As the group details the events of the day, they find the quiet within The Wishing Well welcome. It had felt like their day was a constant rush and these short moments of rest brought them comfort. As the group slowly finishes their meal, Renard enters the room and clears the plates.
Paren reaches into his bag and pulls out the note he had gotten back from Krusk before. "Here is my suggestion. I will try to decode this note tonight, as I think it may have some answers for us. In the morning we can go and try to find the rest of Gunthar's crates. Once we do I can talk to the entity again, as long as we don't bring the stone to Krusk too quickly. I will act as a conduit for the entity, you all can ask any questions you would like and I will relay the answers back to you. If you are not satisfied with what you are hearing then we take the stones to Krusk and he can cleanse them."
"This is not my preferred ending but I would rather lose this entity than lose you all as my friends. I think there is greater danger coming based on what Falaine reported before she left."
"Oh, and Finan, please carry my weapons. If I do suddenly turn then I will only be able to use my fists, which I am not very good at. I trust that if there is a need you will give them back to me."

Reluctantly, Finan places his hand on the weapons and drags them across the table towards himself."I'm really sorry, Paren. You're a good man, I can tell." He lets out a deep sigh, perhaps finally catching a glimpse of Paren's way of thinking. He still does not understand why the man would even want to help a potential opponent to Shamara, but his thoughts did not seem so erratic and confused as before.
The idea of trying to see Aiden again had been in the back of his mind all day, and now he started toying with it again. "Do I really want to risk it? And if I do, do I want to go alone, or invite others along?"
He shoots a glance at Jonathan and nods to himself. "He's got the right idea, I need something stronger than this ale. If you'll excuse me?" he says, pushing away his finished plate and rising to make his way over to Ombre.
OOC @ Sidewinder:
Shall I add the weapons to my inventory for the moment?
Seeing Jonathan suck in air through his teeth after taking a gulp, Finan simply jabs a thumb over to him. "Whatever he's having. This is an excitable town, could use a little something to settle my nerves." As she begins pouring, he quickly glances down at the symbol on his key, wondering if he has the same room he had before, then leans in a little bit closer to Ombre and says, "Are you aware of the passageway in the room, the last one on the right?"

Is the symbol on the key the same as the one I had yesterday? (ie, same key, same room?)
Everyone seems to have been given the same keys that they held the night before.
"What guests do in their room is their own business," she says gently. "That is the way of the Wishing Well."Her tone makes you feel that she's aware of what you're mentioning but has some level of discretion regarding it.
Jonathan drinks his share of the pint as soon as he gets it. Taking a breath, he asks for another to be poured before bringing the round back to the table. "Okay, so what is our plan?" He asks, seemingly purposely distracting himself from the conversation he excused himself from. "If there is only gods know what going on, how are we going to shrug off this 'divine comedy' of theirs?"
Eira turns to Knok and says, "He said something about articles written by this Gunthar during the meeting with Krusk. Maybe he ran off to find them. I haven't seen him since I left the shrine."
Knok looks at Eira, as if scrutinizing her, several emotions playing across his wide-set goblinoid face - confusion, frustration, concern, and finally satisfaction. "Thank you," he says, "Without knowing where Quentin went, Knok cannot find him."

"I'm with Paren on this one. We need to find the fragments and we can decide what to do with them afterwards. Maybe this entity of his can help us track the rest of the fragments down." Tanni addresses Paren, "You just keep this spirit of yours in check. If I see you going crazy, I won't hesitate to knock you out cold and drag your elven butt to a priest for a cleansing."
Hearing his name Paren looks up from the letter. "That seems fair. Though I would suggest hitting me on the head and not the butt if you want the desired effect."
"Finan, or someone else, could you help me try to decipher this note. It seems I'm to tired to concentrate well. I've figured out that it is between a Speaker and a Thief but who they are or what they are doing has escaped me so far."

"Sure," Finan says, accepting the letter between two fingers and then placing it in front of him. With a sidelong glance at Jonathan, he says, "I think that is the plan. Try and find the fragments, or at least it's source, if you're up for it. If that strange guard is still out there tomorrow, I'd like to get past him and see what's in those crates, or maybe find out where they are coming from. Maybe with a bit more force than today."
He shrugs, then sets his eyes to the letter in front of him, taking a moment to focus on that, instead.
Paren warily pushes himself up from the table. "Well, if that's the plan then I'm going to bed for the night. Touching the stone really takes a lot out of you. I would not recommend it to anyone else. Maybe if we need to tomorrow I should do any carrying. That way we keep this to one person."

Ombre looks up from her book when Finan approaches. "Yes?," she asks kindly.

Looking around, Knok comes to a sudden realization, standing up in his chair.
"Where's Quentin?," he asks, with clear concern.

She offers a soft smile and says, "I'm sure your friend will come back." She lets out a yawn before stretching.
She thinks for a moment before saying, "I wonder how many pieces of the shard there are. Do you think they're all here in Holden Heights?"
Paren nods his head. "I would think that they are. Doesn't make much sense for Gunthar to leave any behind."
