Finan and Tanni may each roll an investigation check.
When Paren arrives back to his room, he finds that nothing has changed from the prior evening except that the bed has fresh linens and anything that may have been out of place has been returned to its rightful place.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Finan fights back a sudden urge to simply pick up Tanni and place her on his knee, caught off guard by the almost fatherly feeling towards the Gnome. With a smile to himself, he simply scoots over a little and turns the paper for her to see, shrugging the feeling off as the stress of the past days taking effect. "I'm not sure. It's not written in clear language. Here, help me figure this out."
As FInan looks over the letter, he finds that the words all make sense but they're not put into any order that would make proper sentences or meanings. He does catch the words Speaker and Thief but it's unclear why they're there. Looking at the wax seal that had been broken to read the letter, he sees the insignia of a round circle with a square hole had sealed the letter.

Effective after your long rest:
Congrats! You have reached Level 3. Please level up your character accordingly. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to get them answered quickly.
(Sorry for not posting much over the past day. Had a migraine day, but feeling a bit better now. Jonathan will have agreed with the "rest and wait" side of things, wanting to spend a bit of cash on hopefully not going to bed sober.)
Jonathan finds the change in demeanor in Ombre a bit interesting. Today, she doesn't seem to be taking coin from anyone in the group as they order their drinks and secure their rooms.
After reading the note a couple of times and failing to make sense to it, Tanni harrumphs and stands up. "Looks like a bunch of nonsense. Maybe a stiff drink helps us decipher it" she says and fetches a couple more drinks to the table. "They're free, so might as well drink your fill." She takes a long gulp, burps and returns to the note, trying in vain to find some sense to it. She finally takes note of the broken seal and turns to Finan. "Do you still have that coin with the hole with you? I think the note was sealed with one of them."
"Hmm, noticed that too." Finan replies. With a hint of annoyance he folds up the letter and puts it in his pocket, then with a quiet voice speaks to those gathered at the table. "If any of y'all are interested in meeting a God, come to my room tomorrow morning before breakfast. He's connected to this letter, and I mean to find out what it is. I want some answers. About what's happening in town, too."
He sits back, looking to get lost in thought, then snaps back and adds,"Ah, last door on the right. That's mine. Now, let's just sit back and enjoy the evening at least, eh? Leave the Godly troubles for tomorrow. Anyone want to hear me play again?"
Those gathered around the table finish up their drinks and conversation before retiring to their rooms for the evening. The events of the day allow for sleep to come quickly to those that seek it.
Morning arrives without fanfare. You gather up your items from your room and head into the hallway where you find Finan standing with his door held open and waiting.
Somewhat adrift without his mentor and patron, Oppenholdt, and without the company of his fast friend Quentin, Knok is feeling quite uncomfortable. His adopted city is seemingly under attack from a mysterious, divine enemy, and Knok feels quite powerless to do anything about it. Hastily finishing his meal, and without so much as a word to his companions, Knok picks up his key and retires to his room.
Alone, he takes off his armor, lets his sword belt fall to the floor, and sits on his bed, trying to center himself - to focus on something good, something happy, something that he can lean on to go forwards. Almost unbidden, Knok's mind returns to time he spent under Oppenholdt's tutelage, to the simple cantrips that the gnome wizard tried so patiently and carefully to teach Knok. The lessons went poorly, but not for Knok's inability to grasp the concepts. No, those lessons failed because of Knok's impatience and fear of failure. In a moment of clarity, he connects those lessons, in the intimidating locale of Oppenholdt's busy, cramped wizard's lab and study to the practical application of magic that Knok witnessed Quentin wield. Something...clicks... in the goblin's mind and he sees magic with a new clarity. Knok knows he'll never be wizard, not even anything close. But...he might just be able to blend magic with his crude goblin swordcraft, and that's good enough for him.
With sudden clarity, Knok wiggles a finger, and speaks a quiet, simple syllable, causing a small harmless crackle of energy and sparks in the air before him - his first spell. The goblin grins, excited at how far he's come, and how he's been able to learn from Oppenholdt after all. His friend would be proud.
Mechanics:
Mechanically speaking, Knok's going with the Eldritch Knight subclass and just cast Prestidigitation.

Paren steps out into the hallway, rubbing his head where a small bruise is forming. He looks to Finan at the end of the hallway. "Are we going again? If it's all the same to you I would like to stay close to you. You have my weapons after all."
After he gets closer he says, "I think I've figured out the identity of the being in the stones. It seems to be a brother god to Lugh. Where Lugh is the creator of life, this god is the Shepard of Death, maintaining the other half of the balance. It explains the similarities between the way they communicate and the stones."

Tanni steps into the hallway, her backpack already packed and slung on her back. She's brimming with energy and is eager to get going and stomps to Paren and Finan. "Morning! Slept well? I know I did, haven't felt this energetic for a while!" She loudly proclaims and stares expectedly at the two as she cracks her shoulders and knuckles.
Rested, rejuvenated, and excited to put the personal revelations of the previous night into practical application, Knok rushes out of his room, slaps his room key down on the bar, takes a plate of food and mug of whatever is available, and devours it in mere moments. Looking up from his plate, Knok says excitedly, "Where to today? What's the plan? Where do we go and what do we do?"

The group gathers in the hallway discussing their next plans. Finally, Finan motions for you all to enter his chambers and closes the door behind you. He takes a small coin with a square hole in the middle and slides it into the frame of a giant painting in his room. The painting is similar to the ones in your room but you notice little differences here and there. As the coin slides into the frame, you hear the sounds of mechanical gears in motion as the painting opens into a hidden chamber behind it. You can feel the cool air flow from the tunnel hinting that it leads to somewhere even deeper underground that the room you're currently standing in.
With some ecouragement, the group makes their way into the tunnels and in finds themselves in a small room. It is pitch black down here but someone wisely lights a candle to illuminate the area for those without the ability to see in the dark.
You all see four candles mounted on the walls. A mother, father, son, and daughter are painted so that each is near one candle. You see no drippings of used wax to discern clues from. On the opposite side of the small room, you all see a closed wooden door. It looks to be made of the same wood that was found in the nearby forest though it is clear that the door and tunnels have been here quite some time.
As you look at the paintings, you notice that the mother is the same in appearance as you've seen in the shrine to Shamara. Her peaceful smile and outstretched hands bring you some level of comfort. You look to the father and sees the face of an older man with a long white beard. You are all able to see that the son's face is hidden by a depiction of a full face performance mask. The daughter on the other hand appears rather reserved and looks out at the room in a rather stern expression.
Thinking back 24 hours to the last time he stood in this chamber, Knok tries to remember which candles were lit to move forwards. "Last time, we lit everything but the daughter candle. The door opened. Knok thinks we should do the same thing now." Knok looks around for any disagreement, eager to cast Prestidigitation to light the candles.
Jonathan comes downstairs a little groggy still. All the ale he could handle aided in him not overthinking things last night, but he pays for it this morning. "Morning..." He grumbles to the others, his normally well kept hair still strewn around with the typical bedhead one would expect from a layabout.
Paren looks at the candles again. "I think that's a good idea Knok. If we want the same results then we should do the same things." He seems much more wide awake and alert than he did last night, almost as if the exhaustion he was feeling was gone.

You all watch as Knon channels a power that you hadn't seen before to light the candles before the Mother, the Father, and the Son. He then moves to the door and gives the handle a turn to open it.
Knok carefully opens the door and moves into the room. He looks to his left and right making sure there are no surprises before moving forward behind one of the many large pillars that most likely are the foundation of the Wishing Well above as well as the several stories of building above that. The others slowly follow and take in the sight of a large room with a central table. The wood of the table is very old and appears to be all one piece. You soon realize it is made from the giant trunk of a tree that has long been dead. Intricate carvings have been made into the table but it's hard to make out their depictions in the dim flickering light from candelabras throughout the space.
The room is rather barren. Everything is purely functional it would seem. As the lights dance above, you see that no wax is dripping. They seem to be magically lit to illuminate the room as needed.
Finan and Tanni may each roll an investigation check.

Tanni has similar luck in attempting to decode the jumble of words and finds much the same thanks to Paren pointing those two words out earlier.
Looking over the letter leaves Tanni and Finan more confused than they were before they tried to read it.
