager to get to Baldur’s Gate. As am I.
The limpet detaches and waves to Boar, and then scurries off to find Saran.
Over the next few minutes, Toller and the guard Yisto approach each of the fighters to rescued them individually. Yisto has nothing to offer but his thanks, but he offers it profusely. Toller gives each of you a prize of ten gold, saying that he wishes he could give more but the travellers negotiated well for the price of their horses. The wagon is hitched, and moves to the side of the road to allow the caravan to pass, resuming its journey north.

Jalt and Elspeth, with your passive insight, you notice that while he’s trying to keep it subtle, one of the cultists’ guards has been staring at Boar intermittently. He doesn’t appear to notice that you noticed.
Nate doesn’t notice anything about the cultists - though others do...
With that insight, you have a pretty clear sense of that Edhelri is part pleased, part confused, part irritated to learn that you have healing magic. She is probably mostly concerned that you will get dragged away from her side a lot.
Jalt notices the guard looking at Boar and motions to Elspeth. Whispering he says I think our friend either has an admirer or he recognizes her from somewhere. It'd be best to try and keep an eye out if we can.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Jalt Rhogar - Dragonborn Cleric (9)
Boar replies softly to Toller, "I've met worse children." She looks down at the girl, in a mock-gruff voice, whispering, "You take care of this fellow, or I'll hear about it!"
She turns around and begins to walk away, one leg briefly shaking off an imaginary limpet. "Back to work." When she gets near Lasfelro, she bows her head in deference. "My apologies," she says. She checks in with her coworker to see if anything's changed and she falls into routine to ready the wagon to resume movement. Does she notice anything notable or changed in Lasfelro or the gargoyle? And has she noticed any details about the wagon?
OOC: And without metagaming, let me know if she sees anything interesting about the cultists.
If she sees Edhelri's response to Nate Elspeth will refrain from healing magic for now - besides, Nate seems to have it handled. She'll approach Jalt on her own as soon as she notices the undue attention. "Yes, it seems that way, doesn't it." She murmurs out of the corner of her mouth. "I'll try telling her discreetly but it may be best if we keep our distance for a while. You don't think they'll attack, do you?"
At the end of their conversation, Elspeth will nod and say, in her normal volume."You're quite right, Jalt, I'll be sure to be more careful next time."
The caravan moves on, parting company with Toller and his group. Several days pass on the road, in relative peace and good humour.
Over the course of the days three members of the caravan approach Nate separately, asking for healing services. Edhelri frowns at each new arrival, but does not interfere. Will Nate assist them? Will he charge for the service?
The guards who were injured in the attack are healing well and able to return to their duties swiftly, thanks to Nate’s magical healing. Elspeth, you find that the two brothers under your command are very excited and tell and retell the story of this, their first real battle, with great enthusiasm. Jalt, your two are a little less boastful but seem equally pleased to have made a contribution to the victory.
The cultists don’t appear to say or do anything. You don’t notice that one cultist watching Boar again; if anything, they become a little more withdrawn and interact less with the rest of the caravan.
A tenday after you all set out from Baldur’s Gate, a full day of rest is ordered for the benefit of the animals. This, you learn, is standard practice in long caravan trips. You are not excused your duties, but you spend the day in idleness as your employers potter about, tending to this or that or meeting and establishing relationships with the other traders of the caravan and some of the wealthier travellers. There’s a lot of networking going on.
Soar, one of the travellers, a dwarf whose name you don’t know, approaches you late in the afternoon. My word, he says with a friendly smile on his face, I couldn’t help noticing those rather remarkable gloves you have. Might I take a look at them?
Nate, a young woman approaches you. You’ve seen her before among the other travellers, always wearing a hood so that you cannot see her face. Excuse me. People are saying you‘re a healer, is that right? Could I... speak to you for a moment?
Jalt and Elspeth, your four young guards are getting drunk and a hit rowdy. One of the other merchants’ guards, who has perhaps had enough of the retelling of the hobgoblin battle, speaks loudly: Shut it, Gethyn. We all know it was that dragonborn and tieflling who won the fight. You were just shooting from the back like a coward! The atmosphere gets suddenly very frosty. There are about ten young guards sat around the campfire and it looks like this might develop into something bad.
"These? Bought them off a merchant who didn't know what they had. Supposed to make you the best musician in the land but, well, they obviously don't do that. They help in... other ways, though." She pulls one off and hands it over, her eyes darting over the dwarf and then behind him, to either side of her, and behind her, looking for anyone else taking an interest in this interaction. She doesn't introduce herself or show much friendliness or interest. "You didn't say your name, or what you do."
Nate as always will enjoy the countryside during the travels, but not gawk and marvel at the nature like he normally would. He would remain at Edhelri's side, and he will assist each member of the caravan that asks for healing. well all be... he thinks to himself.
Before he heals the caravan members, Nate will look Edhelri directly in the eye and say "Now Ma'am... I can feel the uncomfortable energies that might be arisin' from that there head of yours... Ma'am, I'm sorry. I should've told you earlier that I had these powers, but to be quite honest you seemed like a very trustworthy person and well heck ultimately I really wanted the job. Listen here... you got absolutely nothin' to worry about with me leavin' your side for the duration of this trip. Where I'm frum, a deals a deal, and well m'lady, we have a deal. Plus, I won't get a wink of sleep knowin' this beautiful wood might be guarded by someone not capable. So please, don't worry. I'll help everyone I can, but you're my priority Ma'am."
Nate tips his hat to her, and then proceeds to help all of the merchants. He will say to each of the merchants "By golly I am not a greedy man. You pay me whatever you can afford and we will be even-steven. If nuthin is what you can afford, then nuthin is what you pay."
So basically Nate will take donations. He has no idea how to price this out and doesn't want to blow his cover. (he could care less about the money, its all about his cover)
As for the young woman who approaches Nate: "Mighty fine pleasure to meet you, Ma'am. Yes indeedy I possess the healing energies! I'm helping my boss here get to our destination. What is it that I might be able to help you with on this fine day?"
So he's going to talk to her, but not going to leave his boss if she wants to talk alone.
The name's Fennet, the dwarf replies to Boar. He seems taken aback - but pleased - to be handed the glove, and turns it over and over, excitedly pointing out features. It's magical, yes, I can feel it. It's marvellous - magical items are so rare, I've only seen one in real life maybe three or four times before. Utterly marvellous, of course, I could never afford such a thing. Indeed. He hands the glove back to you.
So kind of you to let me see it. A merchant you say? In Baldur's Gate? They always seem so sharp, I'm surprised you got the better of one so easily. Yes, indeed. Quite a remarkable story. I'm just a traveller, you see, not a rich man by any means. Would you consider parting with them?
Nate, two of the people who approach you are among the poorer travellers, walking on foot. They each have a minor injury or wound that is not healing well; your magical healing is able to cure these quickly. They are grateful, and each offers three silver, which seems to be a lot of money to them.
The third and final person to approach is a noble who has a bruise on his eye. Fell off the stupid horse. Damned creature. I should whip it more often, to teach it respect. You notice Edhelri, walking by her wagon, gets a look of fury on her face before smoothing it over into her normal calm expression. Anyway, I heard you are healing for pennies, and thought I would avail myself of your services. You heal him and he hands you three silver - you get the feeling this is small change for him. That's correct, no? Well, I shall be glad of your services again, young man. And he walks off.
On the day of rest, the young woman who approaches you looks at Edhelri and removes her hood. It's not a secret, exactly, she says. I've told people in the caravan, and I'm not ashamed, it's just that I don't like the constant attention and gawping. That's why I wear the hood and the gloves. She removes her leather gloves too.
She's green. She's green from head to toe. Everything - face, hair, eyes, lips, hands, fingernails. It's all green.
I'm going to Waterdeep to try to find a... a cure, I guess, or an explanation at least. She shrugs. I don't know if it's something you've ever seen before. I've been asking every healer, every user of magic I've met on this trip - none has a clue. Some of them pretend to know, of course, so let's be clear - I have coin to pay, and you will see it after I am cured. She sighs apologetically, half a smile crossing her lips. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude. There's a lot of charlatans around, and most of them think a woman travelling alone is an easy target. Do you... do you think you can help?
Boar puts the glove back on, nodding her head at the thanks. "Didn't know what he had. I didn't either. Dumb luck. Do you know what they do, Fennet? Very observant. For just a traveller." She furrows her brow and awkwardly shakes her head when he asks about parting with them, stepping back a bit.
Boar, the dwarf looks even more taken aback. Me? No? I don't know anything! Yes, just a traveller, absolutely. I just think they're interesting. Haven't a clue what they might do. Heh. Well, well, perhaps, I, well, just think about it, yes indeed, do think about it. If you reconsider, I would make you a very generous offer. Yes indeed.
He smiles, gives a small bow, and walks away.
