As Fae crosses the stream she steps on a loose rock that shifts causing her to lose her balance a bit and splash about. The second goblin stirs and squints through the thickets and starts to shout "hey!" when it notices Arvel out of the corner of its eye and turns just in time to receive a dagger to the eye. All is quiet again as the goblin quickly stops moving, the stream and the wind in the trees once again the most prominent sounds.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Still in wolf spider form, Tarja follows the wall along the ledge the goblins were on into the cave. She tries to stay quiet (Stealth: 16) and surveys the inside of the cave to see where it's leading and whether anyone seems to be responding to the goblin's cry. (Perception: 20)
Zeke takes a couple of careful steps past the guards and pauses to listen and look for anything else that might be lurking or alerted to their presence. He'll stay close to the shadows and continue to lead the group into the caves to find their benefactors - who are most certainly already dead and dismembered.
Fae would wince at her clumsiness and bite her tongue before she makes any more noises. She’d remain behind the others so that they can do their stealthy bits in case she continues to fumble like a buffoon. She’d leave the bodies for Ethan to inspect, so she doesn’t chance making additional noise.
As Tarja and Zeke lead the group into the cave their eyes adjust to the varying grays of darkness here and they know that many would not be able to see at all in such conditions. The entrance is small enough that Zeke has to hunch over a bit as he hugs the curvature of the damp, mossy wall to his right but it quickly opens up to high ceilings of twenty to thirty feet. The stream splashes down a steep incline as the cave climbs the interior of the hill and the entire place is wet and slippery. Most low sounds are muffled by the rush of water echoing throughout the cave. As Tarja climbs along the walls and ceiling Zeke and the others have to step around both small and large stalagmites, trying not to slip in the process. The air is humid and carries traces of several unpleasant smells.
Continuing to climb, Zeke and Tarja see an opening to the right with a few rough stone steps leading into a wider chamber while the main tunnel and stream continue straight ahead. Peering in they see five wolves chained to a metal spike at the back of room that seems to have been hammered into a crack in the floor. The wolves appear to be sleeping, although one has raised its head and looks alert, its ears up as it scans for sound or movement up towards the ceiling in Tarja's direction. The pungent smells of filth and worse are stronger here.
-Those without darkvision will have a good deal of trouble seeing in here in some places.
Zeke turns back towards the rest of the party 'Looks like they have an early warning system here - five wolves appear to be guarding the way forward. One of them is awake and alert. I can likely take him out, but that will wake up the others and alert the whole place. Anyone have any ideas?'
Fae would look up to Tarja in her Giant Spider Wolf form before looking back to Zeke with a whisper, “If anyone could do anything, it’d be Tarja. Remember the rats?” She would hesitate to agree to kill the wolves without consulting Tarja first. “Maybe a little jerky could go a long way? Maybe buy us some allies in this place...” She’d mumble off, looking back to Tarja. So far Fae could only imagine she’s seen as a bumbling, fumbling mess to a warrior like Zeke. Who am I to make such a suggestion?
Before everyone enters the cave, Ethanfind some coins on the two dead goblins, handing them out to the others. (1gpeach, remember to add to your character)
Ethanlets his friends get ahead of him, as he strips the goblins of their useful materials and stores them away in his compressed space storage.
Ethanthen catches up to the others inside the cave, seeing Tarjatransform back into herself and heading forward to try talking with the wolves.
Ethanwhispers to the others,
"Oh, the two goblins outside had some more meat on them, if you want more to give the wolves."
"Actually, the two goblins outside are made of meat, if the wolves need a more substantial meal, although I don't know if they would like the taste of goblin...."
For tracking purposes, Ethanhas added the following to his inventory:
The most alert wolf stands and bare's its teeth at Tarja with a low growl but looks intrigued by the offering of meat and ceases it's threatening posture. It moves towards Tarja and reaches the end of its chain just before the top of the low stone steps. Reaching out it snatches the meat away and chews it up, licking its lips when it is finished. The other wolves wake and stand at attention, watching the exchange. The first wolf begins making sounds back at Tarja not dissimilar to when a pet dog might 'talk' to its owner.
"More meat, pack. More. You pack go. Pack trapped. Bad. Ripper lead pack. Ripper stay with furry man. Ripper leave, pack leave." Another wolf covers half of the distance and adds "Ripper die, pack leave." The first wolf snaps at him angrily and then turns back to look at Tarja's hand, hoping for more food.
Inspiration to Fae and Tarja for finding what, at least for now, looks like a better solution to a problem, specifically for offering meat and the approach of discussing their packs. (I know you probably already have it, but it's good if I can remember to give it out, you are encouraged to use it and be confident you'll get it again some day, etc.)
See group PM, but forgot loot for two goblins outside so there's six gold mentioned there to be split along with any junk Ethan takes. ;)
Tarja pulls out additional rations to hand to the wolves, and gestures to the party members to come along.
“The wolves won’t bite now. I think. Don’t make any sudden movements and stay by me.”
She heads past the wolves, handing out her dried meat rations as she goes, and staying between the wolves and the party (if the party is coming along).
To the wolves, she gives a gracious bow:
” Thank you. My pack go. Here, have meat. If we can, will find furry man and ripper, free your pack.”
(Can I please get some Perception checks as the group gets ready to move past the wolves? Disadvantage to anyone without Darkvision, unless you decide to use some light sources.)

Ethan moves forward, once he sees Tarja enter the cave.
When Ethan gets to the two dead goblins, he looks the scene over and then comments in a whispers,
"Guards? We are lucky to have taken them out without the alarm being raised."
"Hopefully we can maintain the element of surprise a little longer."
Ethan checks the two goblins over, looking for materials, as well as anything that could be useful with their rescue attempt.

'Get that boomstick ready than my friend. We'll have to blast them out of our way.'
Zeke puts his blade back in its sheath and pulls out both hatchets, spinning them up to make the handles smack into his palms.
'Left to right? Arvel, Tarje, Me, Ethan, Fae?' Elra you be ready to clean up if someone misses?

"I'd certainly rather not kill them all. Happy to let Tarja weigh in - wonder if we can get her attention without alerting the wolves.'
Even as he says this, he keeps his hatchet out and ready, eyes trained on the pack of wolves guarding the passage.
Tarja, seeing the wolves and hearing of the planned assault on them, climbs back towards the party on the cave floor and turns back to dwarf form.
”I hope we don’t need to fight them. They’re all chained up, poor things.”
She casts speak with animals, reaches into her pack for some dried meat to offer, and takes a few steps toward the sentry wolf, holding it out.
”Hello, friend. My pack wants to pass. We bring you some food.”
She also remarks on the chains.
”Is your pack trapped here? ”
Ready action - one I hope I don't need - but Zeke will throw his hatchet at the first wolf to begin making alert noises or attacking Tarja

Ethan reaches up and twists a small squat cylinder he has on his chest armour.
As he does, a small iris opens revealing a small glowing stone embedded beneath.
The stone gives off bright light in a cone out 5ft and growing dim over the next 5ft (10ft total light in front of Ethan)
Ethan then proceeds to follow his friends passed the wolves.
Ethan smiles and whispers to Tarja as he passes her,
"Talking to animals, very nice. I would love to study the magic sometime, if I may."
Perception check: roll1:15, roll2:16 (second roll for disadvantage, in case what ever he can/cant see is outside his 10ft light cone)
