Soar also gets to her feet and will help prepare to go - the main thing, it seems, being the direwolf carcasses. If there is value to be gained from the pelts, claws, teeth, or bones, she will help anyone more knowledgeable try to harvest them. She’s mindful that all they have is a stick, so perhaps there are weapons or hide armor to be made. She doesn’t know archery very well but she’s heard of bone bows and string made of gut. Perhaps that fits Tangle’s mood. A femur could work as a club for Bazavur? She’s literally grasping at straws. She goes to En and thanks them for the gift - indicating the stalking form of Tangle as the reward.
Soar, the elves are polite but clearly don't need any help; they may not be much use in a fight, but they are skilled woodsfolk and have managed to salvage a great deal of meat and fur. One is happy to talk to you a little about your ideas, but suggest that bow and arrows will be easier to come by, and more artfully made, back in the village.
You commence your journey back, the elves sticking in the middle of the group and En hovering along behind, not keeping close but not letting Soar out of their sight.
Can I assume that someone - Soar or Jalt most likely - will give some healing to Tangle? She's currently on 1 HP I think.
The plan: Tangle will immediately look to secure a weapon, or as many weapons as she can. Ranged weapons and finesse melee weapons. But she'll take anything. Then she will collapse to rest.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Soar will lay on hands for 25 hp. Then offer to cure wounds if Jalt doesn’t stop her.
She will hang back as they arrive at Altand, not leading the van for once. She’s deeply, deeply ashamed at having failed so badly. And having exactly nothing to offer in trade for any of the many, many things she might need to rebuild herself. But eventually she will go in and hope someone else does the talking. She won’t hide information but she won’t offer it either. She keeps an eye on En. She also, very obviously, does not make her usual attempts to plan anything. It’s very weird for those who know her.
When Soar fails to take charge, Tangle will look at her strangely, then take over. She will direct the search for weapons, supplies, making the other party members ask for what they need, and commandeering a place to rest that night. She will not take no for an answer, going so far as to remind whomever is balking that the party saved elves from Atland. Then she will make the other three gather and she will begin making plans for the next day. She's unwilling to wait any longer than one night. She wants to go back to the cave to scrounge for anything they can find, to scout and kill cultists, etc. Then she wants to track any cultists who may have left with Chtuth's hoard. That's her plan. It is very bloody.

Okay. So you do arrive at Altand in the late morning. The elves that travelled with you are glad, but exhausted both by the trip and by the devastating experience they have just survived. A small crowd forms as families are reunited and many people come to thank you. They are sincere, but they are also subdued; there can be no thought of celebrations in a village that has lost so much.
You notice one of the guards, one you spoke to on your first visit to the village, waiting but not intruding, clearly wishing to speak to you when you are ready. After the crowd dies away, she will approach: It is good to see you have returned. But I sense that not all went as you had hoped. Is the dragon defeated?
There are not many children around, and you do not see Gwen at the moment.
Tangle looks expectantly at Soar, who looked very uncomfortable (if she even stayed) during the greeting of the heroes, but shakes her head quickly. Soar is clearly not up to this.
The eladrin turns back to the guard, and speaks in elvish. "It is not defeated. Several of our party were slain, including myself. But I am returned from death to see my task done, and the dragon and its ilk are in my way. The dragon's rider is Neronvain, son of the King. The warden of this village was in league with them. I find myself wondering if there is anyone of authority here who stands with us. Do you?"

Soar does indeed hang back, awkwardly, and waits for someone to reply to the guard. She is psyching herself up for a response when Tangle replies. She gives the eladrin a look of thanks, and listens. It's then she realizes she doesn't see Gwen. She waits for a reaction to Tangle's revelations and queries, and then adds, "And the girl who came here with us, Gwen. Where is she?"
Tangle, the guard gives a sharp hiss of surprise as you mention Neronvain. The Prince? What makes you think... have you proof of this? She seems genuinely shocked.
Depending on your answer, you may want to make a Persuasion check.
(Will come to Soar after Tangle's conversation is resolved)
“Proof? He has been named and we have seen him. Whether you believe this is of no consequence to me. We need weapons, armor, supplies, to go back and fight them again. Are you another who will stand in our way?” Her fists clench as she finish this speech, still in elvish.

It is of consequence to me. It is a grave accusation and not to be made lightly, especially not by a stranger. Will any of those who you rescued corroborate this? Those who we know?
Grana is leaving the area, but Soar catches her just in time and can bring her over to the guard. "It is true," Grana says sadly, and she relates to the guard a little more of the group's experiences as captives, servants and slaves of the dragon cult. Not the full horror or all the details, but enough to confirm that indeed Neronvain, the son of the King, was the rider of the green dragon and responsible for all the attacks and deaths in Altand and elsewhere.
The guard is genuinely shocked and seems uncertain how to proceed. In confusion, she looks at you all, and swallows deeply. I am... I must tell... I am not certain what to do or how. I... you said you need... what? Weapons? Supplies? We have little to share but I'm sure there is something. Please, rest for today - I will need time to talk to the others. We don't exactly have much in the way of a leader here without a Warden.
Tangle, you would have made it up into the trees via the elevator for this reunion of the villagers, so no rocks around. You might break off a branch to make a club perhaps.
Soar steps in front of Tangle. "You want to hit someone, something, hit me. I'm angry too. My anger is not your anger. We are different. But we are both angry. Let's find the right targets."
She wants to get rest to those who need it, and she'll take another long rest, but she doesn't need it (is there a chance for Tangle and Bazavur to get two long rests in a row? Sleep the rest of the day, and then overnight, and then we could all head out in the morning with Bazavur getting 3 long rests and Tangle 2, post resurrection?). So she'll offer to spend some time going through whatever armory, working with whatever blacksmith or leatherworker or fletcher or woodcarver to attempt to kit out the party with what's there, even using cast off old equipment. Soar needs armor, a sword or a warhammer, a shield, and anything else the elves can spare. Happy to make any kind of persuasion check, and then any kind of help action skill check to get weapons. She also spends some time in prayer, asking Kelemvor to grant her another amulet or spell focus.
What does En do? She's fine to let them keep their distance, but also is curious about his intentions now, and will not shy from asking more.
She's also not sure what the rest of the party wants to do, but she and Tangle seem of the same mind.
Tangle totally takes advantage to sucker punch Soar. Without armor in the way, she goes for a body blow.
In game log, with Advantage for Steady Aim, but not Sneak Damage because fists are not finesse weapons: 11 to hit, for 0 damage
This takes a lot of energy out of her (recently dead, after all) and seems to take the fight out of her, for now. She nods along with Soar’s description of needs and plans, and agrees to help as she can.

Soar goes to Grana and asks her, amid reunions, to verify for the guard what Tangle just said about Neronvain. "It is true, ask Grana."
Tangle fumes, and considers violence, and begins looking around for rocks that would make good throwing weapons.

11 does hit Soar. Soar, get Tangle-punched. :)
So, Soar and Tangle will look for equipment and help out. Will Jalt and Bazavur join them? Is there anything else anyone wants to do?
Jalt would help out with looking for equipment.

Bazavur will assist as best as he is able. He doesn’t have anything other than resting and recovering that he wants to do.
