With the salty brine from the spray mixing with the taste of blood in her mouth, Shae's voice cracks and she is unable to coordinate the actions of the crew and the group. The Professor tries his utmost to create a tidal wave to help keep the ship steady, but even though he taps into his magical resources, his concentration is shaken by the rocking boat, and his timing is slightly off, and the boat is shaken violently. The waves wash over the bow, literally drenching Berrus in the process. As he tries to blink through the salt water, he is hit by a second wave, gasping as he comes up for air and barely holding onto the railing. The water from the waves is starting to pool underneath the rowing decks, putting the ship even deeper into the water.
You also see some of the gear having been washed out from the places you stored it in, and now lying in between the rowing benches. A few items have washed overboard as well.
Maxine, I'll allow the help action, if you succeed on an Intelligence check DC 14- since you're busy steering the boat, I want to see how much mental space she has to help out with commands. Berrus, I want you to attempt a different check for subsequent attempts. We're at three successes and two failures, I'm not counting the failed perception roll.
You can try to bail out the water as an action now as well- let me know how you want to try this, and I'll determine the check and DC.

Shae has learned a lot from her time working together with the crew, and her commands help get things under control quickly. With her commands, most of the items that were washed away from the storage spaces are brought back and the bulky water barrels lashed down around them to keep everything in place.
Seeing also that the sail is now uselessly flapping in the wind, Shae orders Bertrand and Brax to take up the sails, and together with Fang's help, the task is done quickly. To move the ship forward though, it now needs to be rowed.

With his failure to stop the wave, the Professor turns his attention to quickly relocating the water out of the ship using his Shape Water cantrip, moving 125 cubic feet of water at a time out of the ship and back into the sea (5 foot cube of water).
Seeing Berrus’ attempt to help, the Professor conjures a large bucket right in front of the dwarf (minor conjuration class ability).
Berrus and the Professor working together, the water is quickly removed from the boat. Although you've been surprised by the ferocity of the storm, you've handled things pretty well so far. That's when you hear Fang shout from the crow's nest: "Reef ahead!"
I need someone trying to push the boat away from the reefs by rowing or by magic. Alternatively, you can try to help everyone on board lash themselves to something sturdy and brace for impact.
Moving the boat will require at least two people attempting the check together. Both will roll, and if one person exceeds the DC, it can compensate for anything below the DC.
Anyone attempting to row the boat now gets to add 2 to their total, since it's easier to row when you have solid footing, rather than sitting ankle deep in water.
We are now at 5 successes and one failure.

Snively will try and coordinate with the others and use his remaining Tidal Wave to push the boat away or float the boat off of the reef if it can’t be avoided by other methods.
OOC: Consider it a help action for the rowers, I guess?
As Shae coordinates and shouts out tasks with the assistance of Maxine, she will keep an eye out for lengths of rope. She will want to make sure there’s enough for the rowers and bailers. Then, she’d shout out commands for those close to their ropes to begin lashing themselves for safety. Should they find themselves in need of help, Shae will assist, prioritizing securing them. Should she be able to, she’d also use her shape water cantrip when possible to keep the deck clear of water under their feet.
Berrus starts to put his back into it and starts moving the boat out further to sea, while Shae is using every bit of rope to help the various people lash themselves to the boat, leaving enough space so that Berrus and Bertrand who has joined him to row, and for the Professor to keep casting his tidal wave. Timing his spell with Berrus' rowing and Fang's warnings, the wave pushes the boat to the side and you scrape past the reef. The impact shakes you all, but thanks to being lashed down, no one gets seriously injured.
Berrus and Berrand keep rowing, and about ten minutes later, you pass the worst area of the storm. The ship has taken a beating, with the sail having ripped in multiple places, and the hull having scraped past the reef, but it holds and you are continuing on your journey, pushing onwards through the rain, with four of you rowing for half an hour at a stretch. With the heavy waves and the rain, it is unlikely any of you would find sleep anyway.
As dawn breaks, the rain lets up, and the seas calm. EXhausted and weary, with blisters on your hands, you're very glad to be able to unfurl the sails again and take some rest. Fang does what he can mending the sail.

Shae could feel the sea water sting the laceration on her cheek and her hands throbbed from the blisters. Though, refusing to take a breather, she'd make her way over to the Professor. Gesturing to his thigh, she'd ask for permission to place her hand over it to mend his wound, and perhaps even some blisters? She'd speak in her now familiar celestial phrases, summoning Kam's sparkly pink magic to heal him.
The warlock would then track down their ranger. Once she was able to find Fang, Shae would complete a medical check on him too. She'd call upon her magic to mend his wound(s) as well. She'd also make sure to give Mushu a treat for staying safe.
Once they were tended to, she'd do her rounds checking on the overall wellness of the Captain, crew, Berrus and Maxine. Eventually Shae would take a seat and gingerly begin trying to clean her own wound on her cheek to prepare it for healing once she's had a breather. She had decided to sit on guard with Maxine, remaining alert with her. Though, Shae would be guilty of taking a short rest in her friends company. Shae wanted to replenish some energy reserves before she would cure her own wound.
Looking up as Shae approaches, a bleary-eyed Gnome responds to her healing, saying, "My thanks," as his wound disappears and his aches and pains lessen. Squinting into the dawn light, the Professor says, "We survived. Let's see what we have lost." Snively helps with inventorying their supplies, checking to see what might have suffered damage during the storm.
Maxine was glad for the company, but insisted for Shae to take a rest: "Give yourself a break once, will you? Captain said we are out of the real danger for now. Well, was not that bad - still like it more than monkeys - but if anything else shows up, I'll wake you and you better be fresh!"
Maxine did not know the secret of inspiring others but could add her voice to Shae's (can it be used as a Help action?)
