Torsus thanked the abbot for his good will but ultimately had little to say to the man. Torsus remaining introspective for most of the day.
Torsus apparently hadn't been paying attention during something, as he wasn't sure how the druid may be a factor in their path and he stuttered out a few words that made no sense in response before saying Apologies, I must have missed something, I am unsure how we may come across him, even if only potentially, but if that is the case then.... Good for us. His enthusiasm was sincere if confused, and it was clear he had missed something but that it also wasn't that important. And as Aeyd has said, I don't recall any further issues here that require our attention, and if there are and we've all forgotten them, they must not be of any grave import. So let us be about it. I just acquired atleast a few days worth of food, so Rollo won't have to work so hard. I'll keep them with my donkey but as they are likely to spoil if left too long, we should eat them before going through our regular rations.
Torsus couldn't help but snicker at Claire's comment, the girl was obviously green to the world, so he wouldn't say anything but it also wouldn't stop him from enjoying the moment at her expense. Slipping himself atop his donkey, he too readied himself to leave with the others, little else to do but go afterall.
Waiting then, until they were about to exit Goldenfields, he pulls out his winters clothing, which is much like one of those mexican articles of clothing that has a hole for the head, but ultimately looks like a blanket. Allowing his arms to move freely, or to be under the soon-to-be-warmth of it.
Once the 'trail' had been picked up, the only additional that Torsus would say is to Dakkurz, that If stealth need be an option, you need only speak to my mind, and I can relay -wordlessly- whatever you need me to, so that there will be no more noise that our boots and hooves.
Dallurz nods in acknowledgment. Good to know though I don't think stealth will be needed just yet, if at all. We aren't exactly a quite bunch but iI'll keep it in mind. Now let's go.
Dakkurz rides on and a couple hours later you reach a small hillside cave. Dakkurz dismount and orders some of her goblins to search the surrounding area while she herself enters the cave. Anyone following her finds a small burnt out firepit in the center with a few discarded furs surrounding it. The cave is quite shallow, to the point where you can see its end from the mouth. They were definitely here. The embers are still warm.
Narz followed suit in dismounting from Vigo, but linger back long enough to whisper some command in goblin. Vigo grumbles but nods and appear to focus on keeping an eye out on the general area while the hobgoblin wizard at least followed after Dakkurz. Narz then enters with Spaz on his shoulders, acting as his eyes and ears. "Then they couldn't have gotten very far. Claire, if you would? You mentioned having magic for tracking our rogue." He requests as he knelt down by the pit and appearing to examine it. Spaz hops down at that point, and would begin sniffing and looking around for any to search for signs of foes or poorly disguised extension to the cave.

Dakkurz raises a hand to stop Claire. Before you do that, how far will it work? Camps relatively fresh sure but they could be miles off still. I'd rather not waste the spell if it's range is so limited.
Spaz meanwhile sniffs around the cave, not finding any extentions, but still managing to catch a scent. Spaz flys outside the cave and points North with a paw.
Dakkurz nods and leaves the cave. Then hold off for now. Seems your beast believes they continued North. Probably heading for the nearest town. We'll travel for an hour and then see if your spell picks them up. If not we'll continue a bit further and set up camp before we lose daylight. Won't do us much good to wander around in the dark. Let's go.
Dakkurz mounts up and soon the party is traveling north again. As promised after an hour of travel Dakkurz asks for Claire to cast her spell. Claire senses nothing. You all continue for quite some time until the spell is nearly up when Claire suddenly senses her target, exactly 1000ft away due North. Communicating this to Dakkurz she orders the posse to pick up the pace. The sun is on its way down, giving you maybe another hour and a half before dark but offering plenty of light for the fight to come. You seem to close in fast on Snigbat, who seems to be sitting still as Claire can tell he doesn't seem to be moving. Finally you reach the top of a hill. Out in the distance you can see the light of a riverside town. You can just make out a bridge over the river leading to another town across the river. Its easily several hours from here but it might offer much needed rest after the fight to come. The sight in the valley below might make you wish you were in that town as well. 4 goblins and 4 bugbears, the remains of Snigbats traitors, are camped below. With them are three hillgiants, possibly remnants of the attack on Goldenfields. Dakkurz stops her horse at the top of the hill, a look of pure rage on her face. All tactics you might try to discuss fly out the window when in a fit of rage Dakkurz shouts Charge! Kill the bastards! before charging into battle.

Aeyd had been more than prepared to sneak up on the camp, however it seemed that Dakkurz had another plan in mind. She glances over to the others. "Well that could have gone better..."The monk sucks in a breath and shrugs. "It cannot be helped..."

Torsus hadn't been surprised .. considering the race of the leader. You can take the orc out of the savage lands, but you can't take the savage out of the orc.. he thought to himself, though he preferred it this way. Sure, a surprise attack was fun but he couldn't be as flashy with it as he would. As Drakka and Aeyd rush forward, the Tortle had been readying his wand before it had all went down, allowing him to be readier than the rest of the group (Aeyd nonwithstanding) his hands face two separate directions as he waddles forward thirty feet. His finger pointing towards H2, while his wand aims at B4, and after some swift chanting and motions, a single blast fires at each target. Both hissing as they flew, dropping images of maggots on the ground that dissappeared when they reached it.
The bolt heading for H2 was compelled to PULL the target closer... intending to pull him out of position to be easily surrounded, while the one going after B4 had a forceful shove, intended to knock him into B3 if the attack landed. Meanwhile he passively scanned for any 'bow users' among the enemy.

Aeyds first shot catches her target unawares, striking him in the back and piercing a lung. The arrow right behind it strikes as well but only for a glancing blow.
Torsus's twin blasts meanwhile also strike their targets, pulling the hillgiant closer to your allies and pushing the bugbear away. As Torsus scans the battlefield he sees the goblins all have shortbows while there are a couple javelins left over for the bugbears to throw if need be. The rest all seem equipped for melee combat.

Unfortunately most of the arrows fail to pierce its blubber hide and the ones that stick don't seem to phase it much. As Rollo pushes forward a shimmer of magical energy surrounds him. One of the goblins aims an arrow at the charging barbarian bht can't seem to bring himself to fire, and instead turns his aim towards Aeyd, managing to hit the monk with his shot. B4 pushes his ally off him and moves away from his comrades, drawing his javelin and tossing it at Dakkurz. Dakkuz ducks in close to her horse and the javelin goes clear over her head.
Claire raises her hand and chants. "Divine Light, compel the wind to heed my call, stir the air to bludgeon my foes!" casting Wind Wall from z13 to z19 and z19 to v19. (B3 and g2 make DC 16 STR saving throw or take 3d8 bludgeoning. Claire moves to l13, next to Dakkurz. "The Wind Wall will keep them from retreating easily if we can corner them in it!"
With Claires spell a strong gust of wind blows up the fresh snow off the ground behind the enemy, sweeping up one of the goblins caught in its path and sending him flying, only to crash into the ground with a dull thud. The bugbear caught in the wind manages to hold its ground but the sheer force of the wind causes cuts to appear on its body. He pushes himself forward and out of the windwall with a loud grunt. Catching his breath he moves along the wall and to Snigbats side. Grabbing his only javelin he tosses it at Rollo, not only managing to push through the spell protecting the barbarian but managing to score an exceptional hit, striking Rollo right in the calf.
Dakkurz's own Bugbears begin to move up, the first drawing his morningstar and charging forward as fast as his feet will take him.
From atop Vigo's back Narz shakes his head in disappointment. Again he is reminded of the differences outside a grander host, and the price of either exile or distancing oneself from the more regimented and 'proper' lifestyle. However, rather than waste time calling out disparaging remarks or try to reign in Dakkurz, he instead focused his attention on the band arrayed before them. "Hmn... This would've been more magnificently done, but a battlefield is a battlefield." He muttered as he drew forth a rune covered black iron rod. "And traitors will be made to listen to the sweet symphony." As the last couple of words left his mouth tinged with an arcane power, Narz appears to casually flick the rod about before focusing it on a single point.
Everything from loose earth to the very wind itself in a space around a distant point began to inexplicable start pulling to a small black mote in the air. One that appeared to spawn from nothingness itself, but would greedily pull everything and one nearby into its crushing embrace. Then almost as soon as it appeared, the mote would vanish, releasing its hold on anything pressed against it. At which point, Spaz takes flight high above the fight at rush and would continue to fly juts overhead of Rollo about 40 or so feet above.

H1, B4 and G3 all mamage to resist the pull but this matters little for G3 who succumbs to the powerful magic, practically tearing him apart from the sheer force. H3 tries to resist but falls prone and is sucked towards the center of the spell while babbling like a baby the entire time.
Dakkurz's remaining forces begin to move up with B3 leading the charge with a rallying cry, and his fellow goblinoids soon to follow with a volley of arrows.
H1 wipes away the snow that had settled on him during Narz's spell and then reaches into a sack on his back, pulling out a rather large boulder. He winds up before tossing it at Torsus directly ahead of him. The rock overshoots by mere inches, leaving a slight scratch on Torsus's shell as it just misses and sending snow in all directions. H3 meanwhile stands up and goes from crying baby to roaring with the rage of a barbarian. He slams his greatclub to the ground and charges forward. At the same time B2 also charges forward finally catching up with his allies.
Dakkurz continues charging forward, reaching down from her horse and grabbing the javelin that missed her and turning it back on her enemies. While rushing forward she throws it at the bugbear near Aeyd, scewring it clean through and proping up its corpse in the snow. She then draws her own javelin and tosses it ahead of her, striking B4 in the gut. She brings her horse to a halt and places a hand on her sword, glaring straight at Snigbat.
Dakkurz's goblin forces on the Southside of the battlefield finally move closer to fight and draw their bows. From their current position they have free range of all of Snigbats traitors trapped by the windwall. With surprising discipline for goblins they all draw and loose at the same time. Several arrows strike their targets, sg1 and sb4 both falling for good from the volley. Snigbat panics but find he can't retreat straight back. Looking over to the giants and back at his fallen allies and decides to make a break for the giants. One of his last remaining bugbears moves up to Rollo to help block his bosses escape, though he can't quite bring himself to swing his weapon at the barbarian despite knowing he's an enemy.
H2 runs forward and leaps in the air, landing on and squishing B1 beneath his massive body weight and causing the ground to shake and displacing the loose snow.
Aeyd blinks in surprise when she hears Rollo's charging battle cry, only to get out a small chuff as a smirk tugs at the corner of her lips. With Claire's wall of wind and Dakkurz taking care of her original enemy, the monk switches aim onto one of the remaining bugbears in this area, B3, and takes two shots at it!

Torsus seems unphased at what had just happened, though internally his adrenaline had shot sky high, but that familiar hazy-violet aura began to form around him, and a smirk appeared on his face as he waited for one of the nearer H's (2, or 3) to open its mouth... whether in disbelief, shock, anger, or to roar/talk etc... at which point he would cast Mage Hand, and order the hand to swiftly fly into the things mouth, and lodge itself in the creatures throat at about mid-neck.

Action 1 - Attack with Shortbow on B3 - Attack: 23 Damage: 6
Action 2 - Pew pew on B3 again - Attack: 19 Damage: 9
She will then carefully start making her way towards the hillgiant and Snigbat.
(Not entirely sure if going diagonal is 10ft or not, but regardless she'll stop at V13!)

Literally Torsus @ the boulder: https://thumbs.gfycat.com/AchingGivingFlickertailsquirrel-mobile.mp4
