Grateful for Ash's advice, Huey collects his precious few items and then lumbers up to the edge of the cliff and without thinking (because, he doesn't really think anyways!), jumps over.

Losing concentration, he reaches out to touch the spider webs on the way down ("oooooh, sticky!") but successfully completes his descent, before joining up with the rest of the group.
Like the rest of the party, Duke falls into the pool, creating a sizable splash that soaks the rest of the party. Unfortunately, it does not put out the fires that Enkindle lit. "Observation: Those fires have alerted our enemies. Declaration: This unit recommends retreating from this location immediately. All further strategic decisions can be made after this group has distanced itself from Velkynvelve."And as if it were punctuating that, Duke uses its body to start ushering the party out of the pool as quickly as possible, before running away and leading the party towards the exit.

Ash watches as Enkindle begins to glow with flames, sizzling the webs around her and Phineas, ideally freeing the both. However as the flames spread, her hope diminishes. "Oh for heavens sake... Duke's right. We have to go. NOW!."
She will help by forcefully dragging anyone to their feet and nudging them to run, remaining a little towards the back with Duke to usher people on as well as help Enkindle and Phineas catch up.
Ideally the whole group is now running away along the path beside the main river with a dope fire spreading behind them.
I am pleased... Run mortal. We have much to attend to...

As the flames alight the webbing, freeing Phineas, the gnome spins in the air as he drops into the water. Coming up for air, he offers a thankful wink and smile toward Enkindle before realizing what the others already have. “We need to run!” He joins the others in beating a hasty retreat, looking about to make sure his friends — Huey, Ash, Svana and now Enkindle — all are making the run to safety as well.

As everyone was exiting the river, you could see the cavern exit up ahead. You suddenly could hear a horrible droning buzz echoing through the cavern, followed by inhuman shrieking. Alarm horns sounded out as four chasme demons pursued a pair of vrock demons into the cavern up above from the west passage. The demons swooped and buzzed around, initially ignoring you all as both groups savagely assault each other. The demons’ arrival caught the drow off guard. The drow rushed to defend the outpost from a possible attack. Eventually, the demons attacked the drow in a bloody battle, and you all used the opportunity to continue to run away in the northern passageway, finally free. Furious, Ilvara could be seen and heard up above during the panic. "The prisoners! They're escaping!" she cried, but the demons took her attention for now. You were able to get away. Free at last!
The question now was: where to?
According to Jimjar, Buppido, Sarith, Shuushar, and Stool, the best way out of the Underdark is to travel to Blingdenstone, where caravans regularly travel the Underdark to the surface. The issue was, it was over a month away, and many locations were in between. Here is the order of locations to get to Blingdenstone:
VELKYNVELVE > THE DARKLAKE > SLOOBLUDOP > GRACKLSTUGH > NEVERLIGHT GROVE > BLINGDENSTONE
Thus brings us to Chapter two, chunk one.
CHAPTER: TWO / CHUNK ONE: DAY ONE OF FOUR
DUE WED @ MIDNIGHT / GOAL: REACH THE DARKLAKE
MAIN OBJECTIVE
Survive four days in the Underdark and reach The Darklake.
TRAVEL / FOOD / DROW PURSUIT
According to Stool, it is going to take about four days to reach The Darklake. Two things we're going to manage in this chapter is travel, and food. For each day of travel, there will be encounters. I will make the rolls and tell you what you encounter. You will also need to think about food. Unless you find a way to forage and eat, you will gain levels of exhaustion and die. No exceptions. I mean it this time. Finally, Ilvara is not going to let you all just leave, her reputation is at stake - you are all being followed and tracked.
TRAVEL:For each of the four days I will roll and post encounters. These can involve anything from monsters, food, water, locations, events, etc. Each day, someone needs to tell me what pace you will be travelling at. Here are the paces:
FAST: -5 to Wisdom (Perception) rolls, and no foraging. No stealth. NORMAL: no bonuses or penalties. SLOW: Improved foraging. (More food per success)
FOOD:Each day, each one of you can make a foraging roll to try and find food and water for yourself. A foraging character makes a DC15 Wisdom (Survival) check. You can help each other. Each success (or group successes) will yield a certain amount of food depending on the fungus found. I will let you know how many pound of food you all find. EACH CHARACTER NEEDS 1 POUND OF FOOD AND 1 POUND OF WATER PER DAY OR YOU WILL SUFFER ONE LEVEL OF EXHAUSTION. REACH LEVEL 6 AND YOU DIE.
DROW PURSUIT:Ilvara and her officers with her small scouting party, and hunting you down. For mechanics purposes, the group starts with a pursuit level of THREE. If the pursuit level reaches FIVE, Ilvara and her officers and scouts catch up to you and battle begins, one you will very most likely lose. If you get the pursuit level to ZERO, the Drow lose your trail for the Chapter. Here are activities that move the pursuit level up or down:
-1 for each day at "FAST" pace -1 crossing a river +1 for each random encounter +1 for each day at "Slow" pace
FAEZRESS
An unusual magical energy the drow call faerzress pervades much of the Underdark. The origin of this mysterious arcane power is unknown. Legend claims it is an ancient elven magic dating back to the time when the dark elves were first exiled from the world above. When you are in a faezress clouded area, i'll let you know. Some say it enhances magic, and causes madness.
MADNESS
At the best of times, the Underdark is a bizarre, alien, and inhospitable world, and the Faezress just seems to amplify this. Everybody from this point on starts with a MADNESS LEVEL of ZERO. If you reach LEVEL FIVE, you go insane and are out of the game. No exceptions. Depending on the encounter, I will call for a roll and give out a DC number.
"Step Step Thud, join me scouting ahead. Duke keep the front line. The weakest ones should be in the middle. The ones in the end of the line should have ranged attacks and good notion of the environment. " - making use of the telepathic link, Ree'lyn addresses himself to the group issuing tactical positioning and speaking some of his strategy. Glancing around he wonders what has become of the others who were in the pen with these companions. Had they died? Had they left first? - "We must follow the water to disguise our tracks and leave no sign of our passage. When we get to a safe distance we will have a much needed rest. "

As the crew enters the deep, dark, underdark, Huey feels more comfortable and 'at home'. Being an outcast, he's shied away from public places most of his short life, not appreciating the jeers and stares and rotten tomato throwing that usually accompanies the crowds. Stupid enough to not really feel any pressure of being pursued, he casually joins the group as they adventure deeper and deeper into the darkness.
Shortly into the first day of fleeing, during a period when the group is silently marching through the tunnels, the sound of Huey's empty stomach growling reverberates through cavern. Without asking for permission, he stops and starts to forage for grubs and other edibles in the area (Survival: 10).
Phineas bumps into Huey, not realizing that he's stopped in his tracks, looking for food. Together, the two search the area for food: 16
Like a pea brained chicken, Huey ends up eating gravel, thinking it's food.
Do not forage yet. When I post the encounters for the day, then you can forage, and I will let you know if your foraging rolls yield anything. The encounters tell me what fungus are in the area, if any. Remember it's a DC15 Survival roll and if you fail you find nothing. Obviously, someone can give you food if they find extra.

We will begin day one. We will do these things IN ORDER each day. Don't get ahead of yourself and do things out of order, please. Wait for me to post. You guys can always RP in the meantime.

Ash, spotting Phineas and Enkindle caught in the web, panickedly begins looking through her things. The voices in her head grow louder in the panic.
Ah! What do I have?! What can I do?! Damn it you two!
As she digs through her things, she pulls out her crossbow along with a few bolts and notches one, aiming to help fend off the spiders with Talike.
