Would Jalt know anything in particular about white dragons? Soar asks Blagothkus what this dragon likes and doesn’t like, and when they see it. And when they’ve settled back into Rezmir’s rooms, she starts trying to come up with some good ideas on how to take it on/fool it/trap it.
Nate would take note of what the giants respond to Soar's question about exactly where the entrance to the caverns are that the white dragon is in.
((do we know when the castle is landing? Was that asked to B?))
Nate really would not want to sleep in Rezmir's quarters, he really liked those other rooms with the views, but he wouldn't say anything as the party heads down there. He would not even try to roll for knowledge of dragons I feel, but would tell the others what he knows about vampires and thinks its best if we don't even involve them in this.
Jalt would know the basics of white dragons at least - they are savage and aggressive. Jalt can roll a Nature check to recall more, if you wish.
Blagothkus hasn't specified when the castle is landing; you only know that he plans to fly north, and he hasn't mentioned a major change in course since you informed him of developments.
In response to Soar's question, Blagothkus replies: The worm likes its treasure; most of the stolen goods of the cult are in its hoard now. And it likes to eat. I expect it will grow hungry in a day or two if the cultists are not feeding it. Hmmm. Perhaps I should aid you in removing it before it becomes a problem... He seems to be considering the idea.
Soar perks up. "We would welcome any help you can offer. Would you have fighters or spellcasters who could join us? I've heard giants can throw stones better than anyone."
Nub speaks as well. "We could also offer it some food from your stores, or whatever the cult would have fed it, so that it's distracted, and that could give us an upper hand."
Jalt, you know that white dragons are extremely dangerous; their fearsome breath of cold, frozen air can kill most humanoids in a single blast, and it would be foolish to approach without some protection against that terrible weapon. They are cruel, but lack the cunning of some of their chromatic cousins; they are excellent hunters, and like to keep the frozen corpses of their enemies.
I will join you myself, and a few ogres perhaps. I shall be glad to be done with this, once and for all. Perhaps I can offer you something... Blagothkus goes to a cabinet in the corner and begins perusing the contents.
Nate's eyes widen with delight when B. mentions he will join plus a few other ogres.
if Jalt would've told the party about his knowledge about the white dragons, Nate would mention that he does recall some magic that he's been contemplating that could help protect from cold.
The giant returns with three items, two giant-sized rings and a potion. He keeps one ring, slipping it on a massive finger, and holds the other out to Soar. You and your friends might make use of these, I believe. Don't worry, the ring will adjust to your little hands when you put it on.
Soar thanks Blagothkus respectfully, sincerely. "This will help a great deal. Is it okay if we have the evening and night to prepare, plan, and recharge? My colleague here has a spell that would help a lot, and our day started what feels like months ago. We'll be at our fighting best before sunrise. Can you scratch out a basic map of where the dragon's been staying, so we can come up with a plan? Perhaps we could be the bearers of a platter of food it wants that you don't, and you could stay a bit off and throw boulders. Or I bet you are amazing in combat! It truly must be awesome to see. We can come up with more ideas as well."
Blagothkus nods, but the two giants begin to speak to him and he becomes more and more distracted by their conversation. Before you leave for the night, he will agree to produce a map, and a pair of ogres will escort you to the guest rooms on the upper courtyard and make sure you are safely away from the vampire, as far as they can.
(I would OOC love a long rest, as Soar's mostly out of smite and spell slots, and she would love to try to strategize. Nub also would love to copy over a spell from Pharblaxx's spellbook if he can, after consulting with the group. Do we think fire shield is the best? or major image? Or something else?)
After some time, an ogre arrives to present you with a map from your giant ally:
The red dot is where you will enter through the tunnel. Each blue dot leads to the exterior of the flying castle - only the largest one is used by the dragon. The yellow circle marks a trap - a concealed pit that drops down if someone heavier than a kobold crosses it. You can ask Blagothkus questions about the map in the morning, but he's not with you now.
Nub has six hours today, so that's enough time to copy a total of three spell levels into his spellbook. Each spell level costs 50 gp as well, so let me know how much I should deduct from Nub's sheet.
Feel free to strategise and then take a long rest; you won't be disturbed.
As Jalt prepares for his long rest, he remembers his training from the Platinum Cadre and from his grandfather. He takes out his holy book and starts to read passages from it, hoping to gain inspiration from the teachings and words of Bahamut and his followers. As he reads, he remembers how to cast and prepare some spells that his grandfather taught him. Spells that would prepare him for a fight such as the one ahead of him and his allies. Jalt's been quiet much of the last few hours solely because he anticipates a fight like one he has never had. Before the end of the long rest, Jalt casts Aid at 3rd level on himself, Nate and Nub (Soar has more HP then the others lol). Add 10 to your HP for the next 8 hours.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Jalt Rhogar - Dragonborn Cleric (9)
(OOC: As far as we can tell from RAW, you can cast a spell like Aid with a long duration just before the end of a long rest, and then recover that spell slot immediately when you complete the rest. It's a little counter-intuitive but Sage Advice seems to support it. If there are other spells you can think of that might be applicable, feel free to cast them too.)

I think Jalt would know about the different types of dragons just not about specific dragons such as Glazhael

The ring is a ring of warmth, and he also offers a potion of healing (Superior)

Nate nods when Soar mentions his spell (I think?) and is looking forward to meditation and perhaps his final battle?
An image of his mother flashes before his eyes.

Yes for sure, and also will be interested in strategizing once we get that map from B.
