Fae will nod to Tarja and follow her lead. She’d place the meat down with Tarja’s pile and back away slowly.
Once they return to the rest of the group, Fae would brush off a spot on the ground near the fire, close to her friends Ethan and Elra. As they pour over and identify the valued items, she would pull out her spell book and begin casting her own ritual (Find Familiar). As she spoke her incantations, Fae would consciously keep her eyes closed so she wouldn’t subject her comrades to more ‘crazy eyes’ this evening.
Over an hour goes by, Fae finalizes her incantations and closes up her book. She’d finally open her eyes, which are her normal violet, and picks herself up off the ground. She’d do another assessment of the available goods and begin her share of hauling the goods to the beginning of the cave where Zeke is standing guard.
Elra discovers that the cloak is a simple item, a cloak that will billow on command when worn. It seems to serve no more useful purpose. Cloak of Billowing.
When Tarja and Fae deliver the meat and speak to the wolves several just growl but another comes up from behind the first two and says in response "neck bad, bonds bad".
When Zeke and Arvel return to the other goblins and begin to let them free, the notable one that goes by the name of Yeemik pipes up and says "sure, I'll draw you a map, for my dagger back." "You shouldn't have any trouble finding the place."
When Zeke gets outside, he quickly perceives a black raven sitting on a nearby branch. The raven tilts its head back and forth, watching Zeke intently.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tarja agrees with the wolf. Neck bonds bad. I will think. and would think about how to help.
Do the collars have locks, or did she see any keys when searching Klarg and his possessions? How sturdy do they look - could someone strong break the collar or a key link in it without hurting the wolf?

Tarja finds the collars to be held together by a simple bolt, easily undone with a bit of force, time, and potentially some sore fingers after for those without above average strength or some sort of tool to make the job a bit less demanding on the hands.
Tarja sees that she can help out the wolves, and calls out to them. I think we can remove neck bonds. Come, if you like.
She keeps a respectful distance, allowing the wolves to come to her if they want help. To her party, she calls out
Can someone gimme a hand here? Maybe someone with more strength than me, or someone with a good set of pliers! Zeke, Ethan, can ya spare a moment, or can I borrow some of your tools?
OOC: I do have proficiency in smiths tools, I just don't have any smiths tools! I'll buy some with this all this shiny gold once we're in Phandalin...
"Dagger? Hmm, dagger...Oh, yes. We did find a dagger of interest, didn't we? An interesting offer. I'll get you some parchment and charcoal. We'll see how good your map is and then we can discuss your dagger."
The charlatan goes and borrows some drawing material from Elra.
Where are we at in the Short Rest?
Arvel will string out the map making and discussion as long as possible until he gets his spells back.
Ethanfinishes charging his Magic Detection HUD, just before Elrafinishes casting identify.
He watches with intensity as the spell is released, the various magics flowing from Elra, into the pearl and then into the item, before returning to Elra.
Half mumbling to himself, Ethanrecords down his observations, in his designs book.
"That was great Elra, thank you very much! I am absolutely sure I could replicate the effect, as I was taught, now."
"It is very similar to what I have learned. There are a few things I would have to do more, to maintain control of the movement of the magic."
"It appears that the main differences seems to be that a full magic caster, can control the flow of magic either via some internal mechanism, or perhaps with external help, maybe Oghma?"
At Targa's Call for tools, Ethanstands up, leaving Elrato finish her identification of the remaining items.
Coming to the area where the group met the wolves, Ethansees the wolves half freed from their bonds.
"Oh right, I see what you mean, you want me to get them out? Can you explain to them I'm not going to hurt them, and that they should not eat me?"
Ethanstarts pulling out various tools, hammers, saws, pliers, and other odds and ends.
"Hmm let me see what will be the easiest and safest way to get the locking pin's out of the collars...."
Ethanstart assessing the collars without getting too close to any of the wolves yet, looking for the best way to get them off.

“Oh it comes from Oghma’s gift,” Elra confirms. “I wouldn’t have any of my gifts if it wasn’t for him believing that I worthy of using his power to do what he calls me to do. I don’t understand everything about it, but Loremaster Altervast said that part of being a scribe of Oghma is about learning and sharing the knowledge you do have with others. Like how this cloak is really cool if you have a flair for the dramatic. You can make it billow on command.” Elra holds the cloak up and shows everyone before folding it up and moving to the next item, the boots.
With Tarja's help, to both calm the wolves and to help with the removal (both magical and physical), Ethanbegins attempting to remove the collars.
"Right, so if the wolf can stay still, and if you can hold this, just clamp it on to the collar and hold it steady..."
"Right, now I can use this, with this, and lets see if we can get the pin to pop out..."

"You got it boss, whatever you want, just get me my dagger and then we'll go." Yeemik starts drawing a crude map of the current location, the road, the Neverwinter Wood and more specifically a route deep into the wood with a few landmarks like a stream, a small river crossing, and a rocky cliff face to skirt around.
With Ethan's tools and skill he and Tarja make much quicker work of the wolf collars. Within just a minute or two Ripper and the wolves make a quick exit from the cave and don't look back.
Elra finds the properties of the magical boots to be that of the Boots of False Tracks.
OOC: Yes you can mark down a successful short rest for all before using magic on Yeemik.
Reasonably certain as to its authenticity, the charlatan retrieves the dagger from (whoever had it last. Sildar?)
Dagger in hand, Arvelescorts the goblin to the mouth of the cave.
"Zeke?Would you mind going and escorting the other goblins to here while I have a word with my friend here? Thanks."
The charlatan and the goblin eye each other for a moment before exchanging the map for the dagger. As their hands touch, Arvelfeels light-headed for a moment, wobbling slightly in place. He recovers himself and his eyes suddenly flare with golden flame.
<Kuuntele minua ja noudata ohjeita!>
"Give me back the dagger, take your fellow goblins and get as far away from this place as you possibly can."
The golden light spills out of Arveland into Yeemik'seyes moments before Zekereturns with the other goblins.

Zeke gladly rounds up the rest of the Goblins and drags them towards the front of the cave. He's not gentle with them, 'helping' them along with the butt of his glaive.
His body language makes it clear he'll brook no disagreement or dissension from this filth.
Elra decides to follow Zeke out, helping if she can and once she's outside holds up the boots and shows them to Zeke. "These are good for hiding where you're going if people are tracking you."
I think I prefer carrying books...Fae would plop herself down by the little bit of goods she was able to lug to the entrance of the cave to catch her breath. She'd stare the goblins down as they're escorted out of the cave.
Ethansmiles at Tarja, as the last wolf rejoins the pack and they all depart.
"You've had training with these kinds of tools before haven't you? It shows in how you handle them."
Ethansmiles again, putting away his tools.
"Thanks for the help. It feels good to make use of my tools for others, even if they are only wolves I guess."
As Elracomes out from the other room carrying the boots, Ethanis about to ask her a question, before she heads outside with Zekeand Arvel.
Letting the question pass without being voiced, Ethanturns to Faeas she lets out sigh.
"Heavy load? Yeah I know that feeling."
Ethanpats his gauntlet.
"The integrated storage was well worth its cost to make."
"Even though I spend a lot of time working with tools, I'm not as strong as the average smithy."
"I prefer to work with this first if I can."
Ethantaps the side of his head.
"That's also why I am perfecting my programmable modules design."
"I spend the time to build the main output units..."
Ethanindicated the glove of the gauntlet, and then the rest of the gauntlet.
"Then I just need to build the little programmed units and plug them in to change the capabilities."
"Saves me having to build a whole new device, just to get the effect I want."
Ethanplaces his other hand on his gauntlet, looking off into the distance in thought.
"I hope one day to have perfected the techniques and be able to retire back to Lanton to teach them to a new generation."
Ethanlooks back at Fae,
"I really think they could revolutionise the school of artifice."
"Well, I'm going to do my share."
Ethanheads back to the other room to start moving crates out to the entrance.
Ethansees the remaining unidentified items, still waiting to be processed and picks them up, to make sure nothing is lost, until Elracan finish with them.
Ethanthen starts moving crates out to add to the pile Faestarted.
With the wolves taken care of, Tarja thanks Fae and Ethan for their help. In turn, she helps carry some of the boxes with the rest of the crowd. Then she settles down for a short break to recharge, meditate, and pray. The sound of the rushing water and the feeling of the cool, damp earth in the cave brings her closer to her roots, away from the smell of burning goblins and the clash of metal weaponry.
She wonders about the smooth white animal horn. Was it nature magic that it’s infused with? That would be appropriate.
Ooc: short rest time! Can I learn about the horn by meditating on it during the short rest? Or do elra/Ethan/ have it handled?
Zeke smiles as Elra shows him the boots. 'Those are lovely boots and a nice trick indeed. They may come in handy as we venture further into the forest here to find our friend.'
He looks down the path at the backs of the Goblins as they scurry away. 'We shouldn't tarry too long here, I'm virtually certain those cretins will gather their friends and come back to reclaim their lair as soon as they can.'
