Darion relays the information he picked up to the group when they are at rest "They seem genuine.. and their combat skill should be effective against the Yuan-ti. Let us hope the other group has fared as well!"
With that, Darion will spend a little time reading his spellbook, but exhausted from all the unaccustomed manual labour he will quickly turn in for the night and fall asleep.
You each take your time massaging your strained muscles and tending to a patch of sunburn here or there before you lie down on the much more comfortable bed rolls. The col breeze coming off the lake keeps the building at just the right temperature to keep you from being too hot. The exhaustion from the long journey and anticipation of the coming return journey causes you to quickly long for sleep. The gentle lapping of lake waves and subtle sounds of insects seem to drown out all your cares and each of you find rest.
Erro- Though your legs have become a bit more sturdy, when you lie down your body seems to wiggle as if still on the floating catamaran. You close your eyes and breathe slowly, deeply still feeling the rocking motion and slowly it begins to fade. You open your eyes and try to focus on the central beam holding up the roof and continue your slow breaths. After about 20 minutes the feeling subsides and you feel as though you've conquered the effect. You take a moment to look over the others and see Elia is the only one awake. She looks out through one of the windows up at the sky and out across the lake. Her expression contains both concern and hope. Your back aches a bit from the angle and you turn away. The ache disappears and you find yourself too comfortable to move from your spot and hear Elia return to her cot after a minute or so and you fall fast asleep.
You all awaken to the sound of a horn that resounds for about 5 seconds then repeats twice for the same duration. You quickly gather your things and prepare for the trip. You exit the building grabbing a hand full of nuts or berries on your way out and see the village is in full war mode. Villagers gather around the fleet of boats. You watch as canoes are carried out into the water and catamarans are dragged along logs from inland storage buildings into the water with organized rapidity. In total you see 12 catamarans and three long ships now docked at the harbor, most bustling with villagers stowing supplies. You make your way out to your own catamaran and find it also being stocked with a small crate of dried rations. The makeshift drying rack and meat from the plesiosaur gone. The chief, who stands near the end of the dock by a longship catches your eye and walks towards you. "We took the meat on the rack and replaced it with some of our own rations. Your meat still needs a few more days to cure in the sun before it is ready. Those staying behind will make good use of it here. If this is an unwelcome trade we can return the meat." Kellar and Elia share a glance and nod accepting of the trade. "We appreciate your kindness. What can we do to help?" Kellar asks. "Be ready to sail within the hour." the chief replies simply and heads back to his vessel.
Rawk will try to assist the other villagers in moving crates and supplies using her flight to her advantage. She didn't quite know how she felt about this village but she seemed to like how the people here worked. She was impressed by their collective harmony of cooperation.

Erro will not tell Elia that he spied her looking out of the window, but later in the morning when there’s a moment to speak he’ll say “Elia, I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to split with your man, if I’m not overstepping here, and come with us on this dangerous mission. You must be worried sick. I am amazed by your dedication and bravery and honored to have you here with us, you know!”
You all watch as Rawk eagerly waddles up to the chief and requests to help load supplies point to her wings and flexing. He smiles and nods pointing to an elven female at the beginning of the dock who seems to be shouting orders and taking notes on some parchment. Rawk takes to the air and flies over. After the female and chief exchange a look she nods to Rawk's assistance and begins pointing to crates and ships. Rawk quickly lifts the heavy crates and flies them over to the corresponding ship with ease being careful not to spill any of its contents. After witnessing the usefulness of Rawk's abilities the female cracks a smile and begins to exploit this advantage.
Thanks to their organization and Rawk's swiftness you are ready to set off 15 minutes early. You watch as canoes carefully guide the catamarans and longships out of the harbor into open water before they turn back and return to the village. You look back at the harbor and see three catamarans still docked along with 15 canoes. As you pull into formation you hear a loud horn born from the lead longship and watch as all the vessels lower their sails in response. Kellar does the same and you catch the wind. You are positioned in the middle of the fleet behind the lead longship and flanked by catamarans and a longship to the north and south. You watch as the long oars of the longship stretch down into the water and push the vessel forward. On each catamaran you witness the same and follow suit. The first hour passes with a aura of excitement and thrill. Your rested muscles seem fresh and ready for the workout. The morning sun shines bright and partially blocks your view as you head due east. Kellar smiles at this sight and says, "Good work all of you. Do your best to stay in formation. I'll rest around mid day." At the coming of the second hour you ready yourselves for a break and watch as the other crews continue their rowing.
You continue on for another 2 hours straight. The sun constantly rising higher and higher into the sky and warming the air. Your muscles begin to protest and ache but you fight through the pain and continue your pace and place within the fleet. A loud horn blow disrupts the sounds of splashing and chanting and you all cease rowing. The sails still hold the slight wind and you continue forward taking the momentary break to rest your muscles and eat. You open the crate of supplies and find an assortment of fruits, nuts and vegetables as well as some dried meats. You each take small portions and find them quite filling. An hour passes as you glide slowly across the water. You're making excellent time but you aren't sure if you will be able to maintain the pace. Another 5 minutes or so pass before the horn blows again and you resume your rowing. Elia offers to use her spells again while Kellar still steers the vessel.
Rawk thought she was prepared for the journey but as the hours kept passing she began to ponder whether aiding in the loading process was still a good idea.

While most of you manage to fight through the hours of rowing, Rawk begins to struggle. Kellar takes her place and has Rawk fill in at the helm while he rows. The time passes slowly and painfully but you manage to keep pace. You hear the now familiar horn blow from the lead longship and you thankfully take your rest. The gentle breeze from earlier in the day begins to turn in your favor and the ships speed along. You feel like a similar effort may be possible but would be difficult. The sun sits high in the sky, just beginning to descend towards the western horizon, heating the air. Kellar eats a quick meal before pitching his small tent and says, "Try to keep up. Wake me if you need to. I have sailed for days without sleep and can do it again if needed." Then lying down on his small cot he closes his eyes and begins to sleep.
You see motion on the lead longship and suddenly two warriors holding small colored flags climb to each branch of the mast and begin signaling to the rest of the fleet. You see one of the nearby catamarans glide towards you and the warrior helming the rudder shouts, "We will rest and sail with the wind as long as it holds." After his pronouncement he quickly adjusts the rudder and glides back to formation. You welcome this announcement and take the time to rest your muscles. The breeze carries on for hours as Rawk manages to catch the wind and maintain course behind the lead ship. It takes you a brief while to get a good glimpse of the shoreline, your view blocked by the vast armada surrounding you, but once you do you notice just how far out you really are. The wind seems to be carrying the fleet west but also slightly north. The southern shoreline, that you used to stay within 400 feet of, now appears to be almost a mile away.
Rawk tends to the ship and looks out across the lake. Anger grows inside her having to be replaced by Kellar because she was too weak. She does her best to hide her emotions remaining silent and will do her best not to screw up the steering of the ship.
Ellis will look out at where they are at, knowing that with all the others here around them, traversing these waters feels safer compared to before. Hopefully they can get back to Dom-Gar soon though.
The afternoon sun slowly descends and begins to disappear as Kellar stirs and awakens. Though you occasionally have to row to maintain formation the majority of the afternoon is spent sailing and resting. You see many of the catamarans and longships trailing long lines of rope from fishing poles. Here and there a line is dragged in and holds 2 or three fish on the hooks spaced along the length of the rope. You watch as the warriors disembowel the fish and eat it raw. The heat and wind slowly fade, as does the light from the sun and you hear the horn blow. You assume your rowing positions and begin to row forward for another hour. Kellar looks out across the distant shore and says, "We've made good time. It's harder to tell from this distance but if the weather holds we should reach Kainui in the next two days." At the expiration of an hour you hear the same horn blow twice in two short bursts and the rowing ceases. The amber and red sky is now replaced with dark blue and purple as the half moon and multitude of stars illuminate the sky.
Your muscles are sore but still functional. You see a torchlight from the lead ship and watch as the carrier tracks from end to end lighting what you can only assume is a container of a large candle or oil. The elevated and elongated ends of the ship now alight to serve as a beacon for the rest of the fleet. You watch as the other two longships follow suit and illuminate the water around you. You can just make out the outline of each of the catamarans nearby and presume this is how they keep from crashing into one another in the darkness. You each eat from the crate of dried meats, nuts and fruits before preparing yourselves for sleep. The gentle rocking of the waves and surrounding strength of the fleet does wonders for your minds and you find it much easier to get comfortable compared to when you were sailing alone.
