Though somewhat taken aback by Chill's request to share a watch, the Bronzed shrugged it off sooner after. "Hmn. It sounds good to me as well. Gnomengarde is not so far from here that we cannot make the trip back. It'll likely be a harrowing journey after facing the dragon. But compared to that challenge, I think it would be a welcome reprieve." Rhogar admitted, chuckling at the thought. "Sorry, Master Krom."

Kazri thinks for a moment. "I think Mr. Chip is right. Having the horses and the wagon wait for us at Gnomengarde might be a more sensible solution to our dilemma. If we are all in agreement, I can ask them to head to the gnomes in the morning when we are ready to head to the top of the mountain."
(OCC: I rather Kazri communicate with the animals now, while spell is still up, and not spend a slot on the next day. If DM permits.)
How good are horse memories :D will they remember in the morning :P
"I agree with the plan of sending back the horses to Gnomengarde, I was looking for crafting something, but that may be the best solution." says Krom, "Hopefully they have a good memory Chip."
Krom makes a little fire and starts cooking a simple dinner for the group.
"If it were possible I would say that we take them back ourselves but the faster the dragon is gone the better it will be for all of us." Rekuberk says as he moves to sit near Krom as he starts the fire, setting his sword across his knee as he gets out a cloth to clean it.
The first night is spent in a forested area filled with rocks and dense trees. The night passes without event, nothing disturbs your rest. 3rd and 4th watch report hearing the sounds of rocks falling further to the north and Rekuburk is near certain he heard the scream of an eagle or something akin to it after hearing rocks crash.
In the morning frost is on the ground and your breath can be seen. As you make ready to continue on foot Kazri speaks to the horses again, reinforcing the instructions from her conversation the night before. The horses dutifully trot away south and you wish them well.
A few hours, later as you make your way north, you find the mountain pass becomes more difficult terrain and sometimes you are scrambling on all fours rather that walking upright to get over part of the terrain.
Chill, who is out front scouting the best way, calls a halt when the scream of what sounds like a huge bird can be heard from over the next rise.
Perception rolls please and your actions.

For all of her keen senses, Ghorar is too deeply nestled into the hood of Rhogar's cloak to even notice any screaming, let alone anything beyond it. A far more alert Rhogar squinted, having caught something beyond it, and narrowed his focus on his hearing. A few moments later, his eyes go wide. "There's someone in trouble ahead. We must hurry." He said in rush, before immediately attempting to rush the rest of the way over the rise to examine the situation after having called upon Vixix' Vitality to further prepare for inevitable conflict.

"Indeed Master Rhogar. I hear at least three creatures over the next rise. A scream, something grunts and another growling."
He joins Rhogar up the hill and moves off to the right to find a suitable tree or rock to hide behind and observe what is happening.

As you come over the rise the sounds intensify and even those that couldn't hear before can hear the sounds of fighting. Two beasts sound to be fighting.
In the valley below about 150 feet away you see a griffon on the ground with a huge dire wolf attacking it. Every now and then the griffon tries to fly into the air but can only get a few feet in the air before it falls to the ground again. To make matter worse to the left on a ledge about 40 feet above where the griffon and wolf are locked in combat a huge giant throws boulders down at the griffon.
"Griffons are noble beasts, we should try to help that poor fellow out before he/she is being crushed by those boulders or eaten by that dire wolf." says Krom the group, "Also I can not pass down the chance to fight a giant. One of those monsters killed my grand-grand father in an ambush some years ago."
Krom waits a few moments and, unless stopped, he will dash towards the giant trying to keep on the left side of the valley using rocks and other natural formation to have some kind of cover from the giant.

"This is certainly quite the sight I expected to see. But either way! If that is your wish, Master Krom, I do not object. Perhaps even in aiding this noble beast of yours, we might have an ally in fighting the dragon." Rhogar chuckled. "Everyone. Be prepared. As soon as I unleash the divine breath upon either of those foes, that giant will turn upon us. Just stay focused on getting close. I'll keep provide covering fire, and hopefully keep it distracted long enough."
If he sees no objections to the plan, Rhogar gives them but a brief head start puior to sucking in a deep breath, holding it with eyes squeezed shut in focus, and then snapping them open and releasing it all as far more reaching and concentrated wave of divine power at the hill giant.

At the sight of the griffon being pinned down by the dire wolf, Kazri’s medallion starts to shine a bright incandescent light. Chill runs down her spines, but, surprisingly, she does not freeze. For a brief moment she thought that she would go back to the top of the hill to meet the Angel Tharii, but she is still at present moment. “Much appreciated for the heads up Master Nimbatuul. I shall engage the dire wolf and aid the griffon as best as I can.” Kazri will dash and try to wedge between the two beasts. (She will take an AoO if applicable.)

Seeing the battle take place about 150 feet away Chill moves quickly forward, a combination of his cunning ability and feline agility, to get the giant within range of his crossbow. Once satisfied he is close enough he finds a place to hide and then sends a bolt at the tall giant.
If I move 30 ft. forward, would I be able to hit the ogre with a spell that has a range of 120ft? if so he would case he would cast hypnotic pattern on the ogre (wis 16)
