Erro’s sword passes through the beast with diminished effect, and his spell fails to connect. Erro raises his shield to brace for the counterattack and is unprepared for what turns out to be a unexpected psychic assault. The first he shakes his head, but the second strikes a nerve and he holds his head as he falls in anguish.
Erro will use his movement to stand back up, talking himself up as he does so. Assuming the creature he has already damaged is still in range after using the movement, he will make an attack. His eyes flare golden as he enchants his foe with Hunter’s Mark and now another strike:
Tempest focuses and moves to another tree while continuing to perform the ritual. Sweat pours from his body as he strains to concentrate. "It's working... We just need more time."

Rawk blocks the first attack with her axe parrying it to the side then as she raises it to strike she feels the blade stab into her stomach. She fights through the pain and brings her axe down attempting to split the vessel in two.

Ellis and Erro spring towards the Vessel. Ellis digs his sword in, twisting it around and Rawk sees an opening and buries his axe in it's skull.
Zombie con save to keep going: 14
Erro summons his own magic, and slashes through the Shadow Snake, flickers of magical energy burning through it's form. With a strange howl it dissipates, leaving just one left, circling Erro menacingly.

With a strange, wet sound the shadows seem to drain from the Vessel, and it collapses to the ground. A blast of anger from the Lingering Shadow assaults your minds.
Lingering Shadow Turn
Shadows curl into the Lake, and another corpse sits up. It raises it's hand and Fleshbleeder appears there. It uses it's remaining movement to start walking towards Tempest.
Other Things Turn
The Shadow Snake darts out, and Erro feels his mind under assault again. Again make a DC 13 Charisma save. Damage: 13 and fall prone (half on a success and do not fall prone).
The banging on the door grows more intense, and clearly more things have arrived

Erro is heartened by the vanquishing of the first shadow snake and he faces down the next psychic blast with more confidence, standing and gritting his teeth as a drop of blood spills from his nose. As a bonus action Erro will change Hunter's Mark to target the remaining shadow snake and go at it with his blade:
Attack: 23 Damage: 7 , Hunter's Mark if hit: 6.
"Rawk, there are more amassing on the other side of the door. Be ready to use your great strength to brace the door if it is breached! Leave this persistent zombie to Ellis and me. I don't think you can take another hit like that!"
If the shadow snake is still alive Erro will stay engaged with it. If it has been vanquished, he will use his movement to try to get within 5 feet of the vessel, and between it and Tempest if at all possible.
Ellis sees that Rawk was able to strike down the zombie as it collapsed, glad before feeling that blast of anger. But then he could see another zombie is now walking toward Tempest again. He had heard Erro, agreeing with him as he nodded. "Yeah, we need you to keep the rest from getting in here. We'll take care of the zombie." Ellis said back, prepared to defend Tempest no matter what. He will move to get between Tempest and the zombie, next to Erro if he came up. If he's with Erro and they are within 5 feet of the zombie, he would take the Dodge Action but if they aren't within 5 feet of it, he would take the Ready Action to attack once it came within 5 feet of him. But if Erro didn't come up, he would be prepared for the zombie to come attack him by taking the Dodge Action instead.
Movement: Move between Tempest and the zombie (up next to Erro if Erro comes up)
Action: Ready to Attack if if it comes within 5 feet of him, or Dodge depending on conditions above

As Tempest's beam hits the next tree, the light burns through it, and the tree bursts asunder in a flash of moonlight, burning shards of rotten bark flying apart. Only one tree remains (the one damaged by Erro).
Erro's blow wounds the Shadow Snake, darkness poring from it like blood and it seems to be struggling to hold on to its form - but it is still active.
The Vessel continues walking towards Tempest and Ellis, though when it sees Ellis pull up into a fighting stance it pauses a moment, preparing to charge in (it would have to have taken the dash action to reach you, and obviously did not know your attack roll wasn't enough to hit)
Rawk half-runs and half-flies towards the creaking and under pressure door, bracing herself against it.
((The Shadow is doing really well with it's saves unfortunately, luck is sure to turn soon!))
Tempest focuses on the ritual and though he can feel the shadow weakening with each anchor that is destroyed, but it's rage seems to give it extra strength for a moment, holding on desperately to its place on the material plane. Tempest knows the magic of the seed is not infinite, but it still has power left to continue for the moment....
