A Lost Mines of Phandelver Story Faelan (Cottontail) Whisperwind - Level 3 Ranger (Fey Wanderer) - Zorg's Lost Souls II
"Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life."
With another well placed shot Chill finishes off the last ghoul.
With the ghouls taken care of you are able to look around the chamber.
This chamber was once a shrine, as evidenced by wall carvings that depict dwarves carrying censers and observing religious rites. However, the eastern section of the room has collapsed, filling the area with rubble. Gnawed bones scattered among the debris are the remains of a number of dwarves.
A search of the room reveals a platinum amulet on a thin but sturdy gold chain. This amulet is a holy symbol of Moradin and bears his symbol: a hammer and anvil. Krom recognizes the symbol immediately. You also find buried in the debris an unlocked steel coffer weighing 5 pounds. This small box is packed with silt, nestled in which is a potion of superior healing.
A set of stairs lead up or you can return to where Rhogar is.
The sound of muffled growls and sailor swears precedes the eventual arrival in the room of one Rhogar after the search, squeezing his way out of the tunnel. "When you said that there would be more room as I GO, Ghorar, you failed to mention it was from your particular perspective."He barked at the snickering Psuedodragon; who promptly hid behind Kazri's neck as soon as he started waving the ivory staff in her direction.
"Hmph! I see you all have seen to the dead. Good. My apologies for being more helpful. Without knowing the length, and to avoid further clustering I thought I might... I don't know. Find another way around. Instead, found an empty room."He added with a snort.

"These ones weren't that bad but certainly not a banshee or whatever it was that may still reside here somewhere. So do we head upstairs or finish looking around on the main floor first?"
Ghorar startles Kazri as it hides behind her neck. She smiles a little, and by doing so she surprises herself as well. She raises her right hand, and opens her palm to see if the psuedodragon will be more comfortable there.
"Gentlemen, shall we go up the stairs, or back to those double doors we saw earlier?" Inquires the paladin.

Ghorar seems to considered the offered hand for a moment, and then sends Kazri the mental image of her perching on the paladin's shoulder, looking regal and proud wit her chest puffed out. Afterwards, the a warm feeling is sent across alongside the image of her watching from some shelf as the paladin did battle with more dead things; as if assurance of, whent he time came, her backing off as to not off balance the paladin.
"Mmmm, Upstairs, Kazri, is my vote at least. If we are to be thorough after all, best we complete things floor by floor as much as we can, starting from the top."

"Before going upstairs, I think that we should finish to clear the Lower Halls. My vote is to proceed to those double doors." says Krom while trying to clear as much as he can the shrine of Moradin.
The dwarf walks near the remains of the other dwarves and chants an hymn to Moradin "Return in peace to the All-Father's Halls."
"OOooOOOHHH This looks expensive!" Chip would say as he holds up the platinum amulet. "Krom, do you think you wanna keep this?" He would as ask looking towards the dwarf. He would turn to Rhogar and smile. "Don't worry about missing out on fighting the ghouls... They were mostly harmless after my calming tune after all..." He would say before looking to Krom and his wound.. "Mostly harmless.... "
"Chip, I am sorry, but this amulet is an holy symbol of Moradin, it is not an item to be sold.", Krom will put on his neck the platinum amulet. "Those ghouls were harmless, thanks to your bardic inspiration and my armor, their claws did not wounded me at all."
“I am fine going back to the double doors.” Says Kazri as she tries to remain still to allow the pseudodragon to stay on her shoulders.

Rekuberk will go around and gather up his javelins, returning them to his normal spot before he better his Greatsword onto his shoulder in a relaxed manner as he follows the others to the next room. "Those things didn't put a scratch on me. But for your piece of mind Krom when we are given a chance I think it would be a good deed if we were to put the bones of your people to a proper rest. I am not knowing of your customs so I shall leave that to you."
"Thank you lad, if you all give me a few minutes, I will finish to proper gather their remains and perform a sending ritual so that their souls may travel fast to Moradin's Halls."
Krom carefully gather the remains of the dead dwarves while chanting an hymn of sending, he traces on each skull and bone the symbol of Moradin. After a few minutes the dwarf says "This should be sufficient. We can proceed now."
With Krom's ritual completed the party moves back to the double doors. Pushing them open the party enters a great hall that has a 40-foot-high ceiling supported by four thick stone pillars. A thick layer of dust covers the flagstone floor. In the middle of each wall past the entrance is a double door. Arrow slits are set high up in the north and south walls, and a small stone balcony protrudes from the wall above the east exit, 20 feet above the floor.
(Not I, says the Dragonborn healer. It should go to Rekuberk or Chill for some emergency healing)
Rhogar looked as if wanting to protest the whole 1st floor clearing business. But between Kazri's swap, and a grudging anticipation of the dwarf knowing the layout better to some extent, he bit back a retort, and just left back through the tunnel, saying something or other about discomforting atmosphere right before the ritual. When the others see him once more, he was pacing, but otherwise content to fall back in line came the time for it.
"As quiet as the grave.. hmph... Well, Master Krom? I presume you'll want to go to the closest doors first? Or might we at least check out the other before then."
